Not sure how anyone can feel cheated out of money coming here. The prices are all higher than Brenners, and the employees help seperate the material to teach you how to get the most bang for your buck. The yard has plenty of room for customers and they keep it clean, and everyone there is very pleasant. No need to look for another yard. This is the place to scrap.
Absolutely horrible. First time there I wasn’t sure where to go so I asked one of the workers operating the scale. Instead of telling me turn the car around and go they thru the driveway, he told me to go around the back of the building. I did that and it had garbage everywhere. Needless to say I got a flat. When I went back to ask the guy he rudely told me what do I expect it’s a scrap yard. I expect you to direct your customers to the driveable road and not thru the actual yard. If it would help to maybe put up a sign. Horrible experience… never again. Stay away

Absolute great first experience! It was my first time there, and Tommy was extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and communicative. Tommy helped me big time to understand how to get in and out and get paid. Got in and out pretty quickly and got a really good payout on the scrap. Seems like this place is the place to go when you need to sell your scrap. Again, this is a great first experience, and I will be returning here from now on. Thank you, everyone, at EMR!
I’ll give it 4 stars as an honest rating, the big scale weigh in and out is fine. However small scale make sure you know your scrap metals and have them sorted accordingly. The small scale operator will check what you have and if it is clean like brass or aluminum make sure you tell her and let her check it or she will just give you dirty price like she did to me even though my brass was clean I lost some money on it however all in all it’s not a bad place to take scrap if you need to make some cash up.
I've been to different scrap yards from south jersey Philadelphia and now hazelton this by far is the best yard I've been to Tommy Reese and Christine are the best very professional and the best at there jobs always make the exchange very pleasant they need a raise increases

Cleaning out the shop, and brought my non ferrous scrap to EMR. Christie was awesome to deal with and a true asset to the EMR team. Will definitely be back again.

Tommy Reese of the Hazleton, PA facility was so very kind to me Friday as I came through the scales to unload the metal from my vehicle. My first time there he took the time to professionally guide me on the procedure of unloading, driving back through, collecting my ticket and cashing out. Tommy didn’t know that I was grieving my mom’s passing and with upcoming Mother’s Day it made it that much harder on me. Tommy not only helped me with my task at hand in a professional manner but he joked with my provoking conversation about funny things that occur in life and we both had a good laugh, something that I truly needed at this time. Tommy is an outstanding employee with that special gift to uplift others. He’s definitely an asset to this company as a whole. Thank you so much Tommy I will highly recommend and will return to EMR in the future!

Great place to take your scrap. Friendly staff, best prices in the area, and fast payment! I'd wait a month to take it to them than cheap a-hole ripoff brenners.
Tommy and Carmen are the best we stopped to drop off some cans unfortunately they had closed at 4 we arrived at 430. We felt bad they were waiting for us to leave. We hit a huge pothole filled with water and at the bottom of the hole was a license plate with two screws in it. They stuck right in the tire. They both came back and helped us patch the two holes in the tire. What great guys this business is truly lucky to have such great and caring employees than you so much guys. I have been to EMR about 6 times including today and have met and dealt with Tommy. All the reviews are right and if I could give Tommy a hundred stars I would. He is very friendly, very helpful, great personality and great sense of humor. It is so refreshing to go to a business that actually has people who are friendly. Can't find that around here anymore. This is the only place you want to take your scrap metal. The best ever.

Decided to try Hazleton EMR after hearing good things about them. To my surprise the experience was better than anticipated. I was first greeted and given clear instructions from a gentleman named Tom who Was working the scale. In and out quickly and was paid top dollar!!!! Great yard!
One of the best scrap yards around. This place has the best people working here. Both of the scale people have the up most respect and treat there customers with respect as well. I would rather come here then any other recycling place. Go there get paid well.
Great place to scrap a car. After having so many other places saying they can't take my car or they wont pay me for it. I found this place
They took the car, no questions asked. And paid me for the scrap weight(about $250). And paid in cash.
