My son was traveling from Maryland to Canada when the driveshaft on his 2000 Camero broke and he was towed to Kost It was late on a Saturday so they had to leave the car and found another way to get there. Kost called him on Monday when they opened and let him know what they found and as it turns out 25 year old driveshafts are not easy to find but they did and they replaced it at a very fair price and we were very impressed with the manager and the technician that worked on the car If you live in the Williamsport area and need car repair or maintenance call Kost and they will take good care of you Silvia Hoke

They are deceitful, claiming to have no previous knowledge of care given by them. I have receipts. Don't recommend this store in Williamsport

Saturday while driving my car heading for a day trip. Noticed my car making a rubbing noise on front left tire. My sister recommended Kost. Drove right there and explained the problem. Went for short ride so they could hear the noise. They took it right in and found the nuts bolts were coming loose by my tires. It didn’t take long and they didn’t charge me anything. Everyone so nice. The guy that fixed my car was awesome 🙂🙂🙂

Back in july I had a tire losing air rapidly. I scheduled an appointment with Scott for saturday. Not only did they get me in a day early they patched my tire up for no charge whatsoever. Got it back the same day. Will be coming back here when I need new tires. Thanks again Scott and Krystal!

We found out on Saturday morning that we had driven over a nail and couldn’t safely take the highway to get back home. KOST took care of it right away—fixed the tire in just 30 minutes, and they did it for FREE. Super professional, friendly, and kind. Really appreciated their help when we needed the most.

Was there to get an inspection done. When I made the appointment I told the person on the phone that we were going to wait while it was being inspected. They didn’t put that in their system. So we waited an hour and a half for them to not inspect our car due to a factory hole in the rear bumper that was starting to rust and still charged us for the inspection but not the sticker. Since the had a coupon for 50% off we weren’t charged the full amount. They were just looking for something to be wrong to make more money. They put coupons in the Webb weekly to get people in there and then find stuff that isn’t really wrong with your car to convince you that you need it fixed. This place is a scam. We left there and went somewhere else to get the car inspected. My car passed with flying colors. Will never go back.

Scott Shaffer went above and beyond on helping me find the right tires for me. I had a problem going on with my card and he was about done for the day and stayed a few minutes over to make sure i had the issue rectified. The technicians were friendly and helpful as well!

Took my vehicle to get tires put on. I have taken my vehicles here before and had a problem. I should have known better how ever it's absolutely convience that I go there because it's close to work. They always check the alignment and if it doesn't need one they don't charge you. However this time they didn't even tell me I needed it until I saw it on the charge when I went to pay. They did not give me a print out of the alignment and my old tires were not wore funny and my car did not pull. Well after I left my vehicle now pulls to the right so I took it back and they said they drove it and had no issues. So when I went to pick it up they did a test drive with me however they would not let me drive my own vehicle and when they drove they got on the highway and wouldn't even get up to speed. The fastest they went was 46 mph. Which no matter what it pulled they told me it was the slant of the road but when taking a right hand turn his hands were off the wheel and my car turned all by itself. I am thoroughly over Williamsports store and their lack of knowledge.

"An emergency on my part, does not constitute an emergency on your part! " I try to live by that motto to the best of my ability. Scott really came through in a pinch when I needed my brakes looked at last minute before a 3.5 hour drive( my bad)...not only did they fit it in last minute....they quicky fixed a dangerous situation. CANNOT express how much i appreciated the excellent service and kindness! Thank you again!!

I have to say I very rarely write reviews for any business however, this one needed to be written. I will try to keep my story short as there is a lot involved. These guys are snakes. I took my vehicle there to get an alignment done. I dropped my vehicle off and a few hours later went back to pick it up because they said the alignment was finished and I paid my $120 And got my vehicle back. My vehicle was parked in the exact same spot, the exact same way that I parked it when I dropped it off. I got in my vehicle and within 2 miles of being on the highway. My vehicle pulled to the left just as hard as it did when I dropped it off. I called in and told them and they said they would look at it and take care of the issue knowing I live two hours away from this location. I went home and a couple weeks later I had my vehicle aligned again at a local shop and they showed me exactly how and where my alignment was bad. They told me that there is no possible way that I could’ve had an alignment done within that timeframe. I have went back-and-forth multiple times with the regional manager who swears up and down they would take care of this situation. He has done nothing but argue with me and try to explain how I am wrong. I didn’t think a company would be that hell-bent on $120. I don’t think it’s fair for you to charge people for a service you didn’t provide. Don’t trust these guys at all.

James, Hugh, and JD were a pleasure to talk to and work with. An amazing group of guys. I simply went for a slow tire leak and I mentioned about the noises coming from "suspension" and a road trip I was about to make. They got me in the next morning checked me out and fixed everything and got me on the road when I wanted to be. If I could give higher stars I would. This is now my forever garage!

We dropped off our family vehicle for O2 sensor replacement and a brake fluid flush. Due to family scheduling, we had to pick up the vehicle after hours on a Saturday. My husband picked it up and began heading back home. Shortly after leaving, he went to hit the brakes and they went straight to the floor. Fortunately, he knew how to handle it and was able to stop the vehicle before hitting another vehicle. After doing some research, it was clear that there was air in the brake lines causing them to be wildly inconsistent and dangerously unsafe. My husband then had to drive an unsafe vehicle back to the shop and leave it for another day leaving us down a vehicle for the weekend. The gross negligence and failure to test the brake system has left us infuriated. After finally speaking to someone, they treated the issue nonchalantly and attempted to tell my husband that the brakes “felt good” when he pulled it out, confirming that they did not test drive the vehicle. Once my husband picked up the vehicle, they continued to treat the issue nonchalantly. They offered a free oil change for our trouble. This is the only and subsequently the last time we will take any vehicle to Kost and will ensure to tell anyone who is considering going there, to take their business elsewhere as they obviously do not take safety as a priority.

My mother went to get her tire patched after she had run over some debris. Kost told her she’d need 4 new tires. She called me and I said try Steve Shannon in South Williamsport. SS told her her tires are in good shape still and that she didn’t need them for a while yet.

Bought tires for my Equinox here, and had a good experience. Brought the vehicle in Friday 7/26 for oil change and rotation, as the newspaper coupon said 50% off oil change. When checking out, discovered that I misread the ad, and discount was only $20 instead of 50%. My bad, but looking at the ad again it is misleading. Gave the checkout guy a hard time, and he did a good job handling the situation. Told him I get coupons from GM dealers that allow me to get oil change and rotation (6 qts, BTW) for $70. I really thought that coming to Kost with a coupon and having bought tires here that I could do better than a dealer. Turns out I was wrong. The ad should include the 50% offer in equal size as the $20 off offer for full synthetic oil.

I had a flat tire in Williamsport at 5:30 and they were closed! Tim at Kost tire center opened the door and helped me after hours! God bless there are still people out there that care. I am truly grateful to Tim and kost tire to help a person in need after hours.

Scott and Tim at Kost in Williamsport continue to take care of all of our vehicle needs. They earned our business years ago. Always friendly, knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond when needed. I appreciate knowing that I can trust them with our vehicles and that we will have safe travels!

I needed an inspection, so I called and made an appointment. Scott and Tim were both very friendly and helpful when I talked to them on the phone. However, things went wrong when I actually got to my appointment. I was told they could not get my hood open to complete the inspection, due to an employee pulling my hood release lever entirely off the car. They said this would have happened no matter who pulled the lever, but I have opened my hood several times recently without any issues. I was also told that my horn didn’t work, it does. I checked immediately when I left. I came here off of a recommendation, but I will not be returning. They did not make me pay for the inspection since they could not complete it, that was the only win. It still costs me money because I missed work just to have my car damaged.

I've been going there for over 10 years and there's no one else I would trust. Friendly, courteous, willing to work with you no matter the situation. I respect their diagnosis and have always been happy with their work.

Thank you to Tim and the staff at Kost for a wonderful experience. Tim completed an overdue inspection for my mom's car immediately. He then went the extra mile and drove the car to her apartment when it was completed. Tim, we cannot thank you enough for your service and care. We will be back! You are awesome!

I hate to leave a review like this. I've been searching for a reliable, trustworthy, place to take my car locally. This isn't it and I would advise everybody to stay away. Here are two reasons: 1. I took my car in to have the AC fixed. Long story short: It was never hooked up so they re-installed it, fluids etc. But there was a mention of a possible "leak", which confused me. I took it to another garage who informed me that they used the wrong part (a bolt/screw?) and it was causing the fluid to leak. Instead of getting me in RIGHT AWAY to fix their mistake I was put off for nearly another week. I have a strong feeling that if I followed up with them, they would have convinced me the leak wasn't their fault and charged me for the re-repair. 2. Their estimates are always crazy high. I'm talking a 3,000$ repair vs. 150$ from another garage for an exhaust issue. Recently - $1,800 for a cad repair vs. $800 at my other garage. I never followed up with them because I always get the run around. So I'll take my $200 loss on the AC and go elsewhere. I'd advise you do the same.

I used to get great service from Kost, but in the last few years I've been unimpressed. Made an appointment to have winter tires swapped on, and had the car there the night before. Arrived after work and it's still not done. Not the kind of service you would expect especially because I made an appointment on a day that they suggested and had the car there already. Don't waste your time.

They carry special deals all the time. Keep checking online and feel free to call in to check. And if you buy tires from them they give you discounts on car service in the future, like oil change and such. They are located all over central PA and upstate NY so if you have an issue while traveling they can help you out. They also give you diagnosis of what service is recommended based on the mileage and age of the vehicle.

Great experience! Great prices!under unfortunate circumstances was lucky to end up at this location, my car stalled on the freeway and had alternator problems and Kost really was exceptional !! But most importantly the customer service was amazing! From the gentleman who helped me on the phone to the gentlemen who worked on my vehicle and showed me every step that he was doing in order to fix my car! I’m not from the area but I will literally come out of my way just to have them work on my vehicle! Highly recommend!

Was disappointed. I asked to have my car done by 1 and told that was fine. When I arrived the car had not even been looked at so I had to take it without the service being attempted. I stopped back a week later to schedule another appointment and they could not help me. I was told they had no openings for a week and I don't know my work schedule any further out than that. I bought my tires there and wanted the free rotation and am having an issue with one tire losing pressure. I guess it's time to shop elsewhere

I have to say this Kost is one of the best there is. I had a flat tire in June and Sam's Club where I bought the tires said it would be 5 to 6 hours before they can get it in. I stopped at this Kost and they took care of me at no cost! Great job Kost, its service men and managers! Thank you

Went in with a flat tire and asked for air. They told me the tire wouldn't hold air and couldn't be repaired because the side wall had a crack (2 yr old tires) so I needed a new tire. Told them since the car is older and I don't drive that much anyway, I want the cheapest tire they have and they said only 1 size fits it and installed was $128. I remarked that I had no idea tires had gotten so expensive and the guy told me $128 for 1 tire was cheap. A couple of days later I mentioned the experience to a friend who went on their website and was quoted $57.95 installed for 1 tire for my car. Since I am a disabled senior woman who was alone and had a flat tire so I was obviously in a bind--and made the mistake of the remark I made so they knew I was not informed, they most definitely took advantage. Had I been thinking I would have told them to put the spare on for me and I would find a less expensive tire somewhere else. Chances are they would have miraculously found the $57.95 then!) Although now it makes me wonder if all I needed was air in the first place! They never offered to show me the damage on my old tire and I didn't think to ask to see it. Will never, ever darken the door of a Kost store again and will relay my story to anybody who will listen to discourage others from being scammed!

Excellent customer service. Affordable pricing. I had a flat tire, put the spare on myself and was only about ten minutes from the shop. From the time I called to get an appointment to the time I was driving away with my patched tire put on, was less than an hour. No complaints.
