Liberty Auto and Tire has taken care of all of our inspections efficiently and affordably for years. They also recently cleaned some scuffs off of my car that another customer made in their parking lot, but didn’t own up to. Major props to Mac for making sure we were taken care of even though it wasn’t his fault, and to all of the staff there for always being cordial!
I've been going to Liberty Auto & Tire since 2012 and have done so because of their repeated integrity, quality of work, and friendliness. The last couple of years with Mac as the new owner has been no exception.
On my most recent inspection, I also asked that they review a list of concerns brought to my attention by a local oil change shop. They checked each item, provided a detailed cost estimate for each repair separately, and made helpful suggestions like replacing my serpentine belt last, because of other existing fluid leaks that could contaminate the brand new belt.
Ultimately, they were able to knock out the whole list in a single day and get my car back in great shape. It's much easier to mentally accept a large repair bill when you know you're not fixing things that don't really need it, and I have never thought that the labor time billed was even close to excessive.

Mac is the most transparent owner I have ever experienced. He will take his time and explain the diagnostic and evaluation in great detail. I've been using Liberty as a source for any evaluation of my vehicles. I am definitely one of if not the most demanding customer for Mac. Over the last 3 years he has never disappointed me. Extremely reliable and honest family.
This establishment appears primarily focused on profit, as evidenced by their questionable practices. They failed a vehicle due to a worn left tire, despite all tires appearing similar, seemingly to pressure us into purchasing new tires from them. Additionally, they replaced the brakes and rotors on a relative's vehicle just two weeks after these parts had been replaced, charging him for the service. Furthermore, an employee named Mac attempted to hand me someone else's bill, insisting mine was in my truck. When I questioned why he would present me with a different bill, it raised concerns about their transparency. I strongly advise against using this service.
Had right axel replaced and told by Mac it had a LIFETIME WARRANTY. Nine days later it broke again. He tried telling me he would have to check before replacing it to see WHY it broke. I told him all I wanted done was the Axel replaced. He couldn't get it done until four days later. I was told this would be the only time it would be replaced because he was insinuating it was my driving that broke it. I said it had a LIFETIME WARRANTY NOT limited by miles and years. Long story short, he was upset he had to replace it and was out money. A mechanic shop that doesn't stand by their warranty on parts is not getting a good rating from me. Their warranty/word means nothing.
Came here for service/second opinion after another shop told me I needed work done. Liberty informed me that the work was not needed at this time and my vehicle was in great shape. I greatly appreciate the honesty, hard to find trustworthy people! Will definitely be a forever customer now! Thank you, Liberty!
Mac and his team are incredible. Their prices are fair, the turnaround time is quick, and they have been able to help me more than once when in tight spot! As someone who works in customer service I have to say Liberty’s is top notch. This is the place to

Shortly after relocating to the area, a gentleman at a nearby gas station recommended this shop to me.
They are a very popular shop with the locals. Although I only needed my vehicles inspected, their prices are very reasonable. They do almost any kind of repair work. The shop has four car bays and have about 4 or 5 mechanics performing repairs. They also sell tires, batteries, wiper blades, etc.
I strongly recommend scheduling an appointment. Saturdays are obviously their busiest day.
For those customers who speak Spanish, they have a mechanic that speaks Spanish fluently.
I recommend this shop to those folks looking for an honest shop that does quality work.
This is the only place we go Efficient work,market priced is a word we would use.

I had a slow leak in my tire over the 4th of July holiday weekend. I went to Liberty on the 5th hoping that they would have time to check it out. They took my car almost right away and found the problem and fixed it. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. I would highly recommend them
These guys are the best. It’s wonderful to have a local company that you can trust with the maintenance and safety of your car, and also know they are going to be fair and honest. The owner personally took care of me when I brought my car in for work, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else after my experience. Check these guys out.
I was initially very happy with the service at Liberty Auto. They are slightly more expensive than other local and smaller businesses, but they get the job done quickly and aren't too overpriced. They seemed very kind and professional. However, the last time I brought my vehicle in -- due to an abrubt change in safety circumstances for my children -- I was legally relocated to another state just after my vehicle being serviced. After just over TWO MONTHS I recieved a letter stating this company will sue me for the cost of my repairs. I understand my payment is past due and take full responsibility for that. But a simple phone call/voicemail would have sufficed and I would have reached out and worked payment arrangements out asap. I received not a single phone call even though they had my number on file, yet I was told on the phone that they assumed I was avoiding them. While I cannot afford $1k within 2 weeks notice, I am more than willing to make payments -- though they are demanding it in full within 2 weeks. I am very sad and frustrated that now I have more problems on my plate with now being taken to court by them when I am a hard working mother trying to support my children with my income not even being a quarter of what it was right now due to COVID-19. I have already withrdrawn all of my 401k funds to support my kids due to the pandemic and emergent move 7hrs away. If you have no problem coming up with a lot of money at once and can pay way more than anticipated on the spot, go with this company and you will be happy you did. If you do not have extra savings in case of emergencies or unexpected circumstances/costs, go with another place.
**Edited to add, I contacted them again and paid off balance in full as soon as I received my stimulus check.
Best mechanics in the areah. They are very honest about the maintenance of my vehicle and my family's vehicles.
When my old car was ready for the junk yard, instead of taking advantage of me, they told me it would save myself money just to get a new car and junk the old one.
They pick up my vehicle when it needs taken in and have let me be a little late on paying the bill.
I thank them for their honesty, sincerity and patience with my family.
Experienced, great communication, knowledgeable, trustworthy, I drive from Harpers Ferry to be able to continue to have Brent and his team service our vehicles.
The owners Brent and Jody have always done a good job for me at a fair price. Recently my 2002 Honda Odyssey transmission failed. They gave me an estimate to install a rebuilt transmission with a 3 year 100,000 mile parts and labor warranty. They installed the transmission and the final price was the same as the estimated price. The transmission has never shifted smoother! The work was done on time and I know that I can trust Brent and Jody to stand behind their warranty. I can't see myself going anywhere else to have my work done. They have a great team of mechanics with lots of experience and everyone is professional. I know some of the mechanics have been with them a very long time. They have a large shop but you get that small town friendly treatment.
Liberty Auto and tire has been taking care of vehicles for me for the past 15 years. I have found their service to be good and have found them easy to work with. I would recommend them to anyone.
