Rutledge Falls is a cool little spot that takes maybe 3 minutes to walk to from the parking lot. Depending when you go it can be a bit crowded, but it's close enough I just avoid it when it is. Getting to the bottom of the falls isn't really what I'd call a difficult hike, but I could see it being challenging for someone with mobility issues. All and all it's a great little spot.

Stunning, beautiful, and worth the trip. If you like waterfallls and streams, this will not disappoint!

Short and fairly easy walk to one of the most beautiful places. Pack a backpack. And make a day of it and explorer this beautiful waterfall and its surroundings

This is just what I was looking for! A beautiful waterfall with a long way to be able to hike up and down the waterfall.

I love Rutledge Falls. It is a very beautiful area where you can swim or just wade in the water. I always like to hike along the side of the river. Getting down to the Falls is a little difficult. I would not recommend the hike down to it for people with any mobility issues. It can be very slick and it is steep. But you can see the Falls with a short walk from the parking lot. There is a lovely statue there as well. This is actually a privately owned property but the owners are kind enough to let people go down into the Falls area. Please pack out all trash and leave it better than you found it. I would hate to see this place lose its public access.

Beautiful place to visit, wear good shoes for the rough path, bring some water shoes down by the falls. Always remember to take out your trash. Don’t trash Tennessee ?

A beautiful spot to relax and cool off. The water is crystal clear and refreshing. A cool breeze combined with the shade and cascading water kept the heat in check. Wear water shoes while wading and swimming; bare feet will not fare well with the rocky floor. The surroundings were clean, but there was some trash/liter thoughtlessly discarded by the lower life forms. The owners of this property were generous enough to allow the public access to the beautiful falls at no cost to the participants. My wife and I spent 10 minutes picking up the discarded cans, wrappers, diapers, and cups. We try to leave these beautiful places better than when we first encountered them. This message is meant to shame the shameless liter bugs who probably don't read reviews longer than two words...if they read at all!

Absolutely loved this place. But yall, this is not an ideal place for anyone under 5. It is a strep hike down to the falls. You’re being risky to carry a child down it. It may look short but it’s steep and low key dangerous and slick. Someone a woman mid 30s looked somewhat fit, fell/slipped several feet and had to be taken by ambulance when we went. Wear good hiking boots and take water shoes for walking on the stones.

Beautiful place! I brought my puppy and the huge rocks were too hard to walk with her in my arms. so just a heads up it’s a bit of hassle to get to the water with the huge boulders everywhere.

I really appreciate the owner letting people enjoy this beautiful place. I try and pack out others trash and keep this place looking awesome. we all need to help keep our world clean so we can share this with future generations!

We visited Rutledge Falls yesterday, and it was absolutely worth the short drive—less than an hour from home! The waterfall is beautiful, and the spot is perfect for swimming, whether you're an adult or bringing kids. It was quite crowded since we went on a weekend, but that’s expected for such a popular place. What’s even better is that it’s very accessible from the road. No long hike required and you can bring your dogs too! A great spot to cool off, relax, and enjoy nature with the whole family.

It is definitely a pretty waterfall but if you get there around noon it is extremely crowded! My dad and I decided to count how many people were at the falls when we were there, and we counted nearly 100. It is still worth the look because it is such a short distance to see!

So beautiful.. The climb down a little scary we where really not prepared but made it down. It's a hidden gem.. will definitely be coming back. Pictures do it no justice.

Definitely must visit! Little bit of a hike down, but the view is worth it! Feels like being in another world. The waterfalls are just gorgeous! Our family had a great time! We will be visiting again and again.

Absolutely gorgeous waterfall. However you do walk through private land so be thoughtful & kind. If I'd had a bag, I would have picked up trash that had been left behind by others that don't appreciate nature or the generosity of the landowner. I'll definitely be back but not during Bonarroo wkend & when school is back in session. It was to crowded at 1 o2 in the afternoon for my comfort. Also ppl be smart this waterfall is beautiful but also dangerous. I saw many ppl climbing around on it & I'll just say one idiot that was looking to jump. Thankfully he didn't because he may not have seen from where he was standing was all rocks. So many ppl don't read reviews or study about an area, they see or hear it's pretty & just go with no planning on what they might be getting into. Not just this waterfall... I've seen it happen at many places. There's also a rock scramble to get to the water so use caution.

Easy to get to. The falls are beautiful, water was so cold. Lovely place to spend an afternoon. Thankful for the land owners that keep this accessible for everyone to enjoy.

Breathtaking waterfalls. The immediate trail to the falls is a bit more climbing over rocks. Well worth the effort. Very popular spot to take a dip and cool off. Once you get down to the river level there are large rocks to rest on or meander along the river.

Nice hike and beautiful sight. It was hard to access the falls because the rain but we managed it and it was worth it. Can’t wait for the warmer weather coming so we could swim there. The trails are well maintained and clean some areas are steep to climb. Dogs on a leash allowed.

Large, pretty falls on private property. Good path down to the river, but then large rocks need to be gotten over and around to get to the falls itself. I don't recommend it for people with small children or mobility issues.

Stunning! Visited the falls the day after storms came through the region and the water was flowing at a powerful rate. Wear sturdy shoes and be aware of the usual issues with hiking terrain. Parking is free and first-come-first-serve and the info/rules posted at the gate remind all to be good stewards of the property and forest. Views and beauty are exquisite, and be sure to visit “Night,” the Lady of the Falls. A quick internet search can give you her full story, starting in Nashville. Enjoy!

This place is gorgeous. Bring a picnic & spend the day or just hours. It is so beautiful & peaceful. Great place to play in the water in the summer. Very cold water The walk back to the falls isn’t long or difficult. The climb down can be tricky but very doable.

A very nice waterfall. Worth a visit if you can make the hour plus drive from Nashville. When you walk down the path be aware two levels of the waterfall exists and it's worth it to check out the upper level to for a more relaxed experience. The lower falls area is beautiful and there is a nice pool for swimming up to them. There is not much space to sit and no where to stay dry if there is any wind so just expect to be moist at least. Also the water is freezing most of the time so this is a good hot day activity. Please be respectful of the private property and leave no trace. And absolutely please don't take, move, or stack rocks. 5 stars for the kinda people that facilitate access to this treasure.

Easy walk to the falls, but it is steep and can be slippery. The falls are beautiful, but unfortunately, it was very crowded and people not picking up after themselves. There were empty plastic water bottles and trash left behind.

Visited Rutledge Falls July 27, 2024, in Tullahoma, #Tennessee. It is very stunning! It is a popular local swimming hole so hard to photograph without people in the picture. Recommend visiting in fall, winter and early spring if you are hoping to capture it without lots of people. I loved it nonetheless! Very short walk but medium descent and ascent to and from the base of the falls. You can see it from up top if you prefer not to go down to base of falls. Parking is free by nearby church. Falls located on private property. Owners allow access at your own risk. Please don’t litter when visiting.

Not very far of a hike, 5 minutes to reach. But the climb down is steep and very slippery, due to traffic. Got smaller falls upstream, walkable. A few swim hole and fishing spots. Pretty crowded and hard to take pictures of the entire fall.

LOOOVE!! It’s amazing. It’s a bit difficult to get down to the waterfall, but it’s definitely worth it. Wear good hiking shoes and clothes. You have to watch your step on the rocks leading down to the river. There’s a great little hike along the river as well, but be careful –it’s very slippery.

Most beautiful waterfall I have seen in a long time. The whole area is super beautiful and it a short walk from where u park to get to the water falls. Slippery area and I walked all the way down the trail and came to some flat rocks in the back which was the most beautiful spot I have ever been in. Something in realistic just being in that area.

It's awesome. Parking is sparse but that's known Up front. 3 small falls to enjoy. No picnic tables but plenty of spots to set up a blanket to bring food. Just take your trash out with you.

Absolutely beautiful!!! We went on a week day in the Fall, so there wasn't a lot of people there and we loved it. There isn't a whole lot of parking so you want to get there early especially in the hotter months. The views are Absolutely gorgeous!!! I don't feel like the pictures and videos I took did this place justice. Thank you to the owners for keeping this place open to the public. We appreciate you letting us see this beautiful place!!!

Beautiful falls and stream! The main water falls are amazing with the "Lady of the Falls" watching over everyone. Some of the rocks are covered in moss and wet leaves so they can be slippery, so be careful! Wonderful little hike down the river to other smaller 'falls' and scenic areas. Can't wait to go back when the colors are changing!
