This place is a total scam, brought a roll about 200 pounds of aluminum wire, the Asian lady hands me money and I ask for a receipt, that’s another thing, she will try to not give you a receipt unless you ask, but then I read and it says aluminum sheet, how is wire sheet??? Then she try to tell me she’s giving me more money than it’s worth, another time I bring her number 1 copper which for a fact I know I get number one prices every other place I’ve been too, she tells me that it’s oily and it’s number 2, what a total scam artist be aware!
Lady boss try’s to rio you off every time your here, only come here on weekends because they are open but just know she will always rip you off with weight and prices.
Worst spot in the whole Philadelphia. I hope you listen to me and don't go there. They are new owners and they are the cheapest people ever. I felt hurt and ripped off.
This facility is no longer Greendog Recycling. It is called Helping Hands which is a hilarious name compared to what they actually do. Maybe they should try slight of the hand or helping our hands. Basically what I'm saying is to pay close attention when you go there to scrap especially if the slender tall middle aged gentleman attends to you, he's crafty. Example: say your scrapping heavy iron a tub, radiators etc. You may get paid for light iron. And he's extremely rude. Must be a reason he doesn't update the company name on google
Of all the recycling places that I have been this is the best and most helpful yard that I've been on. The turnaround everytime I have went have been less than 15minutes that's what three or four cars in front of me waiting dump and cash out.The helpers on the yard or courteous and very helpful. They don't take rims with tires on and I thought I had to take it with me but one of the people on the yard bought the tire from. I myself also have brought things from those that are workers on the yard they pointed me in the right direction and gave me advice.
This site says they are open on Sundays?!? They are not!!! My husband went there on Saturday and they never gave him his i.d. card back. He had to take a half hour walk just to get there, going off this info and him needing his license, He went....and sure enough they were closed! An hour he will never get back. And far as business wise beings I'm reviewing anyway... one of the worst places to go in N.E. Philly! They used to be really good and fair in pricing. Idk if under new management or what but I don't see them lasting much longer.
They helped me out alot. They let me throw my copper on the scale even tho it was clising and i got there last minute. They gave me no problem. Very cool people. Deff will have my business for as long as they are ope
