Took my car in due to the brake lines rusting and the brakes not working, so it HAD to be fixed. Friendly staff and once the problem was identified I was given a surprisingly affordable estimate (I was expecting much more). Though the service took longer than expected (1-2 days turned into 3 days, but that’s happens with fixing cars), but they did the job and now I am up and running again! They also helped fix the seal on my tire/rim that kept losing air. All for a reasonable price! Thanks guys! :)
Took our small collectors vehicle for a new water pump. New it was a difficult job and it took a while, but Jason was up to the task and found and another issue at the same time. Everything was corrected and it's back on the road for hopefully another 15 years or so...many thanks.
Just an update, June 2025. I have been to Auto Doctors three times since my POSITIVE review below. That includes today, as my wife needed an Oil Change and new Front Brakes. EACH time has been an experience leaving me recommending them to people. Try them!!

This is going to be a LONG, review of Auto Doctors.
I called to schedule an appointment for my vehicle, and described noises (that I googled could relate to Brakes, Wheel Bearings, Rotors, or differently could be Suspension, or even Transmission.)
My guess was something Front of vehicle, either Passenger side, or middle.
I was given a time to bring in the vehicle....they are open Mon-Thurs.
When I dropped off the vehicle, I asked if the person behind the desk could take a VERY SHORT RIDE with me....I said "...less than three minutes....."
He was willing to do so, and we went less than 1/4 mile and the noise occurred; as I expected.
I left the vehicle, to be serviced the next day, implying I would contact them by noon.
It took me three calls to get a potential diagnosis of what might be the issue.....I think they were very busy with other vehicles. So, I can't give them 100%....only 99%...haha.
Given what the possibilities were for 'ailments' of the vehicle, I had told my spouse that sight-unseen I would be willing to have the car fixed for $450.....without having any true knowledge of the problem(s).
Near the end of the workday, I called, and they "...had yet to diagnose the noise..." When I suggested that they might need the car overnight, I was told....."...no, we will call before we close..."
I got a call about an hour later.....and as YOU read this, can you 'GUESS" what I might have been told???
When they called me, I was told......(paraphrasing) "...there were loose Lug Nuts we had to tighten on the DRIVER'S front wheel. " He said that we were fortunate, since (he knew) we had been driving the MOUNTAINS of North Carolina a week prior. They had test-driven the vehicle, and the noise was gone.
I was a bit surprised (Driver's side?) and asked how much I would owe....he thought $20, but was unsure.
When I picked up the vehicle, I explained that we had purchased a new tire from another Company approximately 8000 miles ago, and acted disappointed that maybe they had forgotten to tighten the Lug Nuts!!!....and he politely said, "....well, they wouldn't have done it intentionally, and those things can happen..."
The bill WAS only $20, which was obviously minimal, and I drove home.....awaiting what I thought was the inevitable noise to potentially resurface.
IT DID NOT!!!! And, it has NOT.
Some of you may be wondering why I am writing such a LONG review.
I say, because this was an interaction between a Customer (me), and an HONEST auto repair company (Auto Doctors) !!!!
Could they have suggested I needed New Rotors? New Brakes? New Suspension? New Transmission?
As a customer...with limited experience in what I am purchasing.....I put my TRUST in the provider.
It is SO, so REFRESHING to know that there are HONEST people/Companies out there.
I apologize for my LONG review.......but if you have read to this point, I suspect you will know my final words of advice:
Please try Auto Doctors....this was my second experience with them, and they will be my go-to handlers of my vehicle going forward !!!!
Realized I needed engine repair work done on my Toyota 4Runner the day before I was to leave on a trip. Tried to get in at the Toyota dealership, but was getting the run around. Called Auto Doctors and they took me right in, made the repairs in fast order, and sent me on my way. They will get ALL my future business.
This was absolutely the best non-dealer auto repair center I have ever experienced. I was visiting local relatives when a problem developed in my car. They took me on immediately and diagnosed the problem. Instead of trying to soak me, they recommended I take car to the dealer. I can't believe the honesty. I strongly recommend them.

Robert and team took exceptional care of my vehicle. From taking the time to consult and offer suggestions to clearly explaining the labor and parts needed, I couldn’t help but feel confident and supported throughout the repair process, and this old girl had a lot of issues. Highly recommended and would definitely return for future work needed. Here’s to the next 300,000 miles!
Came in for a new radiator. Was quoted $480 for parts and labor, thought it was a bit high but said ok. Then I get a call that I have a burnt exhaust valve and there's a "chunk" missing from the valve. Was quoted $2,000 for the valve job. I asked if they could just do the radiator for now and the valve job later, they said yes. 10 minutes later they call back and say they have to do everything or nothing at all for my "safety." I respectfully decline and tell them I'm coming to retrieve the vehicle. Unbeknownst to them I arrive with a tow truck. We get the car home and look under the hood. EVERY single cap and hose was loose! Radiator was completely empty, there were even screws missing! Good thing I didn't try to drive it home. So much for my "safety."? Last month they changed my oil. They told me if I bring my own oil it would be $20, I didn't have time to pick any oil up. Was charged $55 for my oil change. Maybe don't call yourselves, "Auto Doctors." When I go to the doctor, I don't have to bring my own stethoscope.
My family has used Auto Doctors for over 15 years. Jason and his team have always provided excellent service at fair prices. If you're in Bluffton, it's well worth the 10 minute ride out to their shop!
Auto Doctors been working on our vehicles for many years now, never had any issues with them, we love their professionalism, the honesty, and the quality of the work they do, and how they stand behind every job they handle.
Very good team , hard working and fast. Had my car in and out right before they closed. I used to go to a nearby car shop but switched when I saw auto doctors service.They have been very polite to me and the service is a good price as well as top notch! Very honest
I was in town visiting my family when an emissions problem occurred. I was supposed to leave for another destination that afternoon. My brothers took me to Auto Doctors (said Jason is the best!) and Jason made sure he worked me in. Fixed my issues and got me on my way. I told Jason that I would be visiting him to work on my car on my next visit to SC!
I was going thru town on my way to Hilton head, and a spark plug went out. I stopped at a big name mechanic and they were quoting $900 and insisting all the spark plugs and coils had to be replaced, which is a big job as it involves getting to the rear of the engine block. I told my kids we might have to go home if we had to spend that much. But I was skeptical and went to Auto Doctor. They had it fixed for a quarter of that and I was on my way in an hour. Thank you!!

My wife and I have had our cars serviced by dealer for many years. A friend told us about Auto Doctors--that there services were reasonably priced and professional. We've had our oil changes there and I recently had my brakes replaces--The customer care is great and most of all we trust them for fair pricing and quality work.

As a college student who literally nothing about cars and how they work, Jason and his team made me feel so welcomed, and thoroughly explained everything that was going on with my car. Refused to put in a mobil 1 filter and oil I had. Wanted to charge more for lower quality product. I asked them to charge fair labour, but the greedy owner insisted against it.
Stopped in a few days ago just get basics on services. Blonde gal was on phone, head down,never once made eye contact nor motioned, completely ignored me while standing directly in front desk for over 5 minutes.! Very unprofessional & rude. As member of multiple local car clubs, I would NOT recommend even if the service is expert to my fellow members due to the rudeness.
My power window got stuck down and they were able to get it back up in just a few minutes at a very reasonable price. Going back next week to have them replace the switch. LOVE these guys!
Great people. Knowledgeable in Auto care and service. The folks there are 1st Class when it comes to explaining why something doesn't work. They don't try to over-talk or over-sell you. Prices for repairs are low and quality is HIGH! I've taken 3 cars there, after going to NTB and Tuffy, and each time they solved the problems.
I HIGHLY recommend THE AUTO DOCTORS they really know how to "operate"!
Auto Doctors Hardeeville SC is AWESOME!! My son was traveling back up to MD for college from FL and his car broke down on I95. AAA towed it to Auto Doctors. They diagnosed it needing a new radiator, but unfortunately didn’t have one in stock. Car was out of coolant and was overheated. He needed the car ASAP to get back, so they patched it up and recommended Firestone down the road. He took it to Firestone and got the new radiator. I’m forever greatful to Auto Doctors for taking care of my son. Even though they couldn’t fix it, they showed a lot of compassion to help him and didn’t even charge him. Great people!! Thank you!!
Jason and his team are great. They will quickly diagnose the problem and get you back up and running. They do not try and sell you a bunch of things you do not need. It is hard to find a mechanic you can trust. I would recommend them to everyone.
I can not tell you how great this place is. We r out of state contractors whose aircondition stopped working on a very hot day, not to mention from here we r driving to Arizona. We called the autondoctor with out a appointment and were told bring itand we will see what we can do. They went above and beyond to get the part the same day with only an hour till close. The van is now fixed and we are able to get going down the road. A big thank u to them.
