This is the week along with the weekend 01/18 thru 01/25/2026 where Philadelphia and the surrounding counties will be impacted by a serious snowstorm and bitter cold ? . The weather stations, along with social media are hyping the situation up and people are panic buying everything. I happened to find salt when all the big name stores are out completely.
I found a bag of rock ? salt ? for under $15.00.
The store owner and employee are pleasant people and friendly the gentleman carried the bag of salt to my car. I believe in supporting small businesses and this is not even my neighborhood.
Price gouging is basically stealing from your customers when you open a 50 pound bag of rock salt that cost $10 And use that to make 5 pound bags that you are selling For $9.99 shows what kind of person you are
Incredible local store. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind staff. The man at the counter helped me find exactly what I was looking for, and then some. ;) Lots of older USA-made stock; great when you have something like a light fixture from an older era that you want to carry NOS spare parts for.
I’ve been going here for years. Much better service than the big box stores. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. They are fantastic at fixing bent screen doors and replacing screens. I also own a classic car that requires lead additive. I asked them a few years ago if they’d start carrying it,and THEY DID! (And it’s half the price that auto stores charge!). I highly recommend Village Hardware!
I use this place all the time. I work in Warminster and whenever my job needs something I always go here first! Wonderful people who work there, they know what they’re talking about and extremely helpful! Definitely recommend this place!
Village Hardware is the best. They did a custom frame for my office next door and it turned out great. They're staff is so knowledgeable and helpful for any situation.

A great store from a bygone era where you get personalized service. I was looking for something to remove paint from a shirt. I told the clerk I wanted paint remover for a piece of clothing. He said paint remover may hurt the fabric. He recommended another product based on his experience with another customer. I was happy with the advice and I bought what he recommended and it worked. Thank you.

Lighting place to to find time to fix it. I called Village hardware...I took on Friday afternoon and they called at 4:30 the same day
And said it was ready. That's what you call excellent service.

Excellent service! I needed a specific bolt but unfortunately was unsure what size. Glenn was kind enough to not only explain what was needed, help me find it, but also took the time to grind the bolt down to ensure a good fit! Absolutely will be coming here again for all of my hardware needs.
Thank God neighborhood hardware stores still exist because big box stores would never do what Glenn (aka Geppeto) did.
He repaired my 2 - 30+ year old animated Christmas dolls that were from my Mother. They were both in bad shape from a storing accident. He brought them both back to life. Fully moveable, no more noise from the motor, they were back.
When I saw them, I cried. I drive up from Center City to come here, so lucky to find them as my sister lives close by. They have helped me in so many projects we did at Bonnie's house. They remain the epitiome of old time service. So grateful. Thank you Village!
Great store has literally a lil bit of everything. Very friendly staff and they sharpen chainsaw blades tools and repair all types of lamps and window screens. Definitely a must go store. Trust me!

Needed a bolt for snowblower after shearing one off from recent snow storm, they helped locate the proper size, had it in stock & they had snow shovels also in stock so I grabbed one. Always very helpful when I go in there.
As a new homeowner in the area, I've found myself roving the aisles at this hardware store more than a few times for all sorts of things. Good selection, knowledge staff, and prices within a few bucks of Lowe's or Home Depot on just about everything.
I needed some screws for a monitor that I couldn't find the size of for the life of me. I probably looked pretty funny stumbling in here with my monitor and asking for mystery screws, but the owner here was so very patient with me and helped me find exactly what I needed, going through each size and length until we found just the right screw. I'm so happy we have such a wonderful local hardware store! I'll definitely be coming here and sending my family in the future.
I stopped by here after searching and finding a nearby hardware store on google that was open. Imagine my surprise when the door was locked and there was a sign saying “be back in 5 minutes or less.” I waited...in the rain...for more than 5 minutes. Still waiting. It looks like a nice hardware store but this is unprofessional.
Great old tyme hardware store. Glad I discovered it. Rewired a lamp and the screen on my storm door was repaired. Great job. Gonna take another old lamp and a window screen to them.
Some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Honest and helpful! They had a look at my broken space heater and fixed it right up with a brand new (better than the original no less) power cord in just a couple hours! If you need a lamp re-wired or, like I did, want to salvage a space heater, bring it in and you won't be sorry! I will be heading back to give them more of my business!
Great and convenient place to stop. Friendly and helpful staff. Obviously they don't carry everything as a big box store, but generally can find what I need and the prices aren't too bad.
Went in there today for O-rings for a sink person working there was very knowledgeable and helpful. After helping me find what I was looking for I spent a good 15 minutes walking around there's just so much. I was astonished on how much inventory was actually in the store very impressed look forward to my next trip.
I needed a couple of odd sized o-rings to fix a utility sink faucet. The gentleman who helped me spent 10 - 15 minutes digging through their inventory to find the exact replacements. All for a 91 cent sale. Pretty awesome customer service! Certainly not what you would get at Lowes or HD. They are a bit out of my way, but I'm definitely planning to go there in the future.
I needed to do some minor repairs on a house that my son just purchased. As is my practice in California and previously when I lived in Pennsylvania, I searched for a Teu Value store first. Why, because I can expect knowledge, experience and good advice. And that is what I got. I always advise fiends to do the same. If you need advice, skip the box stores. If you want to get a good price, you will also find stores like True Value to be more than competitive. In short, I stopped by, got great advice, custom cut product (screening) a few tools, had some humorous conversation and left satisfied. I was even more satisfied when the job went well. Thanks.
