I own a very decrepit '97 Jeep Wrangler that I keep on my property solely because it has an equally rusty plow. After the last snow storm I found red liquid all over the inside of the engine compartment and ol' girl revved hard but barely moved. I thought she'd finally given up the ghost. I called Gradyville Auto to see if I could have it towed there for them to look at it. Not only did they fix by the next day (transmission apparently over-heated) they installed a transmission cooler (which apparently the Jeep should have had installed the plow was still gleaming) and the price for it all was less than a family 7 to eat a Five Guys.
We are planning to upgrade to a newer model Jeep soon, but Gradyville Auto got her up and running in time for this weekend's expected 24" of snow, and for that I am hugely thankful. Plus, I learned they will also service my '80 MGB, so that's great news, too.
I wouldn't take my jeep anywhere else.
I had been dealing with a intermittent check engine light for years, every time I took it into a mechanic, they couldn't find a problem and suggested flushing the engine. So I did that a few times and the check engine light would go off, but eventually come back on.. it wasn't permanently fixed until I found Gradyville Auto. I dropped my jeep off and sure enough, I got a call and they explained that it was the coils.
I had 3 bad coils, and they suggested changing the spark plugs and the coils as my Jeep, has a 170000 miles on it. And with doing so, sure enough, the check engine light went off and has stayed off.
The Jeep is running better than ever. And I owe it all to the honesty and hard work of the guys at Gradyville Auto!
Tony is the nicest, treats everyone like family! Dave and the other mechanics are great mechanics. They always work effectively & efficiently on my vehicle. Highly recommend.
The shop where you pay for gas is a bit dirty and the young man the last time I went in to pay for and gas up a friend's car seemed to be kinda strange
Took my GMC in 3 times. For a Power steering line leak. Pointed out exact spot, but, they took a mega short cut, cut off Fluid line cooling pump, didn't use New lines, used metal clamps in high pressure. Not, legal? As you can lose all steering - deadly. Took it back, cost 1500. In rentals. Back again, got worse, never corrected issue. I do not recommend these folks? Sorry but they seem to all use a Auto shop App. As to pricing? Best to go back to dealers again. No savings just grief? My opinion & experience only. (Power steering)
My car would crank but not start so I had it towed to the shop around noon and the next morning they called me with the issue diagnosed and cost up front. They replaced the fuel pump and had it ready by 5pm same day. Thank you Tony and crew! I will be back :)
Had a screw in my tire. Called them up and they told me to bring it right over and back right up to the bay. Got a quality tire patch for a very reasonable price and was out in 15 minutes. Definitely recommend.
We have been taking our cars here for 10 years. Such great service and they treat you like family. So fortunate to have this place right down the road from us. Ever since it became Liberty, gas is much less expensive!
The owner Tony is the nicest person ever! The mechanics are very professional and the prices they quote are very reasonable. Not too many places like this anymore.
I second the comment that Dave is a superb mechanic. He's also super honest.
I have an aging SUV. I've had the clutch, radiator, and plugs replaced here (and yearly inspection). I called multiple shops in the area for clutch quotes; most places were way over the quote I got here. They were also upfront about recommending certain things and giving me tiers of options. It's really hard to find an honest shop. I keep returning because these guys are honest and they do good work.
I just had another issue where my oil pressure light was going on at idle. The gauge would completely drop.
They looked at it today and tracked it down to a kinked tube (probably from the kid at the quick lube spot a few weeks ago). They fixed that and charged me a bit for labor. Doesn't get better than that. Could have led me down the path of replacing the sensor or toward replacing the oil pump ($$$).
The gas here might not be cheap, but the shop is awesome. I just moved West a bit from Glen Mills, but I'll keep bringing my car here.
Dave is the best mechanic in the county. Never misses details and always goes the extra mile to make sure you're satisfied. He personally calls customers with an estimate or to tell them a car is ready which ensures you can get your questions answered imnediately. Tony the owner treats his customers like family and won't hesitate to help you out on short notice. We take all of our cars there and haven't yet had a job done that isn't 100 percent.
These guys do honest, quality work for an incredibly reasonable price. I was leaking oil, after having my oil changed at another, never to be patronized again, quick lube place. Gradyville found the oil plug wasn't fully inserted, and didn't even charge me for their time. I've had my brakes done here; another great job. Other family members swear by these guys, too. Well done!
