I just discovered this new gem in Kennett Square. I have a neighbor that owned an HVAC company, and I have called him on a Friday night in the summer when my A/C went out and he came over to help. Why does this matter? Because I feel like that is what I have found at Kranz Motorcars. Friends or neighbors that will help. I had taken my car to the dealer when another repair shop couldn’t figure out what was wrong. The repair estimate from the dealer was shocking. I had driven by Kranz several times and I am beyond glad I called them. Joe was honest, communicated well, had realistic pricing, and did great work on my 14-year-old German car. I’m thrilled and can’t say enough positive things about my experience.

Was looking for a local shop to service my 2013 Cayenne and found Kranz Motorcars had just opened in my community. The dealer I had been using became disappointing with their customer service and pricing. It was a pleasure dealing with such a customer focused enterprise with this husband and wife team. Joe did a thorough evaluation of my service needs and was very fair on the price of the repairs. Joe went so far as to share a few tire brands I should consider, as I'm due for new ones, that would give me longer life than the ones I currently have on my vehicle. Very happy to have found them!

Joe is the man, he won't BS you and try to upsell you on work and he has a phenomenal understanding of VW/Audi thanks to years as an audi master tech. It's a far drive but I can't imagine taking my car anywhere else for serious work.

I needed my PCV replaced on my B8 Audi SQ5 and didn't want to go to the dealership. So, I asked my wife if she could find me a German car specialist in the area, and man, did she deliver! She found me Joe Kranz, owner of Kranz Motorcars. I called and made an appointment, then dropped off the car. He even helped me get a rental vehicle while he worked on my car. As he was working on the car, he found some small issues and asked me if I wanted to address them while he was working. The whole process from start to finish was seamless. Sorry for such a long review, but my car is running better than ever thanks to Joe. Please do yourself a favor and take your Euro cars to Joe. He treats you like family; he's honest and punctual. While I only met Joe earlier this year, I knew as soon as we spoke that I had found my new mechanic. My wife and I have owned German cars for all of our lives. About 10 VWs, 3 Audis, and now 4 Porsches, not to mention our three kids' VWs and Audis. I have heavily modified almost all of these cars, and as such they are and continue to be a huge part of our lives. I love working on them myself, but with modern German Engineering, most work is way beyond my abilities. I was introduced to Joe in the spring as I was looking to have some significant mods done to my current VW Golf R. He replaced and upgraded the clutch, intercooler, turbo, fuel pump, spark plugs and intake, as well as added a tune that completely transformed the car. Additionally, we had him do a significant service on the wife's Macan shortly thereafter. Joe's work was flawless, and he treated our cars like they were his own. I have since learned that his experience and technical expertise is only surpassed by his honesty and fairness! All of cars will be going there moving forward for inspections, routine maintenance and performance upgrades. I strongly suggest if you own a German automobile that you do, too. Joe (@ Kranz Motorcars) is a master technician that has maintained and cared for my special German vehicles since 2010 when he worked for Holberts VW/Audi/Porsche in Warrington. My cars have followed Joe ever since to another dealership and now to his own shop. There is no one more honest or skilled in the profession. Furthermore, he is a genuine nice guy and I consider him a personal friend. I have several complex German cars and feel confident I can keep them meticulously maintained under his care. Joe’s work is always detailed and thorough. If you care for your German vehicles, take them to Joe! He gets it!

Joe's service has been consistently impeccable. I am blown away by his attention to detail, as well as his knowledge, and honest workmanship. Joe is one of a kind. I do alot of my own wrenching but these newer german cars are not backyard mechanic friendly. Joe has worked Audi S5, BMW 750li, Porsche Cayenne, and most recently VW EOS that was without a doubt possesed by Satan himself. When Joe works on my stuff, my mind is at ease because he is thorough and I know it well be done right.
