Went for a car inspection and they added things on I didn’t need for inspection. If you don’t have car knowledge do not go by yourself, they will nitpick and overcharge you. HORRIBLE STAY FAR AWAY.
Genuinely would give more stars if I could. I’ve been coming here for the past 2 years and everytime I come they are extremely professional and do amazing work. You cannot beat their prices either.
can’t give this place enough stars,took my car somewhere else first they told me i needed a 1000 dollar alternator took it to this place and he told me it was just the battery not the alternator,there are still some honest mechanics
Just moved into Hatboro, needed an oil change. I was done in 15 minutes, I couldn't believe how fast they are and sooo nice. Definitely will be going to Heilmans for all my car needs.
I have been a customer at Heilman’s over a dozen times and have had a 5 start experience each and every time. I have never felt taken advantage of which is huge to me. Any time that there were repairs of substance needed, I was told which ones I could put off for a while or which ones were more urgent. And more importantly there were a large number of visits where I went for an oil change and that’s what I got. I didn’t get the treatment other places have offered where I go in for a simple oil change and end up hearing the car is falling apart and needs thousands in work. They are a quality service center with phenomenal customer service. Love these guys
Had them mount and balance, new wheels and tires scuffed one of the rims and wheel weights fell off the day after they remounted and balanced, but weren’t willing to do anything about the damaged rim
Took my pontiac bonneville here cause it was acting up, asked them to look at it and they said it would be 140$ just to look at it no work done or anything. While I was there I asked how much to put a starter in my Ford f150, they told me 500$. Well I ended up getting the starter for 125$ and put it in myself outfront in the dark with barely any tools and it took me 1.5hrs. If I had a lift and a shop I could have had this job done in 30min. So 375$ in labor is crazy. Highway robbery these mechanics.
I always have the BEST experience at Heilman's in Hatboro. I went once to have my tire plugged and they fixed it so quick and have had no issues since. This time around I needed a whole new tire...they were able to get me a tire and place it on the rim within the day. When my boyfriend went to pick the tire up they even offered to put it on for him.
Cannot recommend Heilman's more and will continue to use them in the future.
The guys at Heilman are great! I got a large screw in my tire this morning going through town that was leaking air. I pulled in and asked if they plug tires, and they said we do, one moment and we will be with you. They pulled my car into the bay and plugged it within 5 minutes. I was on my way to work in literally 10 minutes, and not late for work. The charge to fix it was very reasonable too. Thanks for the excellent service!
This team takes care of my cars and makes sure everything is working well. Their prices are reasonable, and the workmanship is top notch. I feel comfortable bringing my care to them, knowing that they will address issues and keep the cars safe without throwing in any unnecessary items.

My first time going there. Had a very good experience. Everyone was nice and I was very pleased how fast the work was done. Needed back brakes. I will Heilman to all my friends.
They are awesome . I'm very picky w/ my Caddie and all take special care ..Chris does most of the work although the others have never let me down. I would highly recommend.
Been taking my cars here for several years now. Honest work. 3 people in life you need. A good mechanic, a good plumber, and a good doctor. These guys are my good mechanic!
They stripped the bolt and instead of replacing it they put a rubber plug in it. Never again will I bring my car here. Only going to Fat kids from now on since they actually have my best interest at heart and care that I'm driving a safe vehicle with my 2 year old daughter. My car also had no coolant in it and over heated two weeks after taking it for in inspection. So instead of putting a new roater on my car they could have fixed the actual problem. Awful experiences.
I've been thinking my Honda CRV there for years their nice they don't tell me nothing that I don't need done. They're very respectful and have a very clean waiting area. Hands down the best
My relative took her car there over the course of the life of her car. I have only seen the the car and the bills. RIP OFF. Prices are way too high. Official dealership would charge less and would install original OEM parts instead of Chinees aftermarket.
Due to their convenient location (I work nearby in Hatboro), I've been taking my vehicles to Heilman's for inspections and some work for the past few years and have never been let down. However, I just had an experience that puts them over the top. I took my 2017 Volvo XC 60 to Fort Washington Volvo for an oil change and was told that it needed new front brake pads and rotors. Volvo's service person estimated the job at $1,600 and laid the hard sell on real thick when I said "no" to the surprisingly high price ("my technician's not even willing to test drive it now because it's not safe," etc.). Leaving Volvo after the oil was done and decently concerned after the grim brake diagnosis, I called Heilman's to see what they could do. Not only did they have room for me to drive in immediately, but they did the same brake replacement job that day for $700. After they were done and right before I left, I remembered that I had purchased an engine air filter that required undoing some torx screws to replace (a 1-2 minute job, but impossible if you don't have a torx screwdriver). Volvo wanted to charge approx. $50 in labor to do that 1-2 minute job. Heilman's did it for zero as a kindness. Based on this and every other experience I've had, I can confidently say that these guys rock, and I recommend them to anyone looking for competent, honest, and reasonably priced service.
I have been taking my car s here for many years, always great service and great value. Recently a friend of mine was told they need repairs on their car and I told them to go for a second opinion to heilman's, some repairs were needed some were not but they were very happy with the service and value also and have switched over to heilman'
I have taken my car here for years and have always had great service! The mechanics and staff have always had my best interest in mind. Recently they helped me make the difficult decision of it being time for a new car. I knew the car needed some work. They gave me a list of what the car needed and a full estimate of what it would cost. I appreciate their honesty which made it clear it was time to move into a new vehicle. I have been other places where they will give you part of the work that is needed and then get into the job and keep adding to it. At this point you already have too much skin in the game and have to continue fixing. They told me they would be happy to do the work but knew it was time to consider doing the work or looking into new cars. I appreciate their help with this. The mechanics have always been great and it is nice to know a place you can take your car to and rely on!
I went there to get my car inspected, they said it failed emissions and state. My check engine light has never been on but they said it popped on when running the test. My car is 2015 and in great condition. They also failed my brakes. They wanted 1000 dollars for a new battery and front and rear brakes. I then took it to another mechanic, out of suspicion, and he said everything was passing. I have pictures to prove they were lying. They were trying to take advantage of me. I’m currently in the process of talking to the state about the whole sketchy operation. I went back for a refund and they put up nooo fight because they knew they were guilty. 0/10 recommend this place to anyone, they will 100% scam you for your money.
I recently decided to give Heilman’s a try after a poor experience at my last mechanic. I had back to back great experiences. I received a car inspection on my 08 A4 Audi with hard sell on service or working being done. I also had my 16 Honda Accord serviced for much less than the dealers prices and when I had an emergency they quickly finished the work so I could get on the road. I appreciate their straightforward business with great prices.
Went in for oil change and inspection...came out with a radiator and new battery..thats fine and ok if thats what needed but the day after i have low coolant and oil leaking. Never had any leakage before and drive under 2.5k a year. Went in the next to have them top off the fluids and they told me to keep an ‘eye’ on it. I paid almost 1k...frustrated to do so. To be updated...calling them tomorrow to have them look at it.
Update: said it was a faulty part. Good customer service helped a frustrating situation. Took me in right away, hoping they fixed the issue. Was compensated for my time by Jim
Every car we've owned it the past five years, since we moved back from Floriduhhh, I've brought to these guys. They do great work, and stand behind it, including fast checks and diagnostics (time permitting), and they will explain everything to you.
These mechanics know the difference between things you need immediately and things you'll need down the road. Great place for a quick and reasonable oil change too.
