I had 2 tires put on at this small, veteran-supportive auto shop. There was a mishap when I came to pick up my vehicle, and while I could have been upset, I was honestly more impressed with the way they handled it. The level of personal care, prompt attention, and first-class customer support was outstanding. Mistakes happen, but it’s how a business responds that really shows their values. I still highly recommend this shop!

I got a quote for replacing head gaskets in one week for $1600 just labor and the guy said I need to call them back next week because they have a lot of work and that they can work on it mid next week, I call them back when they told me to and they gave me a new quote for $2900 with parts and labor , when before it was supposed to be $2000. They’re liars also the lady that was on the phone the second time was laughing on the phone. Very rude.

Had my truck towed here. Told the lady who answered the phone all the issues it was having. When he finally called me to give me diagnosis , the things he was saying weren’t in alignment with the issues I was having. Yes I know I need a tune up and new tire and oil change but my issue has been with the fuel system. He apologizes and tells Me there were only 2 notes written down and with all the information I said they would have to re diagnose. I waited a day and called back, at first the lady said they didn’t know anything and when I said that wouldn’t work for me that I needed to know something she came back on and said they ordered a evap system for my truck and they were going to install it. Yet when he first called me told me it wasn’t the evap system. Now they have one and are going to install it, how much does that cost. Why had no one said anything to me. I had my mom call back as I was at work to find out what was going on, she was told they were going to replace a sensor .i was told so many different things it just seemed like no one knew what to do or what was wrong with it bc it was t throwing a specific code . I had already rented a car for 5 days and still no progress on my vehicle so I decided to have it towned somewhere else. When I called the lady said that I was all good and the truck would be ready for the tow. Yet when the tow truck gets there they won’t let him have it bc I hadn’t paid my 150$ dignostic fee. Which no one even told me I owed . Which is crazy considering no one could even tell me what was wrong with it. He said it was bc of a miscommunication between the lady who answered the phone, and he was so sorry. But still took my money. With no answers just more stress! I gave 2 stars bc even though the dealings with them were crappy, they were very polite on the phone

This placed scammed my mom out of 150$ told them not to touch the car and we were gonna pick it up with a tow truck and told us there wouldn’t be a charge but when the tow truck arrived they demanded 150$ for a diagnosis fee and we didn’t TELL THEM to do that at all or give the okay for them to do that..ended up holding the truck for the ransom they wanted getting things in order for a small claims court

This preparedness and communication from this shop was not satisfactory. If you service Mazda, you should have oil filters for the CX-5 in stock. So I was asked to come back later, when I did, there was a 1 hour wait before they could START working on my car. I specifically asked on the phone if there was a wait in the shop. I was told "no." No thank you, go somewhere that can give you an appointment and the shop is prepared with the needed materials.

When i had my mother in laws car up to get an alternator fixed under warranty , why did you try and add Labor cost . The contract you gave me says on the back. "If there is a defect in either materials or workmanship within the warranty period (Which this vehicle is ) the independent repair facility shall have the option to either perform remedial service work (AT NO CHARGE TO YOU ) , replace the defective warranted part(s) (WITHOUT CHARGE TO YOU ) , or refund to you the entire charge for the warranted repairs , minus any previous refunds or credits . So my question to you is why did you try to charge me for a Diagnostic fee when I told your man who checked the vehicle in the Altenator was indeed the problem .Again according to the contract the warranty covers all repairs to warranty items , not one time does it say that Mrs. Bowers has to pay for labor for the warranty repair. Even dealships that do massive warranty repairs do not charge customers to have warranty work performed , especially when the pay for a warranty on an item. I'm just hoping that everyone that reads this can see that the warranty just means the part according to the older gentleman behind the service writing desk. Forget about what the contract that she spent 1800 dollars on ..I went and bought a new Altenator and installed it myself .. So steer clear from here if you can , because spending money on warranty means ZERO .. I'm sure this is an isolated ,and the owner of the Super center can fix this .. Then and only then will I take this post down. I spent $214.00 on a new Altenator from Advanced auto with a $40 core charge. I'm not adding my labor because that's what a warranty should be . Thank you

Lies about service times. Don’t tell me you can take care of my car within the week and give me a specific date and time to bring it if it’ll take you until next week to even look at it because you accepted a million other people before I got there. Taking my business elsewhere, where they don’t jerk around potential customers and have rude front counter workers.

Awful customer service upfront, the guy(George maybe?) was just flat out rude, as well as dismissive. like if you hate your job that much just quit. Was quick to respond rudely and claimed he was "IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMETHING..." when another customer asked him a simple question about the service provided, as well as available services... Should really get it together, the work on the back end is quick and diligent but the man in the front office just gave me bad vibes, it didn't make sense to me why he would treat his clients so poorly, and expect them to return. I'm sorry sir, but you becoming frustrated bc of you inability to do the extremely simple tasks but even then, you just cant seem to manage is not a legitimate reason for the absolute lack of professionalism and friendliness

Have an 08 Escalade, wouldn't start, tried everything, was on verge of selling vehicle until I found Marks. I was done with my Escalade. Previously had backyard mechanic from Facebook tell me it was my bcm then told me they couldn't flash the new bcm to the truck. The shady mechanic left me stranded and truck still not working after $200 and two weeks later with truck stranded in my driveway. I must of called 50-60 mechanics and shops even Cadillac dealership, with no luck. Either no one had the tools to flash it, or never called back(dealership) ...until I found Marks !! Had it towed and within a day Marks flashed the truck with the new bcm, truck still didn't work (non thanks to that shady Facebook mechanic), but then MARKS did a DIAGNOSTIC on my truck CORRECTLY and FIXED IT SAME DAY! My truck needed a whole new fuse box. And man, that new fuse box look great!! MY TRUCK RUNS LIKE A CHAMP NOW!!! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT MARKS, YALL ARE HANDS DOWN THE BEST IN CHARLESTON!!! IF ITS NOT MARKS- DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!! DONT MAKE THE SAME FIRST MISTAKE LIKE I DID, DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME, AND TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO MARKS!! OUR FAMILY CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH TO EVERYONE AT MARKS FOR GETTING OUR FAMILY VEHICLE GOING AGAIN!!!!!!

They were timely, and honest! I really appreciated talking to a mechanic who did not water things down, but took time to explain only if they did not think I was understanding. There was no sugar coating, but good solid work. Customer service was pleasant, and always made you feel welcomed. I would recommend them to others. They diagnosed my transmission issue, and a different issue. Fixed one issue, and was honest about my transmission, and helped provide the information I needed to make the correct decision.

The people here are great Gary, Tito( sorry if spelled wrong man) but they are the best. They are responsible and respectful they are a little expensive BUT 100% worth every penny for the quality of work they do. They are the only mechanics I trust

From Elaina up front to Ron, Tino, and the mechanics in the shop Outstanding service. I bring my fleet of gas & diesel svc trucks and medium duty rigs here. They do a thorough job with general maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing any problems. Highly recommend.

Refused to work on my vehicle because it's old... their Google ad lies and there website does as well I believe they should comp. My tow to the second shop since my yoke broke after hours and I went on adds by Google ND napa ND marks I'm not at all happy or anything with this situation but he will FAFO....

Very kinda group of people. I almost hugged one of the mechanics when he was handing the keys to vehicle I was picking up. They just have this familiarness about them. Alaina is super sweet and super helpful. They reward loyal customers. They covered an expense for a small but majorly inconvenient repair I needed done to my POV. And my favorite thing about them is their recognition of the Word - Bible scriptures :). The folks at Marks are great!

Was told it would be 150 or less for an inspection of my car, end up charging me 157$. Gave an absolute ridiculous quote off 4400$, when I said I was good they deleted everything, so I got no information of what was wrong with my car other than what I told them. complete rip off. Alpha Transmission looked at my car for free and quoted me for 2000 all parts and labor. These people are rip offs, don't even waste your time going here, even dealerships rarely charge over 100 to look at your car and they actually do their job.

Amazing service!!! I had gone to a couple of other garage and find no real answer. My friend had told me about Mark's so I went. Their service was amazing, I dropped off my car and within a couple of hours they had told what was wrong and how much it was gonna be. By the next day I was able to pick up my car with no hassle and be on my way. The staff was so nice and able to answer all my questions. They made a customer for LIFE!!!

Don’t bring your car here, I can’t comment on the service because I never got any. I called ahead of time and was told to bring my car in on Monday, I arrived shortly after they opened and was told that they are not excepting anyone because they were too backed up, it would be days before they would even be able to look at my car. Don’t go here too. Many people are going here. They’re so backed up way too much business apparently.

I paid for a pre-purchase inspection performed for $150. Even though I paid for the inspection and therefor I am the customer, the mechanic apparently told the seller he was selling the vehicle for too little. After the inspection was complete the seller of the vehicle told me he wanted to increase the sale price because the Marks Super Service Center told him he was selling it for too low. Reminder the seller did not pay Marks Super Service Center for anything (the was just there to physically drive the vehicle in for inspection). I was the customer paying for the service. Because of Marks Super Service Center I had to offer more money to the seller to purchase the vehicle. Then the seller had a higher offer from another buyer. That new buyer called Marks Super Service Center and someone (Toni/Tito?) gave this total stranger my vehicle report results that I had paid for. Over the phone Marks Super Service Center (Kevin) admitted this was wrong. He promised to investigate and call me back. He never called me back. I called again and spoke to someone else at the front desk who agreed I would be refunded. A few days later the Marks Super Service Center left me a voicemail that they would not refund me and did not give an explanation. I do not recommend this company. If they agree to refund me the $150 I will remove this review.

I'm here visiting friends and my SUV starts overheating.... Mark's staff took care of my vehicle quickly and it didn't break my pockets. They were professional, courteous and HONEST.... So If you're looking for truly HONEST mechanics do what ever you have to do to get your vehicle to Mark's.... on River Avenue. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER

First off let me say that I searched around and decided to go here based on the reviews. My car was not acting like herself so I took her to Marks. I loved the fact that when I went in they offered a free flag. Thinking very patriotic. They also had a daily Bible verse on their whiteboard, which also just made me feel comfortable. I explain to them I didn’t know what was wrong with my vehicle and they offered to do diagnostic testing and upon completion they told me what was wrong and what it would cost to fix it and I agreed to have it fixed fast forward. I had some issues recently with my vehicle doing the same thing I had originally taken it in for, they drove it. They didn’t really notice what I was noticing and the other day my car was acting even worse so I called the service manager and he told me to bring it in and they looked at it. They repaired it, and it was no cost to me. They really went above and beyond to do right by me and that right there means so much. I will recommend them to all of my friends as well as continue to bring my vehicles to them to be serviced. I just want to say thank you so much for getting me and my kids back on the road. I just really want to say thank you for treating me like a person and maintaining really good customer service. It speaks volumes when a company will go out of their way to make sure that their customers or clients are taken care of and treated with the upmost respect. God bless y’all and have a great day.

UPDATE 7/29/2022 once again, I have to brag on the service of Marks Super Service Center. I am in the market for another car and I have brought a car I may be interested in. They moved swiftly to get the car up on the rack and gave me a detailed list of what's wrong. Makes buying a car so much safer. and they love my best friend JESUS † ************************************************** UPDATE 7/21/2022. It is hard to find honest auto mechanics this day and age but these guys are the bestest. Ask for Tino and he will guide you in the right direction EVERY TIME. † ******************************************** These guys are so good to their customers I would recommend them anytime to anyone.

They really care about getting you back on the road as soon as possible. Tino stays in communication and updates you on your status of the vehicle regularly. I also appreciate that it is a Christian oriented business. Prices of labor are reasonable and efforts are professional.

After receiving replacement parts from an out of town shop due to one of their original parts being faulty, I needed to have a tire sensor programmed and installed on my new tire. I went to 3 shops, including a Honda dealership and none had the tool needed for this brand of sensor. Mark's had the tool and was able to get my sensor programmed. They installed the sensor and cleared out the error message from the system. The cost was minimal. The staff seems knowledgeable, professional and friendly. It helps that they are a Christian owned company. I would recommend them for automotive services.

The best priced oil change I have found! Very friendly service. They leave the women a flower of appreciation in the car when they are finished!!! The waiting area has great books to read and free American flags and peppermints!!! I love supporting local and Christian organizations. You can eat at the Mexican taco truck next door while you wait.

The service manager, George, took the time to listen to my concerns. To hear the noise, you had to drive the car at least 45 mph. He did that. I like that he just didn't guess what was wrong. Within a few hours we received a call with the diagnosis and the costs. The labor costs were reasonable. We were greeted professionally and thru the entire process. I will definitely come back. I recommend to anyone. Thanks again. You guys rock.

Excellent! First time I used them 12/07/18. It is hard for me to trust people with my vehicles, some mechanics try to feed a bunch of non-sense and I don’t have the time. I am super impressed that that they not only found but also fixed a problem I have been dealing with for awhile because of trust issues with mechanics. They were honest, upfront with prices and actually called and informed me of progress (something many places fail to do and I have to call them to check on my vehicle) and they fixed my vehicle with a fair price. I hope I have found a local mechanic I can trust and take all my vehicles to. 5 Stars!

I've been here 3 times now for my car, and twice with my wife's car. I personally know nothing about cars, and the employees of Mark's don't take advantage of me. Of the 3 times getting work done, only once have they truly found something that needed to be fixed and brought it to my attention (and it was just getting an air filter changed, nothing expensive). Any big car brand place will nickel and dime you to death with other "needed" repairs they try to make you get. This last visit also was also very smooth, dropped off the car and had the oil changed all within 30 mins, just made sure to go before the lunch rush. Will continue to go here, you should too!

The service here has always been top notch. They treat you with courtesy and professionalism. If a job is going to take a while, they tell you up front. I feel the prices are reasonable and they have a reward plan for oil changes. They have a sweet custom of leaving a flower on the driver's seat when they finish the job. I wish it were a rose, not a carnation, but the thought is lovely.
