The owner and staff at Mercer Auto Wreckers are the best! They are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. It’s almost like when you become a customer, you become part of their extended family. I was in the middle of a 60-car pileup on the interstate in a bad snowstorm and despite being one of their busiest, highest-pressure days of the year, they treated me like a valuable person.
My tire blew out on i79. It was terrifying. I did a google search of tow trucks nearby and they answered right away. They got a truck to me in about 30 minutes, towed my SUV to their shop, and installed two new tires. I was back on the road within 90 minutes. Very polite, friendly, and super quick. Thank you so much!
I want to say that this is one of the best repair shops I’ve ever dealt with. They helped me with a tow and a tire replacement right in the middle of the highway. A State Police officer stopped to check on me and recommended this service. I called them, and they arrived within 30 minutes—even though there was absolutely nothing nearby.
They helped me quickly, and the final price was actually lower than I expected. Their shop was already closed, but they didn’t make me wait until the next morning—instead, they replaced my tire that same evening. From start to finish, the whole experience took no more than an hour.
I can truly recommend them to anyone. This is the kind of service I’ve never experienced before. 5 out of 5.
I hit a deer on my way home to Erie, and although I was only about 60 miles from home, I could not find a tow service through my auto service who would come get it. The state trooper called Mercer Auto Wreckers, and they were just wonderful. The young man who towed the car (Brian?) Was so very nice and reassuring. It was 12/9/23 at around 6:30 pm. He waited with me until my husband arrived. Thank you!
Hello everyone! My name is Gino. I have been in the truck business for 14 years. On 11/1/2023 there was a big accident. which I also had to participate in. Towing company, called: - "Mercer auto Wreckers" They did everything possible to remove overturned semitrucks and cars from the road. I am personally grateful for their professionalism and hospitality. this gorgeous, hardworking, close-knit family. very polite people who know their business very well. This place is great! Very kind and helpful group of workers AND extended family. RV tire blew late one night, no place to stay the night let alone get a new tire. They had just closed but the man met us at the shop, after hours, and searched his shop for a tire. No luck. We were allowed to stay in his lot for the night. He showed up at 7am and after searching for a tire in town, picking it up and getting us back on the road was all of a couple hours!
Im dissabled needed wheel cover ,john had a employee chauffeur me out to look on a golf cart he probably barely charged me enough to cover employees time got exactly what i needed these are great folks
