Dont be afraid to take your car here. Owner Jake is a stand up guy. Jobs are quick and efficient. To those who say overpriced I cry foul. Prices are extremely fair. You want cheap do it yourself for parts otherwise shhh the adults are working.. Cant say enough about this place. They have my biz for sure

I’m disabled, raising a child with autism and raising my granddaughter since my oldest passed away. I took my Chevy pickup to this shop because they had been in business for so long. My truck was lagging at slower speeds but fine when doing 50 mph and up and it had an oil leak. I supplied a gallon of high mileage oil, oil pan gasket and fuel filter. I was told it was checked out and needed $1668.49 worth of parts and labor and that the oil leak was from oil pan gasket and seals. They said it was possible that the truck has a couple of small leaks as well. They called and said it was fixed. I picked it up and drove to Charlotte to discover it wasn’t fixed at all It still had the same problems. I took it back and they replaced the oil pan gasket again because it was under warranty they said and that the leak was fixed but now the lagging was from a transmission problem and they don’t fix transmissions. On my way home my brakes failed. I still have oil leaking. When I called them they said they would look at it again for the oil leak but I’d have to pay for a tow truck! Now they just give excuses as to why they didn’t diagnose the problem correctly. I live on a budget. Now I am $1668.49 short and still have a truck that is not fixed or usable!!! DONT USE THIS SHOP unless you have money you don’t want and a vehicle that you don’t want fixed!!!!!!!!! They obviousley don’t know their trade unless it’s a basic servicing.

the workers attitude was efficient, service was mostly inexpensive but unfortunately the repairs only lasted two days before the same problem came back. appointment was made for 1, car didn’t get serviced until at least 4 - with no updates as to what was going on with it. this was a service for my mothers vehicle.

I called to ask their hourly rate on repairs and the guy just hung up on me after i asked, sometimes not speaking at all can speak volumes.

Great communication with regard to the repairs and what was needed. Quality of service was great, only downfall was it was by appointment which made it take a little longer. However they got started on it early and did great work.

After a ticking sound developed with my 2007 Silverado 2500, I determined it was most likely an exhaust manifold issue. They were able to get me scheduled for repair within a few days and the repairs were completed quickly and properly. I have been fortunate to have not needed a lot of repair work but am very satisfied knowing that they will do great work with my vehicle. Tim was also very friendly and seemed genuinely appreciative of my business. Will definitely return for any future issues and would recommend them for your auto repair needs.

The are under new owners, Jacob or Tim will usually answer the phone, Jacob is who I talked to, he has been great helping me sort out some small issues with my car. If or when they become major I will give them first try.

This review is soooo long overdue. Replace my Radiator & Hose, Ball Joints, & diagnose a bad Air Conditioning Pully. I have had three different emergencies, and these guys were great!!! They are knowledgeable, have fast quality service, the staff is friendly & knowledgeable & reasonably priced for the services they provide. I won't take my truck anywhere else.

I had a great experience here! They listened to the description of what happened and what we thought was wrong, called the next morning to confirm our thoughts, quoted us a great price for the fan repair, and had the car ready the day after that. No attempts to upsell, no condescending attitudes, and no hassles! I will definitely recommend this shop to anyone in Dickson, TN or nearby.

These are the worst mechanics I have ever been to. I took my car in because it was making a loud noise. A mechanic diagnosed it and said he was sure it was the water pump that was shaking and making the noise because it wasn't secure. They said they replaced my water pump. As soon as I picked up my car and started to drive it away it was still making the same noise. I took it to two other mechanics that both immediately said it was the alternator that needed to be replaced. When I took it back and told them it was still making noise and that it was most likely the alternator they checked it out and agreed it was the alternator that needed to be replaced. They would not give me any money back although they admitted they gave me the wrong part and misdiagnosed the entire thing. the best they were willing to do was not charge me labor for replacing the alternator. Funny thing is what they wanted to charge me without labor was the same price two other mechanics were going to charge me for the job with labor. So not only did they do a job my car didn't need and admit that they made a mistake, they were unwilling to reimburse me and then they lied to me about not charging me labor. These people are Crooks I would never take my car there again and Anyone who reads this should know that they are the reason there's a stigma against mechanics. People like this that fix things you don't need and then try to rope you in to nickel and dime you all the way. Classic crooked mechanics I can't say enough bad things about this shop.

We had our car towed midday on a Monday, we were quoted Thursday to have it looked at which was great as it was, but they had our car diagnosed & fixed by the end of the day the same day we had it towed. Awesome service, super friendly people & fast!! Will use them in the future.

I most definitely recommend Dickson Auto Repair for any of your maintenance or car repair needs! The associates were extremely respectful and nice. They fixed my car in a very timely manner and fixed it well! I am very pleased and impressed with my overall experience and I don’t believe you’ll be disappointed with your service either!! Don’t waste your time with anyone else!

I highly recommend this business. I was in desperate need of assistance with my car. I live 2 hours away but my vehicle was in Dickson. Had my car towed to him and he calibrated my interlock device so that it could be driven home and didn't charge me a dime because of the situation I was in. Super nice guy!!

I had them work on my car a few months ago for an engine repair that cost $4000. A few weeks back I had it brought back in because I had to put in 2.5 quarts just to see the oil on the stick. I am not sure if they fixed anything though. They smoked cigarettes in my car. Very disrespectful. Check engine light went on after just a few days of them working on my car. But who smokes in your car? Too many red flags so I will have my car looked at by a mechanic I trust.

These guys are awesome! They get a 10+ stars from me. I was having issues with my Jeep Wrangler not keeping coolant. The mechanic found a crack in my radiator and he fixed it. But after taking it for a test run after installation there was a whole other issue. I had a blown head gasket. The owner, Mr. Tim notified me right away of the issue and gave me an honest quote on the repair. The next day I called him back and let him know his mechanic could go ahead and fix it. Within a few weeks it was all fixed and road ready. Thank you so much Mr. Tim and your team for getting me back on the job. If I ever have any issues again, I’ll definitely be coming back.

Could not be happier with these group of guys at Dickson County Auto Repair. I was having a lot of issues and they were able to fit me in before my scheduled appointment. The talented ones always find a way. Thank you once again!

I took my car there and they told me it was going to be 1,300 dollars to fix the problem. Took it to another place and they charged me 90 dollars for the part and a 150 to put it on. This place was fixing to rip my sister off like no other!! There dishonest people and I will make sure to tell everyone in Dickson county what a joke Dickson county Auto is!!!! Never use these people!!!!!!! They will rip you off!!!!!!!!!

Excellent customer service and timely repair. My truck was fixed and ready to come back to me in a day. Tim is always super helpful and professional. The mechanics do a fantastic job of keeping my old truck running and ready for travel all over the US!

They were able to diagnose and fix my car few days earlier than I expected and were extremely friendly/accommodating the entire time. I would highly recommend to anyone who needs auto repair done in the Dickson area.

They installed my interlock device and did a great job. Everyone that I encountered was so friendly and helpful. It was my first time there specifically for the device installation, but they made such a good impression that I will definitely take my business to them from now on! I highly recommend this shop! *Edited to add: I now bring my car here for any repairs & they put my new set of tires on. They are my go to mechanics for everything!

I have just moved to the area and was on the road when my battery light came on and the charge indicator started to drop...a sure sign the alternator is shot. Their shop was just ahead on the right so I pulled in. They were all super polite and had a new alternator in and I was out the door in an hour. They showed me the cost of the new part (I don't do rebuilt parts) and the labor charge for an hour. They even changed my oil while I was there and gave me a discount since they already had the car in the bay. They were very honest and up front about everything. I WILL go back for any other work I need done.

They are not the friendliest bunch. The guy at the counter asked me what I was there to have done .... That's it. Not another word.. BUT I am fine with that! Talk is over rated anyway.. They fixed what was wrong in 25 minutes and I paid half of what I would have paid had I gone to a dealership. I will be back!!

My car wouldn't start so I made a call and had it towed to Dickson County Auto Repair. They got me the right part, fixed it up, and the car runs fine now. I appreciated that they got me up and moving without trying to sell me or quote me a bunch of other services. It felt honest and fair. I'd recommend them.

Great people had a rough start with them but in the end they delivered and now I feel good about bringing my truck back if the need arises. The reason for the rough start was my front tires fell off because the bolts holding them on got striped and torn up leading to me having to buy new wheels and tires. But they are honest and straight foward.

Been doing business with them a long time now, they have done work on all 3 of our vehicles, I like taking my vehicles to people I can trust and talk to that aren't a corporation who just see $$. Anytime there's a issue they call me and give me a run down, or will show me on the specific vehicle if I don't get what there saying. ...I do bring parts in, and haven't had any issues with that, mainly because I try and research and know what I'm buying first. If u buy junk parts you'll get junk results.

They did some work on my car, o2 sensor replacement, ignition module, etc. Plenty of tune spent with the hood up as you can see and they let me drive my car off with a crack in my engine. I hadn't thought to check anything under the hood because I figured "my car was just at the shop, they wiuld have noticed anything that I could spot myself." I was wrong. As soon as my car started sputtering and I looked at the engine myself it didn't take me two minutes to spot the damage. It was very dangerous to drive my car under the condition it was in and they let me drive away with it. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Very unsatisfied with the service.
