I have a few things to say about this shop. I went to 3 local shops. Amy at Corbin’s was the only person at all the shops that actually didn’t look annoyed because I had questions. She was knowledgeable and took the time to tell me I was wrong, explained why and gave me advice. They earned my business. Even had the pleasure to meet Steve and made him a few cookies
I purchased a full hookup from Corbins a while back. Then I had to replace the tow bar from another dealer after a front end end car accident elsewhere. There were residual problems so I brought it back to Corbins and they fixed the problems quickly without charge. This all speaks for itself. What a great place.

STEVE With Corbin's is the best! I called him at 9am on a Friday morning needing a 5th wheel hitch a d by 230pm he had it done. He went above and beyond to make sure it was done fast and right! If you dont ask for Steve you are missing out on the best service in the Lowcountry! Great team, fast work and fair prices!

Brought my trailer to Corbin’s shop via a tow because we had a breakdown. The team there diagnosed and fixed my problems immediately and had me on my way asap. Life Savers!! I had a hitch installed via Uhual and they were unable to do the wiring after chipping my light cover (eye roll). So of course, I find myself panicking because I need my hitch for traveling purposes in less than a week. After my dealership told me they could not do it, they recommended I call Corbins, and thank goodness for that; they were kind enough to squeeze me in same day! From the receptionist who answered the phone to Steve who was doing the actual work, everybody spoke kindly, respectfully and truly helped us understand what was going to on. 10 out 10 will recommend Corbins to all and they will always be the first person I call for any hitch needs!
They did a great job with my hitch install and showing me how to use my brake control. The Curt hitch looks much better than the U Haul ones I see on people's cars. Now I'm towing a camper behind my car with a high amperage charging cable.
Absolute first class service. I brought my truck and my boat trailer there for an electrical issue. I was having that I could not figure out myself. They were more than happy to help me even though they were busy. I will be going back to them if I have any other issues in the future.

Corbin's is awesome! Lynn and Elaine got us scheduled, meeting our in and out again full-timer lifestyle. Steve and Hunter installed a Roadmaster Nighthawk and Airforce One braking system on our Tiffin Motorhome and Chevy Blazer so that we can flat tow the Blazer as our dinghy. Excellent work and an excellent value. Highly recommend them and appreciate them.
Excellent and friendly work! They designed, fabricated and installed a beefy receiver with lighting pigtail for the rear of my toy hauler. They’re busy for good reason that speaks for itself.
I had a pleasant experience today (1/28/2025) at Corbin's Hitch Shop. This was my first experience with having a Trailer Hitch installed on a vehicle. When I spoke to them yesterday on the phone to confirm my appointment I was told that the job would take about Three (3) Hours. My appointment was at 1:00 P.M. and I arrived about 12:30 P.M. The staff was efficient and pleasant. The job was done professionally and surprisingly was finished by 2:00 P.M., half the time that I had been quoted. Also the Restroom was Clean and well stocked. Thank you for restoring my faith in Customer Service.
I recently visited Corbin's Hitch Shop and was incredibly impressed. The staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. After another Charleston, SC shop diagnosed my almost new Carry-On cargo trailer problem with no lights and blown fuses as a vehicle issue, they referred me to Corbin's Hitch Shop. The wonderful woman at Corbin's front desk connected me to a tech who said to bring my car and trailer in. The tech took just a couple minutes to verify that the vehicle wiring harness and controller were fine. He then checked the integrity of the trailer wiring and quickly discovered the tail light assembly was installed at the factory in a way the there was misalignment and pinched wires. He opened up the hole for the wires, eliminating the pinch point, applied a putty/sealer, and the problem was remedied. No more blown fuses! And then they only charged me .25 hour for labor. This company and their people are outstanding. Thank you Corbin's! I highly recommend them for any hitch/electrical/trailer work.
Not only Steve and Miss Lynn and Amy and he’s wonderful crew provides good service above and beyond with caring consideration to give you the best job done for your project. The quality of the work it’s top notch. This is not some Home Depot easy fix they took care of every single detail of your request and provide additional advice on what you need. It’s just a wonderful shop with a wonderful people doing amazing work!!! God bless them and they’re also reasonable to not trying to charge you onarm and a leg. Well deserve every star that exist on this website and the best shop in town hands-down!!!!
Wow! Exceeded my expectations! I purchased a brake controller from them and had it installed. The owner walked me thoroughly through how to use it until I was confident. I would highly recommend this place for all hitch and telling needs. Not to mention it was over 50% more affordable than camping world.
Superior service at the best price! Hats off to the entire staff! If only every business in the Holy City had Corbin’s standard for professionalism, customer service, and satisfaction! Friendly folks here that will get more business from me!
I've taken multiple vehicles to Corbin's over the years to have tow hitches put on - they always do a fantastic job, are reasonably priced, and perhaps as important as anything else...they're always so nice, so friendly, and so honest. I highly recommend them!
Dropped by to get help removing a B&w hitch that was seized. They were closed , but still came out and got the hitch free for me. And no charge! I have been using this business for over 30 years. Always great service. Deserve 10 stars. Highly recommend.
Their high ratings are extremely accurate of what kind of place this is! The owner, Steve, was extremely kind, and knowledgeable, from start to finish. He thoroughly explained everything to me, didn’t judge me for wanting to get a specific part installed with my regular car guy, and then helped me with a matter after the fact that he did not have to help me with. This is the way a company should be run! Thank you to front desk woman and owner for a pleasant experience all around. We will happily be back in the future and will recommend to everyone we know :)
Friendly and fast. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and everything. She made sure to warn that there's a 3.5% card fee (so grab cash or a check). The price was decent. It costed $600 in total to order hitch, wiring, labor, everything.
Once I went in to get it actually installed, it only took 45 minutes from the time I walked in to the time I walked out.
Steve has done a couple different jobs for me and I am so pleased with the work. He’s a creative guy and designed solutions that have worked perfectly. I highly recommend Corbin’s to anyone who wants a first class job. Great products. Great prices. Thank you!
Wow! From the first call this place was class act. The young lady on the phone was cordial and informative. When I arrived, they took my truck back on time and got it done in the scheduled time slot! The young man doing the install communicated with me very well and did exceptional work. Oh ya, everything was fairly priced. I wish this kind of service was more common. I say Corbins needs to open a super store with everything under one roof as I will be their best client....seriously, if you need anything towing related, just make 1 call, this is the best place in town!
I needed a spare tire carrier fabricated for my motorcycle trailer. Based on the on-line reviews, Corbin’s was the # 1 option and I was not disappointed. Excellent customer service from the moment I stepped in the door. Steve did a great job! He made exactly what I needed. I was very pleased and impressed with the quality of the product and service. 5 stars isn’t enough. Highly recommend!
We went today to get a trailer hitch installed in our new car. Not only were we early, but they got us right in and done early! The front end customer service was amazing! And they even switched out the towing ball for me twice when the store i was buying the trailer from had the wrong information online. Highly recommend! Worth all of the 5 star review!
Very friendly, very fast, very reasonable, high quality installation on my 2019 Subaru Forester. My install required the trimming of the heat shield around the muffler and was completed in minutes. Waiting area is clean and comfortable, bathrooms are clean and new, overall a much better than expected experience. Right across from Mixson neighborhood.
