What time is a great customer service representative whatever he is he’s good. I really appreciate his service. He’s a good guy and I give him 10 stars.

Called this location this morning to check the availability for oil change an older lady answered and said yes I can come in at 330p, and do I want to make an appointment? I said “yes, I’ll take it” and she said OK. I then wait to see if she will ask me my name and information for the appointment like a regular customer service rep but nope, she hung right up. But I still went to the location for said “appointment” and a guy at the desk asked me my name for the appointment and I told him that the lady did not take down my name and told him what happened. He said I must have gotten the customer service line that is not attached to the store. INCORRECT I would have known if it was not the store and the lady who walked in and was talking on the phone while I was talking to him was the same lady that I spoke to. I’m 100% sure. Horrid service on her part. Do better.

Literally the worst. I had 1130 appointment for an oil change. I showed up at 11:15. I waited an hour and a half for an oil change. The shop employees they enjoyed more goofing off, throwing towels at each other and playing on their phones.

Brought my car in on Sunday because there were the only place open and we needed 2 new tires to get to work on Monday. They not only replaced the wrong tires, so I had to bring it back and get my old tire put back on, and now there is a huge gash in the side of the tire that wasn't there prior, the 2 new tires are slowly leaking, which tells me they didn't install correctly. I also paid for an alignment and I can tell clearly it wasn't done... All this for close to $500

I called before headed to this store. They told me to come. Drove 18 miles for them to tell me they can't do it today.I would've gone to another one closer to me if that was the case. Didn't even apologize. I wish I could give them a negative -1 review.

What a joke business. Scheduled appointment days prior. Day of appointment - wait in line Was told they only had 3 tires. Guy working counter was not very personable, nor care that I was not happy. let me walk out the door without saying anything else. Would NEVER go there again. Run to Mavis just down the road. They will be out of business within 12 months they way they handle customers.

Simple brake and rotor job turned into over 4 hours because the mechanic locked up my brakes installing new ones incorrectly. Then lied saying the pad was defective. Not how that works. He installed them wrong and it locked my car into place. Then he revs the engine to about 8000RPM probably causing more damage that I’m waiting for. Total clown show there. Just take your car to a normal mechanic even if it is something as simple as brakes. Their mechanics are not good at all

$456 for an oil change and a leaky windshield fluid pump? You be the judge. I think that's over-priced, and so did the internet. Service was fine otherwise if you are in a pinch (they always have wide availability,) but be prepared to pay top dollar (at least that's what they charged me).

Very disappointing experience at Pep Boys Brookhaven. I went there today to get my Pennsylvania state inspection, and even though I had a valid temporary registration issued by PennDOT/AutoTags (which is fully accepted by PA law), the inspector refused to perform the inspection. He insisted that he could only do it with the permanent registration card, which is simply not true. Every licensed inspection station in PA can and should perform inspections with a valid temporary registration. Instead of helping, the inspector suggested that I “wait for the permanent one to arrive,” even if that meant missing the legal 10-day inspection deadline. This shows a clear lack of knowledge and professionalism. I had to leave without the service I needed, wasting my time and leaving extremely frustrated. If you are transferring a vehicle from another state or using a temporary registration, avoid this location — they do not seem to understand the basic PA inspection regulations.

TBH, I feel rooked. I’m super disappointed. Brought my car in for tire installation, check engine light diagnosis, oil change, and state inspection. The afternoon after drop-off I received a VM at work saying to call back to talk about my state inspection. I called the following morning and was told that I’d need to have the secondary air pump replaced in order to pass inspection. Cost would be $615 and they’d have to order it so I’d need to leave my car for a couple of days. I agreed to the price out of necessity; and to leaving my car because I was traveling for work. The person on the phone also said that the person who checked out my car was also recommending a new battery, a new oil filter housing assembly, and a belt component kit. I asked for costs and was told I’d get a call back that day. That call never happened. I called the next day and again requested prices for the above. I received them and also a surprising new price for the necessary secondary air pump - now $1,623.90 because they forgot to include the cost of labor. That’s a BIG difference! Wish there was more transparency sooner. I told them I needed to think about the costs for the additional recommendations and would call them back, but to proceed with the OG reasons I brought my car in for. The next afternoon as I was traveling back home from my work trip I received a VM that my car was ready. My presumption was that when I picked up my car I’d have four new and safe balanced tires, an oil change, and my state inspection stickers on my car. Nope. I show up to get my car and was told that they didn’t have the means to balance my new tires “because it’s a Mercedes” and I’d “need to take it to ‘the dealership’ to have them balanced.” I’ve never taken my 2012 Mercedes to “the dealer” in my life, even the last time I had four new tires installed AND balanced. Then, I’m told–much to my surprise–that because my engine light was on when I brought the car in I would have to drive my car 100 miles and bring it back in to get my inspection stickers. Why wasn't any of this communicated to me BEFORE texting that my car was ready for pickup???? The cherry on top: the lady at the front desk didn’t tell me much more that had been done to my car before rattling off the grand total. I asked to see the itemized SOW to confirm what services were actually rendered. Get this: She said I could see it AFTER paying because that’s the only way to see the itemized list. I pressed again–I need to know WHAT I’m paying for. She tapped a couple of buttons and lo and behold my entire order, including the itemized list of services rendered, appeared right before my eyes on the credit card reader. Was I taken advantage of? Or is the front-of-house staff not as informed as they need to be? Meanwhile, here I am driving around on shaky unbalanced tires, with expired inspection stickers, and frustration that I have to spend even more money and time to get these things sorted. Not happy.

Absolutely DO NOT go to Pep Boys Brookhaven – this place is running an outright scam centered on failing state inspections to force unnecessary tire sales. I arrived on time for my 9:00 AM scheduled appointment for nothing more than an oil change and Pennsylvania state inspection. Despite the appointment, I waited 15+ minutes behind four people with only one cashier working. While in line I watched her aggressively push new tires on a young woman who clearly didn’t need them – foreshadowing what was about to happen to me and literally every other customer I saw that day. Process was already sketchy: had to email my insurance docs to an address she spelled out loud (no printed card, felt shady), no cost breakdown given, just “sign here” on the pad. Confirmed my cell number for the callback and left. At 1 PM they called my wife’s phone (not the number I gave) and said the car failed inspection because of a “bubble” on one tire. My 2024 vehicle came factory-fresh with Bridgestone tires – still basically new. They wanted $200 for a single mismatched Cooper tire, claimed brand didn’t matter because it would be on the rear. When I refused, they admitted the report only said “Recommended Replacement” – NOT required – yet they still failed the entire vehicle over this optional recommendation. Pure extortion. Worse: they had already applied the 2026 state inspection sticker, then ripped it off when I said no, and literally taped/Reglued the 2025 back on the windshield like a kindergartener. Emissions sticker was fine (2026), but the safety sticker was visibly torn and reattached. Completely unprofessional and makes you question if these people should even be certified to do state inspections. While picking up my car I watched the exact same script play out: Guy in front of me wanted oil change + rotation → told him rotation wasn’t done because he “needed tires” Two other customers in the 10 minutes I was there got the identical tire upsell Their own inspection report photo didn’t even clearly show any bubble, and I couldn’t find one when I inspected the tire myself. This store is deliberately failing cars that should pass just to scare people into buying tires they don’t need. I’ve used other Pep Boys locations with zero drama; Brookhaven is a predatory outlier. The State needs to strip this location of its state inspection license immediately. Dishonest, incompetent, and borderline fraudulent. Zero stars if Google allowed it. Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else.

They were able to replace a damaged headlight connector on very short notice. Had my car back in six hours despite a nationwide computer glitch!

These guys are consistently my go to for auto repair. Having their credit card helps me stay consistently on the go without the worry of a large random bill I'd not anticipated.

I stopped in without an appointment about an hour before closing on a Thursday because I heard and felt a loud thumping under my car. The techs took it for a quick drive and thought there might be an issue with the driver’s side axle. They recommended keeping it overnight since they didn’t think it was safe for me to drive, and I’m so glad they did! They called me the next day with the best kind of good/bad news — my axle was fine, but my lug nuts were almost completely loose and my tire was about to come off. I’m beyond thankful for how quickly they figured it out and how kind and understanding everyone was. This location will definitely be my family’s go-to for all our vehicles!

My experience with Pep Boys brokehaven was not very good. The tire is a good tire.It was installed fine.It was never balanced the two ladies at work there diane and hepsey. Are not very knowledgeable. When my vehicle was finished hepsey Explain to me the warranty on the tire told me my vehicle was fine and that was basically it. I drove my vehicle away and instantly it started to shake.I've worked as a mechanic before.I'm not an idiot, tire, wasn't balanced? It didn't have any weights on it. I brought it back the next morning. The other lady diane who just smokes cigarettes. Gave Me a hard time (thats what shes good sat) and her horrible attitude. There 2 mechanics on site one Was a state inspector there doing car inspections and a mechanic. Neither one of them would pick up my truck and take the tire off and balance it. I had. To leave and come back in the middle of the afternoon. I came back Hepsey was waiting for me, Immediately came out from behind the counter with her chest out and a lot of attitude.Telling me that my rim was bent on my truck, but she never said anything about that when they gave it to me. Never said anything about not being able to balance the tire or anything when i asked her why didnt you tell me that when you gave me the papers that say tire balanced 90 days $22.98 It's just her excuse. Then she turns around and tells me. I should just take my truck to a truck place. I probably should because nobody there knows anything. Beyond that, I've taken, my truck had my tire balanced in 5 minutes. And it's doing just fine , don't ever go to pep boys in brookhaven....

Great customer service, as always. State inspection required brake work and new tires. Hepsey and Diane took the time to review options and pricing, and they provided excellent advice based on their invaluable experience (they’ve seen it all!). Wish other businesses I deal with were half as knowledgeable, effective, and friendly. I honestly look forward to seeing them. UPDATE: Another great experience. Here I was trying to manage my tire pressure more precisely with Bluetooth valve stem caps to know which tire needs air when the TPMS light comes on (it’s always the last one I guess). Hepsey explained to me why that was all wrong and caused the caps to fuse to my valve stems; “galvanic corrosion” says Andrew, seeing my fascination in learning the science behind why my idea was so boneheaded. They straightened me out, fixed what I broke, and very graciously taught me something new about how tire pressure management systems work. Only complaint was that someone gave Diane the day off (the nerve!), so I missed her humorous commentary on the situation. But, I’ll be back soon and will tell her all about it then! Love this place.

If you are a person who works hard for your money and has no money or time to waste do not waste your time going to the Pepboys in Brookhaven. First let's start by speaking on the lady Darlene and the supervisor of this location! They do not care about the people they serve and need to take a class on customer service and effective communication. I made an appointment for 9am on a Wednesday for brake pads and rotors. I called by 12 and my car had not even been seen because they said "well once you decide to leave your car your appointment is void and we will get to your car when we get to it". I then do not get my car back until 6pm. All to get it back and my brakes and rotors are grinding. The next day I go back to pepboys for them to drive it from one stop sign to another and say it's fine. I explain it's grinding and squealing, please take further and actually drive the car. The supervisor says no I just took it on as drive and my guys told me they just changed your rotors and pads. I take my car to the Nissan dealership who does a diagnostic and says they used aftermarket brakes and the brakes are already breaking into your rotors. My problem is I spend a lot of money with pepboys and to not even care to do a full assessment on my car after I just paid for the problem I'm coming back to you for Is not only disrespectful but speaks volumes on how much you care about your companies name and the people you are serving! But sit tight this is not the last pepboys will hear from me!

One star only because I can’t give zero. Absolutely awful. Made appointment in the phone. Specifically ordered the tires I wanted. Showed up 15 min before my appt. Got an awful attitude from the woman behind the counter. No tires in stock. Not even in their “system”! What a waste of my time. Looks like I’ll be going elsewhere.

Bad customer services. I dropped off my car at 10am and my car was there all day , the car was not taken inside till 3p when I called and when I called at 5:30p again. I was told the car needs a lot to be done . When i wented to puck up my car, i was told the technician has gone for the day and none can put my car together for me to pick it up. My car was inside the garage till the next day. I requested to puck it at 8am so i can go yo work and I was told, noone will put the car together since the parts are not together. I missed work just to get the car checked and done. It was a waste of the whole day. No remorse . The customer services is bad.

Don’t go here. I took my 2011 Toyota Camry in for a routine oil change on June 21st. My service experience was at best dishonest, and was borderline predatory. First, I made an appointment over the phone and received a price quote of approximately $47.00. When I arrived to drop the car off I was told it was going to be approximately $100.00 because I “had” to use synthetic oil. That wasn’t honest but $100.00 for synthetic oil is the going rate so I accepted it. Here comes the horrible part. They called me a told me both the drain plug and oil pan were stripped and I needed a new oil pan. I told them not to do anything and I’d be up. When I arrived Hempsy (service manager I assume) handed me a spring and told me that was the threads that came out of the oil pan. I went back and got under the car. I wiped off the oil pan. I looked inside and saw threads. The threads were fine on the drain plug. Within 1 minute I had the drain plug back in the vehicle with no issue and I was holding my cell phone. Side note: I worked at a service station between the ages of 15-19. Their are no springs on a drain plug or oil pan. Are you kidding me? I attached a photo of the “threads” that came out. They flat out lied. When I called BS they stuck to the lie. They didn’t even offer a discount nor an apology. Very sad. Is this the type of shop or image PepBoys wants in the market place? What can be done to ensure this doesn’t happen to the next consumer? I contacted the better business bureau.

I had a great experience at the Brookhaven Pep Boys. I was greeted in the parking lot when I got out of my car and again when I walked in the door. I dropped my car off, the Chevy mileage service and state inspections were completed in great time. I thought I would be without my car all day, and had it back by 1:00. The service team went over all details of my service at drop off, when they called to say service was completed, and again when I was at pickup and paid my bill.

Made my appointment online & was able to get in to get in to drop my car off and it was done quickly. My only complaint is the tires listed on the website that STATED they were AVAILABLE at the Brookhaven service center, but were not on-site. Those tires would have had to be ordered prior to my scheduled appointment, if I wanted them the day of service. Of course, I had to buy the more expensive tires in stock. This was not in my plans to spend an extra $100+ dollars.

Had to have my car towed to the Pep Boys in Brookhaven, Pa for a new battery. They couldn’t have been more friendly. Very nice waiting room and super clean bathroom. They were honest about the timing it might take because I didn’t have an appointment. But they were able to complete my car well before I anticipated. And they checked other things too like lights and tires. Great experience.

Been a customer of this particular Pep Boys for over 10 years. Had my car in recently for a valve cover gasket replacement. Paid more than $350 for the service. When I picked up the vehicle I asked if they had to top off the oil and the response from the mechanic was "the oil level is fine". Taking their word for it I left. After a few minutes of driving the car started sputtering, which it has never done. Then I started getting an awful gas/exhaust smell in the cabin. After pulling over I checked the dip stick and noticed there was no oil registering on it. I put 2 quarts of oil in it just to get it up to the minimum level of oil. There is no way the tech checked the oil level after replacing the valve cover gasket, which should absolutely have been done. Then I wanted it checked by my dealership to see if anything else was going on and was told that the valve gasket cover was obviously seated/installed wrong and it was causing engine exhaust to come into the cabin, a very dangerous situation. After speaking with the manager at Pep Boys I was told they will not refund any of the cost of the repair, even the labor. They say I should have brought the vehicle there, even though it was sputtering and had no oil when I left. It's disappointing since I've been a customer for two of my vehicles for so long, even with all of their increases in prices they've had recently. Time to move on to a shop that will actually take care of their long time customers.

Needed to have my two rear tires changed out on my Corvette. Front desk, Phu and technicians was very polite, professional and helpful on having this done. Clean and fast turnaround time maybe took 30 mins. In and out. Definitely would recommend especially if your car has lowered suspension.

I called Pep Boys in Brookhaven to have my right front headlight reassembled, have windshield wipers replaced, and get an inspection. Hepsey told me to come in so they could have a better understanding and they’d take care of it if they could. The checkout process was very clear, and thorough, as well as quick. I waited an hour and a half(which is amazing considering I had no appointment). And I’m back legal in the streets. Thank you Hepsey, Airess, and Pep Boys team in Brookhaven. Definitely will be coming back to have my tires done!

I will not be returning for anything! I went in to get a regular oil change for my car scheduled for 1 PM and arrived at 12:45, waited about an hour and a half for my car to be finished in the shop. And once it was finally done, I started driving car back home when I heard my skid plate at the front of my car start grinding on the ground! I pull over and quickly find out that they hadn't put back the screws that they took out to get to my oil pan! I called them to let them know and they said they would fix it (as they should considering they're at fault). And my whole 30 minute drive back it was scraping on the ground and I was afraid of what could happen if it had broken off. When I arrive I told them i would like to speak to the manager, and they told me if they believe my skid plate needs to be replaced they will do it. After they replaced the screws they told me their mechanic did it wrong, but not to worry about it because its now "okay" and "accidents happen". My life was at risk and I get told its okay and accidents happen? No compensation was given to me for this inconvenience and for the damage to my skid plate. Awful place to go, I don't recommend it.

Made an appointment at 1 pm to have one tire check for slow leak. The workers were rude, the store and the ventilation system is caked with dirt. I understand it's a service center but the waiting area was so bad. It took 2 hours to have my one tire checked. After the check didn't fine the leak. Dang what a waste of time. So disappointed trying to support local businesses but the service not worth it. Never coming here again.

I have had very mixed reviews. This one I will leave as a good visit. Everyone I encountered was very kind and helpful, I expecting the same poor customer service like past experiences. Answered some questions that I had about keys. Wait time for oil change was long enough to walk down shopping center and look into a couple stores and then come back to vehicle being completed. Free AC check promotion going on currently.
