Honest and affordable mechanics aren't easy to find. I had a pa inspection, diagnostic scan and changed a bad bulb for 40 bucks. Prompt service and response. C&H will be my go to mechanic from now on.

It is hard to find a honest mechanic let alone a fairly priced one. Have been using for many years, wouldn't go to anyone else!!
Despite having great reviews, C&H was outright dishonest with me. Took them a set of brake rotors for resurfacing (after a lengthy search for a shop who still operates a brake lathe). Brake rotors and drums have become rather inexpensive to manufacture, so many shops have retired their lathes due to labor and equipment costs being greater than that of a replacement part. Some rotors are more expensive, and if possible, resurfacing or “turning” them is a more viable option.
Received a call that the rotors were done, and had my dad pick them up because he was able to get to C&H during business hours. He paid no mind and brought them home. Fast forward a few days later when I was able to get them and I was surprised to see the rotors in the condition of the first and second images. I’ll spare you the details, but this finish was from basically knocking the surface rust off with a drill powered hand tool and calling it a day. The correct finish seen in the third photo is a precision skimming of metal that allows smooth, quiet braking with no pedal pulse and no excessive wear on pads. I’m a career auto technician with a focus on performance vehicles. If I had the equipment to do the job myself, I would have. I regularly assemble engines and do my share of machine work within the confines of what machinery is available to me. I immediately reached out and left a voicemail, expecting a response on Monday. I promptly received a call back, however they claimed the rotors were placed on a lathe and (precisely) machined flat and free of corrosion. Claiming “three passes on a Ranger brake lathe”
No.
After asking them to “re-do” the job they never did in the first place, they were agreeable. When my dad dropped them off to be properly machined, the technician (likely owner) continued defending the original job saying those are clean up marks from after machining. Incorrect. Said they would be done in two hours.
Nine hours later, after the closing hours of the business my dad gets the call they’re done.
Who did you have to take them to, C&H? They did a pretty good job.
Amazing. Took my Kia in to get serviced. Runs like new! Also advised me of additional work that needed to be done but was realistic and didn’t pressure me into anything. Prices extremely fair as well.
Just had my Saturn there for what I thought was a shot ac compressor. I’ve been looking for an honest and reasonable shop in my area to patronize, I believe I just found it! The owner could have told me anything, but it was a quick fix of a corroded connection at a super reasonable price!!!

Very fair and honest. I had hoped my car needed minor repairs and he informed me that the repairs needed and those coming down the road would be more than it is worth. Charged me a fair, low price for his evaluation.
This place is amazing and the only place I now trust with my vehicles. I have taken my 2011 traverse, 2015 volt, 2011 e350 passenger van, and 2018 class A RV. This place is great with fast service and great prices. I have used them for inspections, engine misfires, tuning, brake line repair, brakes, and other things. Really easy to deal with and very nice customer service. Once you use them you will understand why they are rated so high. I found them by the other reviews and haven't used anyone else since. I recommended them to my friend and he took their Chevy express van to them and they fixed it great.
No sale pressure to buy or repair things that don't need repairing honest and straight up if you want a good mechanic that's not going to make you buy a million things and service things that you don't need this is the place to go and always bring a dog treat for the little guy
C & H is the only mechanic I trust to keep my dodge durangos in great shape.

Having a vehicle that needs repair is a stressful experience but when you have a mechanic that you trust it makes it not as stressful!!

C&H service were very quick to attend to our vehicle the day of the appointment and did a great job. They did point out a couple things that were alittle off with the car and are helping with them. This was our first time going to them but my wife feels very comfortable after this first appointment with her car.
I have been using C&H Service since I relocated to the area and always receive quality service at a fair price. Tom and his team always do a great job and get you back on the road quickly. I highly recommend C&H Service!
C&H Auto Repair went above and beyond on a really big job for me. I had to replace my motor. I haven't lived in the area long and didn't know who to call so I called a few places for quotes, and they all gave me only one option, except for Tom at C&H. Hecalled me back with all the different motor mileage options and a few different warranty options to select from. He gave me choices that helped me do what needed to be done and not spend as much as I thought I would have to. (He also was a few hundred less than the others on the one option they had all given me.) He did his homework and helped me make the best decision I could in a difficult and expensive situation. I work in marketing and know how impossible it is to get rid of a bad google so before making the decision, I logged onto google and checked his reviews. His reviews were stellar so I felt confident trusting him with the job. Boy did I make the right decision. He did a fantastic job. I waited a while before writing my review to make sure nothing was going to go wrong. I am 5,000 miles past the replacement and my car runs like it is brand new. My gas mileage is back where it should be. I have had absolutely no issues at all since Tom did the work. I was updated throughout the process, my car came back to me clean, and this huge job was done well in far less time than I anticipated. A good mechanic you can trust is hard to come by, but I have found mine at C&H Auto and won't be taking my car anywhere else.
By far the dirtiest, nastiest place I've ever been in! If you like the smell of animal urine and don't mind having to take a shower afterwards, then this place would be OK for you. I seriously can't come up with enough adjectives to describe it. Gross, disgusting, despicable, nasty- all describe this place! And this is just the office! If I had to guess as to when the last time this office was cleaned, I'd have to say 2006! I AM NOT KIDDING AT ALL. And the bathroom? OH MY GOD! Imagine your worst gas station bathroom in the history of awful gas station bathrooms and multiply that by 8! It's absolutely gross! I can't with good conscience recommend this place to anyone. While the people there may be nice, but if they don't even clean their place, what would make anyone think they'd go an extra mile for you or your car?!?! Just EW!
Hospitality is there #1 concern.. so helpful with everything.. labor charges are at minimum and if you live close to their business and need a ride home he volunteered to take u home while vehicle is being done... I would recommend anyone to this establishment.. thanks for everything.
Tom, the owner of C & H, has been servicing my 3 vehicles for as long as I've lived in the Poconos (many years). I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee with 210,000 miles that looks like new (my job) and runs like new (Tom's job), a 2007 Mini Cooper that also runs like new, that, again, is Tom's responsibility to keep running the way a Cooper "S" should.... and a 2003 BMW that purrs (again, I have it serviced at C & H). Great not having to drive 40 minutes to Allentown BMW to have the Cooper and BMW serviced. Because of Tom's mechanical expertise, quality work, and attention to detail, I can get all my work done locally at a cost that's at least one-half that of a dealership. I'll never have my vehicles serviced anywhere else.....
