came in from out of town needed to dispose of an electric forklift and battery. Called eight or 10 scrapyards most. We’re not sure what price I would get and the prices I got I was surprised by how low they are compared to what I usually get. Call Nicholas and was surprised by the confidence of the person on the phone and giving me prices which incidentally were far higher than all the other places I had called. Went over there and unloaded the items and paid promptly in a professional manner.
Great place to scrap all your metal. They gave me the best prices on my little bit of copper. Hell if they give me a decent price on this little bit today I'm coming back and they getting this last star on my reveiw. As a true customer to this place, don't listen to any of the bad comments they are butthurt probably because they think they deserve extra when they don't
Always a great experience... being a union plumber and knowing the business... they've never short changed me or made me feel like I didn't know what I had... staff is very helpful, just don't 4get to tip...
This place gave me .60 for clean extruded aluminum. There was a little glue residue on one surface. I think this is why he knocked a lb off because it was 143lbs. Regardless I'm happy with the transaction. 611 scrap metal 30min North tried to give me .35 a lb.
It was a nicely ran place and workers come off helpful. This place tried to play me. I normally dont even bother with reviews or saying how i feel but these guys!!!! Man they are nice and helpful to see how you respond and then decide if they are going to try to rip you off. Tried to give me number 2 copper for number 1, saying that it wasn't number 1, tried to give me the light iron for the Lead saying that it wasn't Lead thinking I didn't know what I was talking about. Then when I called them on it and they realized I knew what I was talking about they gave me the right prices . I watched them do it to two other people and one guy leaving heard him arguing with one worker. I would never go back to this place again. Everyone seems great but be careful.
I went there to sell aluminum. They said they paid 50 centa a lb is a lie ...they only paid 10 cents a lb. The attitude was very rude I ll never go there again...the worst place to go....they not a business person. The employe on the yard was very nice help me unload the merchandise.....they need to change the sale and byers person at the countertop
The owner Mr. Nicholas is a very nice guy, and all of his employees were very helpful and nice as this was the first time I was ever at this Scrap Yard. The Scrap Prices are truly top dollar I would know I drove up from Scranton and got around $350 more at Nicholas Scrap Yard then I would of gotten in Northeastern PA

Unless you have a lot of scrap metal, you are not going to get a lot of money. The price for metal, not so good. But if you need a battery, great price! Just remember to bring your old battery.
Honestly, 1 of the cleanest scrap yards I’ve been to in Philly. Good prices so far. Nice service. Especially the guy Darrel. Helped me sort my items to get more for my buck. Keep up the good work guys.
Would have given zero, very unprofessional staff except for 1 guy low prices, carts barley work and have big holes in them, staff dumped one of my carts over and walked away and left me and ppl around me to pick it up. Will NEVER go back!!!
They are the best scrap yard around when I'm down and out and need of money I get me a shopping cart and make a hundred dollars or more with this scrap place and their very helpful that's why I will always rate them 5 stars
Pretty neat place. But the price is really low. At least for aluminium siding. They pay 29 cents per pound!!! Its 35 everywhere else in philly and can go to 40 42 outside of philadelphia.
