Well maintained grounds and colonial building replicas. They have nature trail and a fishing pond. My family of 6 enjoyed the experience! Jesus loves you! He wants a forever friendship with you. If you believe in Jesus to be the only way to have your wrongs forgiven, then you will spend forever in heaven when you die.

Our grandchildren had a great time fishing...but didn't see any fish. The water may have been to cold. It was beautiful day. Lots of people walking and picnicking

Beautiful Historical Park. We went on an off day so things were closed. But I believe when opened they would have lots to offer.

This park is a hidden gem among the other state parks. Tucked away in the woods right next to the Cataba River it's a very beautiful state park.Plenty of parking for cars to come visit. Has a put in and put out for canoeing and kayaking on the Cataba river This place is definitely a must visit for people that enjoy getting out to nature. Does not have any rv hookups or places for overnight camping, only for a day trip. It is a perfect park to go to.

Lived here for over ten years and finally had a chance to come here. It was really nice. Even met one of the grounds keepers and he was super nice, he even had a small dog as a co-pilot riding with him. Nice place I'll have to come back and try the fishing.

We LOVE this place!!! Great trails, fishing spots, a playground, public restrooms & peddle boats to rent. I’ve been going there for years & now me & my man go frequently!

Beautiful park for a day visit to explore the history or spend the night camping under the stars. Nice fishing lake with bass bream and cats. Hiking trails too.

Quiet and peaceful. Lots of nature. Beautiful park with trails to hike. Really nice exhibits to go through. Camp hosts was very friendly and helpful. I believe his name is Sonny and his dog AJ. Really great buffet just up the road(ask Sonny). The fishing was a lot of fun. Lots of wildlife. The only thing is there was no wifi. We will be back!

Small campground and even though we were on inner loop we had good view of water. Very quiet and NO STREETLIGHTS to keep u awake. If we can get waterfront we will be back.

Decided to randomly swing by on my way back to Charlotte from Columbia. A nice way to break up the drive and learn a thing or two about our 7th president. There is a lake that you can rent canoes/boats and camp around. The trail was closed/under water halfway around, but Llots of families having a good time fishing.

Just an overnight stay. Very peaceful and quiet. Nice hiking trails. Our camping spot looked out over the lake.

I enjoyed this park. The little museum is interesting and the grounds are pretty. The walking trail is nice and the boat rentals for the little pond are cheap and fun. I learned quite a few things about Andrew Jackson that I did not know. We also found a couple of GeoCaches here.

“Perfect spot for a quick getaway from Concord! This park features a scenic and manageable 1-mile loop that’s great for a short walk or light hike. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, and it was pretty quiet — peaceful and not crowded at all. The trail winds through beautiful natural surroundings, though some sections were a bit muddy, so sturdy shoes are a good idea. Overall, a lovely place for a relaxing outdoor escape!”

We had an accessible spot that was anything but accessible, it was paved but had a slope more than 5% so setting up the camper was a problem, the restroom and showers were freezing because of the air conditioning and a step up into them and not in an accessible path. The museum was nice but they are so understaffed that you have to be there when they are in.

Another great state park! The museum is full of interesting information and interactive displays about Andrew Jackson and the time of his childhood. There are 2 trails that are both a mile long. The Crawford Trail has a large clearing with 3 or 4 picnic tables about 1/2 mile in, and there are benches all along the trails. The Garden Trail circles the lake and it is a little more than 1 mile long. It is definitely worth a visit. $3 Adults and $1 kids under 16.

Andrew Jackson State Park is a small park with limited activities, yet it is still a nice and worthwhile visit. There is a small but informative museum on the history of Andrew Jackson, the park's namesake. A small one-room school house is also present along with a statue and several marker stones. There are several day-use shelters available for rent as well. They were busy and being used the weekend we were there with large gatherings. In the museum is a small store with a few souvenirs but no supplies. There is also a nice playground in a shaded grove that the kids enjoyed. There is a campground with 24 sites. The sites are small and relatively close together yet you still felt there was some privacy. We stayed in sites 21 and 23 and unfortunately it rained hard all night one evening and those sites are the low spots so we had rivers running thru the sites. The bathrooms were typical state park bathrooms but were relatively clean and close. The sites are small and I wouldn't advise a rig bigger than 30ft for most sites. The campground loop is very short and somewhat tight. Our 30 foot bumper pull was easy to get through but there is limited site parking for other than your tow vehicle. Water pressure was adequate if not a little low. There is a small lake very close to the campground that is very clear and very shallow. Swimming is NOT allowed, but you can kayak or rent pedal and flatbottom boats. There is also a nature trail that circles the lake but it was "closed" while we were there. You can actually walk about 90% of the trail, but there is a wetland area with a boardwalk and the boardwalk is falling apart which is what is closed. The campground is in the flight path for Charlotte airport so there are continual jets flying overhead and the park is also close to a highway so you hear traffic and emergency vehicle frequently. Cell service is acceptable with us having at least 2 bars of signal almost everywhere.

We did RV camping here and loved this small and quiet park and campground. It has a small loop with a few campsites right on the water. All campsites are in a wooded area. Dump station for RVs is also present. There is a museum to explore with lots of history, garden, outdoor theater, and hiking trails. The playground is located in a shaded area with lake views with shelters and restroom nearby. There is also boat/kayak/catamaran rentals available. Lived how close it is from Charlotte

A great place for some history and hiking. There is a statue of Andrew Jackson and a couple of monuments with some history on them. There is a museum also. The trails loop through the woods and around the lake.

Hey y'all You know I tell the truth when I do my posting so here you go Andrew State Park SC is a great place family-oriented and very clean. Also a THEY ARE PET FRIENDLY, But of course your dog has to be on the leash and they really wish that it's small animals however if they're very friendly not a mean or you know animal that unruly It is a good clean Play tho go we loved it We had a great timethat is a plus plusI love the way we was able to get in our parking place so easy also we went down to the pier and we caught some fish first lake we've been to a while we caught some It was great The only bad experience we have is there's no dumping site at your site you have water hookup and power I understand how you know it cost for other stuff but they do have a dumping site so we had enough for 3 days in our tanks and best thing of all they have a lot of places to grill out You have a grill at your place It was very clean they came in every morning cleaned the restrooms and the shower rooms. I want to add there's also a restaurant it's kind of like a just a little grill they sell hot dogsn and barbecue. And some other things We got a hot dog and man let me tell you it was awesome I wish the knew the name of the grill but I'll find out when we go back next time it was great The food was awesome We were so tired when we got there we didn't want to cook out Mark look see if there's anything around that we could go to and get something quick and that place is only minutes down the road. I would just like to say too it's a great place to go We will go back thank you Andrew State Park

Nice little gem off the beaten path! Spent half a day here learning about Andrew Jackson & just enjoying the quiet, except for the cicadas that were out in full! Worth the side trip if you’re looking for a break from travel or city life!

Pretty park, with a beautiful walkway around the pond. Older park, in need of updates but the restrooms were clean & the sites were pretty good. Only negative is the traffic noise - took away from the sounds of nature & true camping experience for me. I feel the pricing should reflect this and be reduced for this park. But we did feel safe and enjoyed all the walking/hiking areas and all the firefly's lightening up the night skies ☺️

I love this state park! Camped 3 nights. Hiked both nature trails, kayaked the small lake, and walked through the museum and history markers. Highly recommend. Nice playground and picnic area.

This is a nice park combined with history. I only walked the circle with the museum and historic markers to include a large statue of young Andrew Jackson on a horse. I was going to walk one of the trails but it was getting late and my girls were so tired from the trip.

Absolutely amazing state park! Everyone is so sweet and knowledgeable. The host camper went over and beyond to help when we moved to another site for a few more day and he brought over my flowers and put them on the table outside. It's the little things that matter! We will definitely be back.

Had a super fun experience hiking the mile long trail, kind of weird to walk through peoples campsites though. It's a solid mile long and there's a boardwalk that's cool but had several holes in a few spots that a kid could hurt themselves on and my wife almost stepped through one. The playground is fantastic but is not meant for toddlers likey 2 year old. They can play on it but require extra careful supervision and it appears to be missing a step or two but otherwise a very enjoyable experience.

Beautiful park. Only wildlife we saw were a bunch of squirrels and 1 bird. A few friendly vististors. $2/adult admission. A lot of interesting information. Meeting house can be rented, school house and museum were closed. Very nice amphitheater. 1 mile walking trail as well. Horseshoe pit. Lake with boat and canoe rentals. Playground. Tent & camper renal lots.

Beautiful park, enthusiastic and helpful staff. Lake area was well maintained and peaceful. Museum & schoolhouse were fantastic and full of information. Both exhibits kept my 9 year old engaged. Will definitely return

Location is beautiful, nice museum, beautiful trees, a lake and two great trails to hike or run. Great for local day trip. However when it comes down to RVs parking at their campground, that's a totally different story. If you have a small trailer then you'll probably have no trouble staying here. We have a 30 FT long RV and it was pretty tough navigating through the campground as it has narrow road with lots of trees along the path. All sites are paved which is nice but most sites are on moderate to severe grades. Our coach was on a 6 degree downward slope, we were worried about fridge the entire duration of our stay as most forums don't recommend coaches being on slopes 6 degrees or over. Bathhouse was open, there were 2 shower stalls and 4 toilets in women's section. When we first arrived campground was pretty empty and restrooms were clean. By Sunday morning campground was completely full, by then the women's restroom was filthy. I saw lots of tent campers and I'm sure it is easy to camp here compared to RV'ers with large coaches. Park ranger Robert was very friendly and accommodating to our coach needs. I only wish campground itself was larger and sites alot more leveled.
