JOSH arrived about 15 minutes after he was called. He did the pickup very expeditiously and professionally. More importantly, he was kind and sympathetic. It was a pleasure working with him.

This place is a straight rip off. It is exactly the definition of small town price gouging. As soon as the got the car they started charging $50 daily plus charged my daughter $200 to get her belongings and tag off the car. Thry need to be put under investigation with the tactics they use. I pray this place closes down. They get no stars accept for the one in their name. Horrible garage nothing good about them. I would never recommend anyone use this place.
A year ago, around this time, my husband had gotten into some trouble and had to get his car impounded. The officers chose this place. Not only did they overcharge me to tow it a hundred yards, maybe if that it was literally a block away from their garage, and I was charged over $200. It was around 6:00 in the afternoon when the car got towed. When I went to pick it up in the morning when they opened, not a minute later, they charged me for 2 days storage. So if you ever need to use this place or you get an accident and an officer calls them out, I would deny their service because they're a bunch of ripoffs. I doubt they have changed their ways in a year. I also see mixed reviews on this place so maybe they pick and choose who they want to help out.

After being contacted by the State Trooper at the site, the owner/driver of the tow truck responded quickly and was exceptional, kind and very comforting. My car had gone off the road into a 6' ravine and 7" - 8" of water. He came quickly to the accident and after making an assessment/evaluation of the accident, carefully proceeded to bring the car up to the road. I would definitely use Star Garage in the future and especially now that I know they do more than just towing!

Met the owner at 3am when a work vehicle was involved in an accident. 3am! Joseph was polite, professional and gracious. I don't usually get to see people shine during accident investigations during the day much less when most of the state is asleep. He has got this!!! Great company with an amazing work ethic!
My mom and I were driving on I-95S when we had a tire blow out. We were so lucky to have Josh of Star Garage dispatched out to give us a tow. He was so nice and helpful (especially during a very scary and stressful situation). He arrived quickly and soon had our SUV on the tow truck. When the first garage we were taken to said they couldn't help us, he worked hard to find a second place for us to go. He stayed with us until he was certain we would be taken care of. I cannot say how much we were impressed by the service we received!
My husband and I sat in Savannah for THREE AND A HALF DAYS trying to find someone to repair the tandems on our trailer. We drove 15 min to Star Garage and less than 2 hours later our problem was fixed and we were finally able to get back out on the road. THANK YOU SO MUCH STAR GARAGE!!!
I have known Joseph and Heather for 30+ years. I have never had a problem with them concerning any of their work. I do not hesitate to call them or refer customers to them. I know them to be good people and they do all they can do to take care of their customers. The feedback I get from my referrals is always positive. I'm glad they are there for me to call on.
Star Garage in Hardeeville,SC is an awesome company. Early this morning I needed four batteries replaced while at the Pilot truck stop in Hardeeville. I called Star Garage and they were very profession, understood my problem and quickly came out with their service truck and replaced my batteries.Thanks to the two gentleman that came out Logan and the other guy I didn't get his name. They were professional, friendly and got me back on the road fast. I highly recommend Star Garage. Great People.
The police had my vehicle towed because my of an medical emergency and the driver could not drive. This company which is a rip off charged $250 plus an additional $50 for after hour service to tow my car 5 minutes up the road. This is robbery. I will forever leave bad reviews on this horrible company. They told me it’s that price bc it’s on a police rotation meaning that police call these certain companies to tow to keep money circulating. I am very upset at that. That’s a car note for 5 minutes. Highway Robbery. Please NEVER USE THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY EVER if you can avoid it. I hope this company fail for robbing the people.
i came to this shop with a trailer thats has hole in the floor and this gentleman here fixes it for me with a very cheap price and did a very good job!! im glad i came here it was worth my time and money
I don’t understand how anyone could write a negative review on this company. They helped us out when we couldn’t find anyone to tow us in the middle of the night. People are complaining about the money charged, they must not own a business or understand how much money it takes to operate a business. If you want the job done right them I would recommend calling these guys.
They go above and beyond to make sure you and your family are taken care of while working on your vehicle! The staff is very friendly also. You're in great hands with Star Garage!!
In this business 70% of road service's are going to rip you off. It was a pleasure dealing with Heather and her husband as they treated me fair and I would recommend that you call this business before going anywhere else.
I've known Joe since he owned Independent Field Service. I own a small 3 truck flatbed company. Joe and his staff have bent over backwards to help us keep our equipment serviced, inspected, and if necessary come solve issues on the road. He has... on several occasions... literally dropped everything to help us service our equipment or rescue downed equipment. Honestly, he is probably the last 12.7 Series 60 Detroit Mechanical Magician left in Jasper County. If you need a good shop, ESPECIALLY one with a experience on pre-emissiom engines and the diagnostic equipment. This is where I go, and where I tell my friends to go.
This company really sucks. The semi we were driving caught a ? 5. Something this morning and they charged our boss 3394.50 for towing the truck 13 miles and then said 100 a day for storage fees. Where can I find a lawyer for case.
A RIP OFF! Traveling on high and caught a flat with 2 infants. Star garage charged me 250 to take me Right down the road. Not from that area live 4 hours away and had no choice but to pay but will definitely be looking into this business
This guy's know how to make their money, , I had to fix a u joint in my truck, got there at 1pm, got out at 6, they only worked on my truck for maybe 2 hours, the rest of the time they spend it in getting parts and also , they stop working in my truck for 2 hour because they had an emergency, they had to go get another car. And guess what,, time did nothe stop. $800 bill at the end of the day.. AMAZING
I normally don't blast on FB but this need to be said. Our truck was broke down and we had to get towed. Because of our location we ended up with a mom n pop tower that worked on trucks (Star Garage in Hardeeville, SC). They lied and said that the people who arranged to get us towed only mentioned that it was one driver. So guess where I wrote.? They said it would be an extra $200 to have someone else get us. They dropped us on the side of the road. We had to ask a hotel Mgr if we could sit in lobby to call a taxi. The cab was $200 to go 36 miles. Star wanted to charge us $35 cause we couldn't get there by 5pm to pick up the truck. They said cause they gave us a ride to pick up lunch is why they wanted to charge. Then I called back to ask them to change our invoice to show they test drive the truck and she hung up on me. They also changed the fuel filters without our consent and charged us for that. We just changed the filters 2 days prior. Please to not take your truck to this shop. They will nickel and dime you; overcharge you for service.
