We were returning home from a celebration when our vehicle experienced mechanical issues. After waiting over an hour for the insurance company to send a tow truck, they called back to say they still had not secured a towing service and did not have an ETA. We decided to call a tow service on our own. Schroeder's answered their phone when others did not. The driver that assisted us arrived in 30 minutes or less. Brandon was such a blessing! He made sure that we were safe, ensured our ride was there before leaving, and went above and beyond to make sure our vehicle was dropped off in a safe location. I cannot recommend them enough!!!! Thanks for being a bright spot in an unexpected and damper situation!

I’m traveling and wasn’t familiar with a tow company to call when I found myself in bind. This company came highly recommended! My service was wonderful. Last week I paid over $1,100 to replace the driver cv joint and today while driving the piece snapped disconnecting from the tire leaving me immobile in the middle of a very busy main road. I was picked up very quickly and the driver JEREMY WAS AMAZING. His personality is so pleasing and his customer service was beyond exceptional. Thank you for sending Jeremy to assist me during an already difficult time in my life. He was able to keep me focus although I was panicking because my husband and I just returned from out of town in this same vehicle. So the thoughts of what could have happened if this piece broke while we were doing 80 on the highway were really freaking me out. Thank you Jeremy.

Two words: Customer Service!!! Our car broke down on I-20 and Michael went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure we were ok and that our car made it to dealer for repairs. Michael was very understanding, patient, and kind! He even made sure my family of 4 (plus our dog) were able to fit in his truck (although the dispatcher, “Greg”, told us the tow truck driver wouldn’t have any room for us???) Then, as if he didn’t do enough, Michael offered to drive us to the Columbia Airport so we could pick up our rental car! Definitely custom service at its best!!! We are grateful for Michael and Schroeder’s Towing (Greg- not so much).

Parked next to the black truck 50yards from this small sign on a different building and they towed me. Called the number and the guy said $190 then when we get there to pick it up they changed the price to $277. Absolutely nothing you can do with these crooks.

Overall an outstanding experience with the towing company, with a big special shoutout to Brandon, Michael, and Steven. They were all extremely helpful, courteous, nonjudgmental, and very personable. Because of the nature of the accident I was in, my vehicle ended up in the woods down a steep ditch. Two tow trucks were needed and it took almost an hour to get the car out. They did it without a single complaint, were very professional and efficient, and were gracious enough to bring my car back to my house at 10 p.m. that night. Absolutely phenomenal service and would highly HIGHLY recommend them for anything you might need.

Had my 95 year old grandfather over for the night. He's handicapped and has poor mobility so I parked in the handicap spot. No I don't have a permit, and I own that, but my passenger was heavily handicapped. It was almost 10pm at my apartment complex and no one was gonna use it any that night. I wake up to go to work and my car is gone. I call around and find out Schroeder's towed it. I ask the guy what the impound fee is and was told $260. I said ok I will pick it up later in the day. Calls are recorded so tell me I'm wrong. After work I go to get my vehicle and am told the bill is now over $300 and that because I waited over 12 hours I had to pay storage fees. No one told me on the phone about that. Again, they recorded the phone call. Not to mention I was told that it was picked up at 2am...in the middle of a bad thunderstorm. How would I know that it was towed then, and when 12 hours would be? Regardless, they made me pay to get my vehicle, which is a Land Rover. They didn't lock my airbag suspension, and my vehicle is AWD, and now my vehicle pops when raising and lowering, and shakes. This place is crooked and sloppy. Like most have already, I'm expecting a pitiful deflection of guilt that they didn't do anything wrong to me or my vehicle.

Brian was easily the most professional, kind, and capable individual I could have hoped for when my car decided to blow a belt. I was genuinely in the worst mood until I met Brian, but after meeting him I feel I haven’t just gotten my car towed, I’ve also made a friend in the process. Just had a tow with this company from Columbia SC to the Greenville area. We broke down on I26 in a construction zone. Our technician Mike responded within 30 minutes and had us loaded in no time at all. He's definitely a pro at what he does Traffic was never blocked or stopped on the interstate. My dad was involved in a four car accident on Dreher Shoals Road Saturday evening. We call Schroeder's to pick up his vehicle and get it to the house while the ambulance took dad to the ER. Brandon Chapman was the gentleman that came for his car. It was loud on the side of the road when I called for assistance. Brandon had to call me back. He was super! Very kind, patient and helpful. First, I want to say thank you for picking up my vehicle, however afterwards I had to retrieve my person belongings from my VW after it was in a collision. The driver who met me at the metro Columbia location made me pretty uncomfortable. He was hovering over us, picking stuff out my trunk and just monitoring too close for comfort. He literally was watching my every move, when he came over as I was transferring items out he says “everything okay” I’m like yes I am just trying to move items while watching my daughter as well, he’s like oh I can watch her while you remove items; he’s waving and waving at her. She never smiles back or even makes much eye contact. She’s 18 months and can pick up uncomfortable energy fairly well. I said no we’re good my husband is on his way. Thank god my husband showed up shortly. It was as if he was rushing us at the same time while hovering. I understand he had another pick up on forest drive. My biggest concern is to respect the customers space and privacy, especially women please.

Update: The response from the owner below is false. At first, they lied and said the vehicle, which was lawfully parked in my driveway at a house I OWN, was towed at 8am. Well, I have a ring doorbell camera and can clearly see my vehicle parked in my driveway at that time. After going back and forth they admit their mistake and it was towed at 10:41am. With no notification, no note, nothing. I worked until 535pm and came home to my car stolen. Called the police and reported it stolen. They are required by law to notify police when towing an unoccupied vehicle. I called Schroeders immediately. They said it would be 267$ but I wouldnt be able to get it until tomorrow since they closed at 430pm. I called at 10am the next day and they added a second charge for a 2nd day of storage of 85$. Like I said, poor management. Also below are the pictures of the aftermath of them dragging my All-Wheel-Drive vehicle off my personal property. Enjoy!! The manager, Rebecca, was extremely rude and failed to do her job . It's a shame on her part because everyone else was pleasant and helpful and had great communication. 5/28 Update: false claims again. The hoa has since apologized yet this company refuses to own up to its mistakes. Steer clear!!

Another resident at one of the Devine District apartment buildings where we live called Schroeder’s Towing to tow the rental car we had for the weekend as well as a couple other cars that she did not recognize. When we just happened to see the tow truck arrive, we went to address the situation. Bryan was very empathetic and thanked us for moving the car (even though we were entitled to be there); he was so professional and nice. It was a really pleasant interaction that could easily have gone sour, and I walked away thinking very highly of this company.
