They are some of the nicest polite helpful people I've met in Charleston a long time they take their time to help you separate your material to give you the most. The office staff is friendly and willing to help as well as explane everything you have questio ns about. They also remember you the next time you come in.

I generally have nothing bad to say about you guys but the man on the small scale currently doesn't take his time and actually give you the money for what you bring. I brought in a transformer and he couldn't tell me what kind of metal it was made from .. I fully took it apart ,as I always do. It was at best 2 copper or dirty brass but he only paid aluminum. As well as I've brought in many green boards over 20 at one time (all from computers) he pays me brown board prices . I'm a female but I do know the majority of what I have. My entire family comes to you!!
Worst scrap yard in Charleston. Everytime I went there I got ripped off one way or another depending on what kind of attitude the employees had that day(family owned all about family). If I had one screw in my aluminum they count it as steel instead of just removing the one screw(45cent difference). They didn't pay me for $40 worth of copper one time because they said I stole there metal which was sitting outside the gate by the trash and when I was loading it up one of the employees watched me do it and didn't say anything to me until the next time I came and they accusede.of.steelimg it so I brought the metal back to them which they took and didn't pay me.for the $40 in copper they held back so they ripped me off. I way all my metal before I go.and I had 11600 pound load when I drove on the scale it shot up and pinged on 10,000 pounds exactly and didn't fluctuate any(they had there scale set so it would go over 10000 pounds so they ripped me off again. I always took clean aluminum mlc big clean pieces the same as the ones on there website they paid me for old sheet everything and there was no old sheet just mlc.i even said to them mlc and they free me and say.old sheet riped me off.again, we'll everything I went they ripped me off someway so one day they passed me off and I said I take.my metal somewhere else so I went to Don's Car Crushing great place my new scrap yard they do me better then good everything I go I get more then.i was expecting like my entire load of 1200 pounds was all clean aluminum no questions asked wrote a check for $600, I've never gotten over $250 at B&Ds. The employees at Don's are nice good attitudes and very helpful, they don't argue with people they treat people the way they want to be treated Great place scrap metal the way it's suppose to be

This is the best place in Charleston to sell scrap. Very helpful employees and easy to find. Just know they close from 11:30 to 12:30 for lunch. A little inconvenient but better to know than have to find out the hard way. (Like I did)

The most honest recycler I have been to. I preweigh before going. Just for my own knowledge and I have never had it come up short. Also< if you go during the week, you can get in and out really quick.
I was pleased with all aspects of service. High 5 to the guys helping unload my stuff. And a hug for Opal in the office. She's so kind & patient. Thank y'all.
Keep your scrap organized and these folks will make sure you get good money for it. Quick, efficient, friendly, and competent; what more could you ask for? The facility is fine, typical for a scrap yard, except I've never picked up a bad puncture in my tire. That's better than most places I've been to. I'll be back here next time for sure.
Hands down best yard I have been to. They keep it clean and have a good system in place. Billy and Mike in the back are super helpful, friendly, and keep things rolling. Just had a mix up with my weight this trip, and they got it sorted out quick instead of trying to gyp me like most other places I have been. They got my business for life.
Fair prices, helpful employees, and the best prices per pound in town! (Yes am am thrifty enough that I called every place in town both times I scrapped a vehicle!) Plus no matter what if you drive it there you get a Penny more per pound! I especially love the ladies who work in the office! The driver who picked up the 2nd vehicle was very helpful and gave plenty of contact before coming by.
It's all you need out of a scrap yard. Prices are good. The employees are nice and actually help, if not do all the unloading. It's a tight muddy lot, but that's pretty typical. As of right now, this is our go to place. It's usually pretty fast from arrival to getting paid too, which is a big plus!
I've been going to this scrap yard for a few years now and it is the best by far. Other yards look at me different because I am a woman doing this, but not the guys here. They are very helpful and respectful. I see a lot of complaints but to be honest they are doing their jobs. This is a busy yard most days but they are way nicer and more helpful than other yards.
Long story short, the person who took my daughter's information over the phone didn't take the information right and gave her the wrong part. She went back and the lady at the front told her she could not take it back. All she wanted to do was exchange the part for the correct one. But because the guy put 2002 and not 2000 she was unable to exchange it. Why have a 30 day warranty??? She did not ask for any money just to exchange for the right part. The lady at the desk told her that she said the wrong year....and you know this how...was you on the other end of the phone....I think she knows what kind of car she drives. But she took the other guys word over her's. She spoke with the guy twice and twice he got the year of the car wrong. The owner must be really proud to have no employees who makes mistakes. Sad because he won't even admit to making the mistake. I should say, my son was with my daughter when she ordered the part, they called several places that day. Out of $100 and no part. Very disappointed!
