Great friendly family service. My family takes their vehicles to Highs. On more than one occasion where we had an emergency breakdown. Today was a good day to go to their car wash. Lot of salt on the road. Had to get it off. My truck already started rusting. I'm glad they were open.
This was my first time at High's, my neighbor recommended them, I was very pleased with the service and they were very kind and informative, looking forward to my next service!
My daughter is a college student in the area and we needed a trustworthy mechanic that would not take advantage of her. This place went above and beyond to help. Price was only slightly higher than our mechanic back home and lower than other places I called in Lancaster. I can not recommend them enough!
I have taken vehicles to Fred and Travis for over 20 years. They run a top notch garage and bring integrity, trust and service to their customers. Their rates are so reasonable VS paying what local OEM Dealerships are charging. I am always impressed for the kindness and flexability they have offered me and my family. Highly recommend getting your vehicles serviced there.
I recently moved to the area and was nervous about what auto shop I could trust and when I asked the community page Highs came highly recommended and the community did not lead me wrong! Highs was very helpful with getting my car ready to pass inspection and were very friendly and efficient without charging an arm and I leg. We’ll be bringing all of our business there and recommending to others!
Fred, Travis and De Anne are the wonderful staff I have met so far. High Auto has always been reasonable, fair and honest. Although I do not work in Rothsville anymore, I still come here to get my vehicle seviced. I will and do recommend Highs Auto to everyone. The fairness and integrity of this establishment excels! I am currently sitting here waiting for my tail light case to be replaced and I wanted to write this review before I forgot!! Way to go , High Auto! You treat your customers well and kindly!!

High is just amazing! I just left and again Travis and De Anne were so helpful and kind. My headlight needed replaced and High took carw of it very quickly and efficiently without an established appointment. My family has actually transferred over to High. Just last week, my Wife got her Jeep inspected . Even though we are about a hour away, we will keep coming back because of great service, honesty and kindness.

I am not able to do another review so I will again just add on to the two reviews that I already did above . Deanne And Travis are just so wonderful. My battery needed replaced...it was an urgent situation and late afternoon. My car had been having issues not starting and of course- who wants to be left stranded?
They squeezed me in today so I am sitting here actually waiting for the battery to be replaced! The Jeep dealership could not see me til Feb!
I do not do reviews often and it is usually when something is stellar!

The work they did on my car was good. As somebody who is deconstructing christianity, I already have a hard time going to a christian business. I've been taking my car there because they haven't tried to push it on me (except for the pamphlets on the counter). I have stickers on my car that are against christianity. I turned my radio off before I dropped it off out of respect. When I picked up my car, the radio was on and turned up on a christian radio station. It was very upsetting because I'm unpacking a lot of religious trauma. You never know what someone is going through. I will be thinking twice before going back.
EDIT - I decided to go back for my inspection this year. When I got my car back, there was a rubbing noise. I took it to my mechanic, and High's hadn't tightened the lug nuts. Three of them weren't even hand tight. You could easily move my tire back and forth. I'm glad it was caught before the tire fell off. I will NOT be going back now.

Got a few things done here; very reasonable prices and highly knowledgeable staff. If you’re a DIY-er, they’ll advise you on smaller things you can do by yourself.
My family has been a customer since around 1992. Although I have moved on into a different town a few years ago, I continue to use his business because I trust him and his work. Good business. Trust so deep that I find it hard to use someone closer to my home in Ephrata.
There is a self serve car wash attached which I've used numerous times. It's good, yet not the best one around. Affordable price for use. Some of the hand air driers have leaky issues. Not my preferred drying method outside of hand towels. But it's a convenient apparatus.
As a long term customer, I'd recommend this business to my friends.
Fred is the owner. He is wonderful as is the rest of the shop. I have serviced my car here for over 20 years. This morning I just stopped in and Fred filled up my tires
My review is long overdue! I have been going to High’s for about 15 years for all of my vehicle’s mechanical needs. They are honest, have great prices, and I trust them completely! They will even tell you when something is not worth fixing, or if there is a cheaper alternative. That is so rare these days! During a breakdown, I have even paid extra to have my car towed to High’s than to the closest mechanic.
I brought my vehicle twice to fix a tire n joint problem and only the tire rod was replaced not fixing the issue. They were rude and said just go somewhere else instead of trying to correct or.make the situation better
Excellent service for the past 20+ years. If every business was run like Fred runs High's Auto, this world would be a better place. Truly professional service at a fair price...highly recommended.
I needed part of my fuel line repaired, a wheel bearing replaced and my inspection done. They did it all pretty quickly and at a very fair and affordable price.
Always appreciate Fred and all the employees at Highs. They are knowledgeable and helpful and service is very quick. I never worry that I'm being charged for something that didn't truly need done. Honesty is hard to come by in this field so I will never go elsewhere.
We’ve used High’s Auto Service since the mid 1990’s, Fred is an honest man with integrity and always does an excellent job. You cannot find better service than here. It gives us piece of mind knowing our vehicles are well cared for, it’s done right and in a timely manner every single time. We’d highly recommend Fred and his team.
Great inexpensive place to get your vehicle back on the road in Tip-Top shape. Super great customer service who definitely always greets you with a smile. Plus right next door is the best place to get your car washed. The prices are super low lower than any other car wash within a 15-mile radius. And it gives you so much more time to be able to get your vehicle nice and clean and shiny such a clean environment at the carwash and at the auto service. Again just a wonderful small town kind of field to this auto service and car wash it is just a great place for all your car needs.
This is by far the best shop I've ever worked with and the ONLY place I take my vehicles if I can't do the work myself. Family-owned, honest as they come, reliable, fair prices. If I ever move out of the area I will still bring my vehicles back here.
Fred High and his team has been our family mechanic for over 20 years. The first quality that I crave highly in a mechanic is honesty. If Fred says I need something done and gives me an estimate I have complete confidence that it is based on my vehicle's need and not his need to bill. There have been one or two times where something wasn't done quite right but it was always made right without extra cost and without excuses. Fred operates his business with a quiet welcoming personality and is clearly a principled man.
