recently visited Pep Boys for a tire alignment service, and I am very satisfied with the experience. The staff was professional, polite, and explained everything clearly before starting the work. My car was pulling slightly to one side, but after the alignment service, it drives smooth and straight. The work was completed on time, and the waiting area was clean and comfortable. This location has a very hospitable staff , and their friendly and Louis is the epitome of professional service and helpful demeanor. Recommend their services. They are working on my Volkswagen now. The vehicle was seen promptly.

I made an appointment for 10:00 AM to have tires put on my car. When I arrived, the kid at the counter said my car would be taken back as soon as they finished fixing a spare. After waiting almost an hour, I asked for an update and was told it was “almost done.” After two hours, I asked again and was then told the work had not even been started yet. Nearly 3½ hours later, my car was finally completed, and I had to call off work because of the delay. The only positive thing I can say is that Angel was awesome. He came in after I had already been there about 2½ hours and had them start working on my car right away. Other than that, the experience was terrible. Most of the staff seemed annoyed that customers were even there. Another customer who arrived at 9:00 AM for tires didn’t leave until about 15 minutes before I did. I will never return to this location again.

Pep Boys saved the day! My serpentine belt blew at the light in front of this Pep Boys. I managed to limp my Yukon into their parking lot. I walked in without an appointment or call in advance, explained the problem, and they had it fixed and I was back on the road in an hour! Timothy, the mechanic who worked on my vehicle was knowledgeable, professional, personable, and quick to make the needed repairs.

Came in with an issue from a previous tire installation from the day before, Angel helped fix the issue in a timely manner. The issue was with two tires we purchased, but he rebalanced all four as a courtesy. Also needed to purchase a third tire in the end for safety reasons and got a discount on the tire as well. Angel made the trip back worth it. Was very happy with Angel customer service skills. Would make a good manager for this location

Went to pep boys ‘March 2025 had breaks and rotors all the way around. Took it first thing in the morning had an appointment. I got a call by noon said it would be a couple of hours. I didn’t get my car back til 4. The cost was nearly $ 900. My rear breaks started to make this grinding sound no warning no sensor to suggest there were any issues. One day the noise started. I contacted pep boys the. Then gave me a break down again for the work I just paid them for 7 months ago. they told me the warranty was not good that I had driven over 18000 miles which wasn’t true. I have had my car for 4 years and this was the first time I ever needed break work. So they are trying to tell me that I needed to have a second break repair in 7 months and that I wore down my breaks in seven months then I have in 4 years. Not to mention it’s the back breaks that are the issue at hand. They kept my car 8 hours with a scheduled appointment and now 7 months later are telling me I need a substantial amount of work and they aren’t responsible and I am required to pay for their labor and parts again. Looking for legs representation. If pep boys would like to make this right they know how to contact me

Pennsylvania roads are great. Tire shredded and had to be towed from Berwyn to Pottstown Pepboys. Dropped off Friday night. Finished Saturday morning. Kind. Helpful. Professional. Asked them to take the useless donut out which was no easy task to have room for a real spare tire. Great generous attitude to go the extra mile. My insurance company not so great. Waited 3.5 hours for the tow. If you're reading this do yourself a favor and buy a real tire. Had zero complaints with PepBoys. Merry Christmas!

Ordered a set of tires online and booked an appointment over the phone. On the day of the appointment, I brought the truck in to hear they didn't have the tires I ordered on-site and I had to wait for them to go get them (about an hr). Took nearly 2 hrs for the tech to put the tires on and another 1.5hrs for the alignment. Nearly 5 hrs for tire service is not acceptable

I recently had my car towed to Pep Boys after it had been sitting for a little over a year. I booked a 10 AM appointment for new tires, an oil change, and a full check to bring it back to life. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t the smoothest. Because my car wouldn’t start, I arrived around 11 AM, but even with the delay, there was almost no communication throughout the day. I had to call multiple times in the afternoon just to get updates, and every person I spoke with gave me a different answer about what was going on with my car. By the time I showed up—about an hour before closing—it still felt like no one had a clear idea of the status. The manager didn’t seem interested in helping or easing the frustration, especially considering my circumstances and the fact that I had important commitments and a long drive the next day. He eventually disappeared without answering my final questions, which felt very unprofessional and dismissive. However, I do want to highlight one bright spot: an employee named Angel. He was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure I was taken care of. He went out of his way to ensure my car got finished before closing and treated me with the respect and attention every customer deserves. Honestly, he handled the situation far better than management did. Employees like Angel are the reason customers would consider coming back, and I truly hope he gets the recognition, promotion, and raise he deserves. Overall, the experience was disappointing, but Angel’s service made a world of difference.

I gotta say I never thought Id end up to be there. But since we did, although the process was long because of the problem. This team went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of and comfortable while we waited they could have easily sent us away I appreciate the effort they made to fix the problem

Purchased tires and an alignment during their black Friday tire sale. Dropped off at 10 AM and the moment we walked in the door, it felt like we were inconveniencing them. They were obviously overbooked and understaffed. Of course we did not get a call back until almost 615pm that evening that our vehicle was ready to be picked up. Arrived at 6:45pm and waited at the counter for over 20 minutes before someone acknowledged me. Then proceeded to tell me that they didn’t have the alignment report because the printer ran out of ink, and the rushed us out the door because they were supposed to be closed at 7. Have had quite similar experience at the Collegeville location as well.

I scheduled an inspection and oil change before driving to Pittsburgh. They never did the oil change and I drove back from Pittsburgh with the oil light on. I spoke with the store and they acted as though there was no wrong doing on their part. I won’t be a customer again. I have to take time out of my day again to have someone else do this and hopefully my car is ok.

After receiving a notification that my car was finished with its inspection and parked out front, I waited another 40 minutes to be checked out. I then realized that my front left wheel was scrapped. My car has footage of the entire time spent at pep boys. Thought I would be in and out with no issues since my car is only a year old. Wrong. Go somewhere else.

Very polite and friendly service, extra services suggested for additional maintenance which were acted upon. Angel was very friendly at checkout at the end. Will continue to be a repeat customer.

Would absolutely give a zero stars to this store if possible. Booked an appointment to have my tires replaced a week in advance. Had an 8am appointment and droppedoffthecar that morning. I called the store at noon and was told the job was almost completed. At 5:45 I was given a call and asked if they could finish the job the next day because they were running short on time. Had to have my car for the next dy so drove to the store and had to wait another hour for them to put my old tires back on. This is so unprofessional and ridiculous the story must seem unreal.....it isn't. Do not trust pep boys with your car. Now I know better.

A man named angel at this location quoted me $82 for a service on my car. when I came in to pay, they tried to charge me $489 for the service. Then they said if we can’t pay it they have to put the old part back in the car. Ridiculous. Do not take your car here.

First-time visit at this location. Had battery replaced which caused an issue with the radio which I noticed only after leaving the store. Returned to the store and the service advisor fixed it. The Pep Boys brand has been around for decades; although it has changed corporate ownership, it had a good reputation.

Our experience at PepBoys in Pottstown, working with Louis was exceptionally easy. We needed an inspection an opted to do additional work to this old 2007 Toyota Highlander with 260,000 miles, and I couldn’t be happier with the straight forward communication from Louis and the mechanics. Great job on this very loved car!!! Thanks guys, Mannie, Moe, Jack and LOUIS!

They ruined my car and misdiagnosed it. I spent over 1,000 in repairs and my car is still not running right. The guy at front desk told me give him 50$ off the books to patch up a flat before. The manager at store is nice and so are a few other associates there. I believe some mechanics do not even do the work but charge you.

This review is designed to be critical of the online reservation system. I was able to schedule a service at 3 pm on a Saturday. I got a phone call right away telling me they were overbooked for the day and are unlikely to be able to perform the service on Saturday. This was not a problem as I needed the repair by Monday for work. Only to be then told on Sunday that there would be no chance of getting the repairs done. Very poor service and very upset by the attitude of the associates when I checked on my car. The website seems to be screwing them over and allowing customers to overbooked.

After experiencing poor customer service with my last visit, I chose to try again. Big mistake. The manager is the rudest person I have encountered in a very long time. He told me I couldn’t legally purchase windshield blades if I matched them up, who’s is fine. However I thought he was going to assist me, instead he asked if I had a phone and to google it. I’m never going back.

My AC stopped working and I was concerned it would turn into a costly repair. Angel was great to work with on getting an accurate price and finding out exactly what was needed. Timothy performed the evaluation and recharge. The work was done correctly and quickly.

I purchased my 4 new tires from TIRE RACK, and was able to immediately schedule an appointment with Pep Boys in Pottstown for installation for 3 days later. The very next afternoon, Pep Boys contacted me and informed me that the tires had arrived, and they could install the very next day - but I chose to wait for my early morning appointment. On the day, I was taken right on time. The service manager was friendly and professional. He checked me in, reviewed the work order , then invited me to sit in the waiting room - which was very clean and orderly. He said the job would take 45 minutes to an hour to complete. The work was done well, no complaints there. My only complaint was that it took just under 2 hours, start to finish. I think this was partly due to the complimentary vehicle inspection, where the tech found a few issues. He even checked the brake fluid condition. The issues he found were included with pictures on my check out paperwork, since I did not opt to have them corrected at that time. All in all, Pep Boys did a good job, and I would recommend them. I don't know what their repair rates are, but I can tell you that the mounting and balancing of the new tires was very competitive with other service stations. I have also been happy with a front wheel alignment done on my F150 last year- so I'm a repeat customer.

I was lucky to find the perfect man at the desk. Angel onate. He helped me to feel sure And satisfied of what I was buying. I got great tires. He was very informative. He knew everything as if you was reading my mind and knew what I needed. On top of it he put a little special effect and did a wonderful job to make my lettering purple on my new tires. They are gorgeous And I would have not gotten what I did anywhere else. Don't forget to ask for Angel, he rocks

I like to go to Pep Boys for tires and brakes services. The guys there are super nice and help the customers with a smile. Definitely, I recommend this place to anyone. Update: I don't know why they always ask the customers to call the shop first to confirm the appointment even if you schedule it online (sighs)

Pep Boys was able to get it fixed in no time and out the door thank you Tom for being speedy and FREE took care of us, even though it was getting close to you guys closing. TOM gave us excellent customer service.
