Do not go here! i bought a defective part from this location. I could not return it because the cashiers there couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. I dont know what was wrong with it only that it was defective. Had i simply returned it and said nothing this wouldnt have been a problem. This meens any mechanics nearby who have had this issue are more likely to just return the product to avoid the headache. This meens defective parts will go back onto shelves over and over again until possibly you the customer buys it and cant return it!! crazy risk to take when it is some expensive 200 dollar part and you just have to take the loss. try some other place first if you can avoid going here.

Stopped in here today for a last minute part for my truck...the great guidance from the clerk led me not only to the part I needed but as well as the one I didnt realize I needed. This store has always been extremely helpful. Definitely a good place to have around..I appreciate you. Thank-you and God bless!

Hoffman helped me when my battery died near the store. He was willing to walk to my car a few times to check everything and get the new battery installed. Great guy and great worker!

Rarely do I ask for information or advice from employees at any advance auto location. More times than not I get a blank stare or an answer that’s not confident. On 20 JUL 2025, I asked a question and the gentleman named Meek was super helpful and knowledgeable. I appreciate these moments so here is 5 Stars. Meek keep on doin your thing, brother, you rock.

Speechless on how helpful Brandon was, went above and beyond voluntarily came out and replaced the part I purchased. Truly changing the world with kindness, motivated me personally to follow suit.

Great service. Tested and changed my battery. Had my old receipt on file and it was still under warranty.

Asked for a battery to be tested, gentleman with a beard and glasses throws his phone on the register and says just me not happening today.... just like that. Wouldn't recommend this store to anyone, absolutely horrible customer service!

I've been to the Royersford location of Advance Auto Parts several times, but I was exceptionally impressed with the service I received today. The system was down, such that only cash payments were accepted. There seemed to be a single staff member working the store, but he did a great job serving customers while managing the technology issues. I visited the store twice, the second time with cash and he saw to it that I was able to get the wiper blades I needed for my car. He had even graciously held these blades for me from my first visit. Kudos to the great service at this store despite the technology issues!

Keith was amazing. Very professional and he was able to get me up and running back on the road. I knew nothing about batteries and he gave a great recommendation and answered all my daughters questions that she had. Very patient and got me back up and running. Thanks again Keith

The store associate told me they don't take used oil or coolant for recycling. When I asked where I should go for recycling, they just shrugged their shoulders. Then I returned my purchase and went next door. AutoZone happily took the used oil and won my business. Looking at the other reviews, I'm pretty sure a bot is going to make comments to apologize but nothing will change. So disappointed ☹️

Tyler was great. I needed a new battery and he helped me. Then my negative terminal wouldn't tighten back on and he replaced the terminal adapter for me. Great service and staff!

I've been noticing that Advance Auto Parts in Salem seems to be going downhill, especially with the staff. It used to be a reliable spot for all my automotive needs, but lately, the service has really declined.The staff doesn't seem as knowledgeable or helpful as they once were, and it feels like the level of customer service has dropped. It’s disappointing because this used to be my go-to store for car parts and accessories. I hope they can turn things around, but for now, it's not the same place it used to be.

Stopped by store to get my battery tested and possibly buy a new one, if needed. This was around 3:30 PM, Folks at the sales counter tell me to please come back at 7 PM. Not sure why they turned me away. Not a lot of folks in the store.

Updated a few years later: still awesome. I went in this morning for oil. The place was clean, well lit, and the shelves are stocked. The customer service was on point. The guys are very friendly and kind. Always find what I need here. Once got a wrong part, they returned it with no hassle (it was unopened and bought an hour prior).

I came in this morning worried about my battery. Joe jumped right into action, tested my battery, and installed a new one. He was kind, professional, and helpful. Fantastic experience.

Stopped by on 10/12/23 Wanted to grab a battery but didn't have the funds at the moment Dave gave me some advice on how to keep me going until i had funds to swap batteries and helped out with the temporary fix. Great team and customer service

Asked if they could test my car battery no go as only one person working suggested to come next day at 7am open at 730am! I was told the same on second attempt. What a joke…why offer diagnostic service if they can’t provide it.

Hasn't had a functional check engine light scan tool for customers in 6 months. "Our scan tool is broken" since Jan 2023. It's an auto-part store. Unless this is an intentional choice, buy one on Amazon today. Respectfully, you're losing customers.

I needed 2 electric window assemblies for a 2012 jeep grand Cherokee.....they had them IN STOCK!! Sales people were very knowledgeable and helpful. I have used this store many times and have never been disappointed.

Excellent selection, knowledgeable, professional staff. Great oil change package deals. I highly recommend. They even sell battery cable by the roll or foot. 6 gauge down to 0 gauge.

Needed a new battery for my van. All the garages had a 2-3 hour wait. Went it to Advance Auto (I was skeptical) and bought the battery. The guy came out and was working on it and there was a hiccup with covers that needed to be put on. Both him and I assume the manager (guy wearing shorts) were able to get the issue solved. I was on my way in less than 15 minutes! They did an amazing job and in far less time than I would have had to sit at a garage! Definitely would recommend buying a battery from them as they do a free install.

Needed a new battery and they had what we needed in stock. The person who helped us was friendly and installed the battery in less than 10 minutes. Everything we could have wanted, easy, friendly, good service, at a good price.

I'd like to personally thabk Neil, what a great job tonight by him. He's a man of many words, and very helpful. He was quick to assume my truck didn't have ac, gave me the wrong belt and when I asked "this is for a truck with ac, right?" He was quick to say yes without double checking. Thanks again for leaving me high and dry. I'll update this review once I talk to the manager tomorrow to see what he says about this.

Very helpful counter staff. Gave advice when asked and seemed actually concerned about the cost of suggested items (was buying a K&N reusable filter and he wanted to be sure I knew not to throw it out like a paper one and waste the $20 price difference). Store was small but had a good representation of goods out. Exactly what a good local auto parts store should be.

Ordered a part online and picked it up at this location. I've purchased various parts and batteries here before and consistently get great service at very good prices. This particular part was defective. However, when I brought the part with the receipt back to get a refund, they refunded my money without issue. I have a consistently good experience shopping here.

Knowledgeable staff, however some of the employees are not very excited to help you let alone be there. I got a very abrupt "WE DON'T DO THAT," where an, "I'm sorry, I am not able to do that for you," would have sufficed. I sometimes get the feeling that if I am not a major car enthusiast, they don't want to talk to me. On the other hand, on a separate visit, the manager who helped me was very helpful and eager to assist me with my issue. I also asked him to install the new battery I purchased (which I know they are supposed to help with when asked) and there was no scoff, no sigh, just assistance. It was greatly appreciated! Three stars because of the associates that made me feel unwelcome as a budding DIYer.
