This place is amazing, fantastic hours (7-7 all week long) staff was helpful when not sitting in the little hut on their phone...plenty of dumpsters for your recyclables....easy in and out. Love it!
Only for city residents. All of the recycling is mixed into one. Cardboard cans plastic etc. It felt small and dingy compared to the one on Levi. I was also afraid encountering the old man in other reviews. Thankfully I didn't but I won't go back there unless desperate.
For City of Maryville taxpayers only, what a joke!
The man we talked to, was an a$$. I guess he was embarrassed because we caught him using the bathroom in the woods.
As a Maryville resident, I use this drop off location all the time. I appreciate the city service very much. It's kept clean and neat. Sure wish there was a place close by for glass.
No line to recycle cardboard when I went. The employee working verified my address then helped me unload. People complain it’s for city residents, but we’re the ones who have to pay for it. I don’t use city of Alcoa or Knoxville services because I don’t live in those cities. This is no different.
I was rudely told that non-Maryville residents can not use the facilities. The older man there was VERY unnecessarily rude. Why are people that are trying to recycle and reduce waste being turned away? Do NOT recommend.
I have newspapers to recycle and have been here numerous times. Today an older man came out said I need your address. He said where is that .. oh no this is for city tax payers only! Really? Well if I can’t find somewhere to take I guess I can’t recycle!
After dropping off my recycling there for almost 2 years AND having previously been vetted as a person that could use this recycle center by previous Maryville employees, some old guy was there today who asked for my street address then told me that I could not drop off my recycling there. Get your act together Maryville. I don't pay my taxes to get told that I can't use a facility that I should be able to.
This should be a negative star rating. It's absolutely ridiculous that only people who live inside Maryville city limits can take their recyclables there. And the guy they have patrolling the place is a complete dick.
Easy place to recycle at. Paper, Plastic, Glass and metals can all be mixed up so it's very easy. My only complaint is that they'll only accept recycling from people who live within Maryville city limits, which seems odd.
