If you’re looking for a true hidden gem just a short drive from Hersheypark, look no further than America’s Transportation Experience / AACA Museum, Inc.. This outstanding museum delivers an incredibly rich journey through the evolution of American transportation, and it’s absolutely worth the admission price. AACA Museum +1 From the moment you walk through the doors, you can tell this isn’t your average “car museum.” The collection is thoughtfully curated and beautifully displayed. You’ll find brilliantly restored automobiles, buses, and motorcycles that span the history of personal and public transportation from the late 1800s through the 1980s. The exhibits are arranged in thematic, lifelike settings—think nostalgic roadside diners, classic drive-ins, and detailed period scenes that really bring every era to life. Tripadvisor +1 As a motorcycle enthusiast, this museum was an absolute treat. Alongside iconic automobiles, the motorcycle displays are impressive and engaging, giving equal weight to two-wheeled history and culture. It’s rare to find such depth and variety in one place, and every section feels well-thought-out and educational. Tripadvisor One of the standout features is the world’s largest permanent collection of Tucker automobiles—their story alone is fascinating and uniquely American. Add in frequent rotating special exhibits and interactive elements like model train displays and hands-on assembly experiences, and you have a destination that’s fun for all ages. Tripadvisor +1 Whether you’re a lifelong gearhead or just someone who appreciates beautifully restored pieces of history, this museum will hold your interest for hours. It’s perfect as a standalone visit or as a complement to a day in Hershey. Highly recommended!

I am so glad I found this place while looking for things to do around Hershey. The people working here are friendly and knowledgeable. I was amazed at just how big this museum was, especially the main floor. There are vehicles here from all time periods and there's so much to learn and explore. I love the interactive experiences, especially all of the information about Tucker cars. I had no idea how popular they used to be, so this was definitely a learning experience for me. I highly recommend coming here, and make sure you have plenty of time to explore!

A great place to visit for all ages. The exhibits are well organized and showcase a fascinating collection of vintage transportation and classic automobiles. Everything is displayed clearly, making it easy to explore and enjoy at your own pace. The space is spacious, bright, and well maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere. It was easy to enter with no wait, and the overall layout makes the experience comfortable even on a weekend. A very enjoyable and educational stop, especially for anyone interested in automotive history or looking for a relaxed indoor activity. Highly recommended.

My wife, kids, and I visited here to do an episode for our YouTube channel SYE Productions-Co. We visited during the holiday season, so the place was all dressed up for Christmas. The staff we're all really friendly, very inviting and full of information pertinent to the museum and what they had to offer inside and out. Since it is the holiday season, they do toys for tots and give you money off of your entry fee if you bring toys. Very cool place to visit with the family. Even my wife was interested, which is awesome. I've been trying to get her interested in the automotive hobby for years. This place has 3 floors of automotive history, cars, and motorcycles, and according to one of the volunteers that spoke with us, to make a video for our YouTube channel, it changes all the time. We visited on a cold, snowy day. It was definitely a perfect place to visit on a day like that.

My wife & I both had an enjoyable walk through this museum during their "Trees & Trains" Christmas exhibit. I like that they had a nice variety of both antiques and classics. The Plymouth Roadrunner's and Chevy Apache were our favorites (which I failed to take photos of). Lots of cool time period based displays, and setups. Staff is very welcoming, especially the WW2 Veteran assistant we got to stop and talk with in the "Roads to Rails" room. He was very informative and truly enjoyed seeing the inner child of guests play with the interactive pedals to run the train town. Would definitely go back.

This place is truly amazing! It has three stories all filled with old cars, buses, and station wagons. I am an old car and truck enthusiast so this was my dream come true! I was on vacation for Hershey Park and saw it on my way to the park and I knew I had to stop and check it out and when I did It did not disappoint. Their tickets are reasonably priced and you do not need to buy tickets ahead of time, you can buy them there. Truly a hidden gem in Hershey, PA.

We had a wonderful experience at AACA! So many vehicles with lots of interactive exhibits and history, my family easily spent an hour and a half exploring. They were all decked out for Christmas (so many trees! ?) throughout the 3 floors and they had a Grinch and Max stuffed animal scavenger hunt, which added a fun element to our trip. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and there was one volunteer who gave my son a couple of quarters for a spin on a kiddie ride they had on the lower level and had him stamp his own paper soda jerk hat in the 50s diner replica. I regret not getting his name, but that interaction definitely contributed to this museum trip being a core memory for all of us!

A must when visiting Hershey. Just the Tucker exhibit alone is an interesting experience. Free admission for AACA members.

Very nice museum. We'd been once before a few years ago. This time was after participating in a very special event, their Model T Driving Experience, which was great! After a nice lecture the 9 drivers in our group were first a passenger with an instructor. Then they each got to drive 4 different Model T cars with the instructor. I was a rider (an experienced instructor took Riders around the course for liability reasons). Feeling the breeze and the size of the seat, and seeing the small pedals and hand throttle was like living history. It was amazing and a thrill. The volunteers running the event were awesome - knowledgeable, friendly, kind and patient, doing everything they could to make it a great day. Only negative was that because we were booked in advance for the special event when we went into the museum we had landed on a day during the changeover of temporary exhibits. I would recommend checking the website for those dates before planning a visit. There are still quite a few permanent exhibits to see and some vehicles had been moved in already but they were missing the written description that are really wonderful on their exhibits.

There are three levels after historically significant vehicles to peruse at the museum. An entire room is dedicated to a interactive model train layout that is both fun and engaging. There are also several examples of restored off road motorcycles to view.

Car Museum Great Harvest Host stop for us RV’ers! The museum was thoughtfully laid out with great backdrops that really showcased the cars. There was an impressive variety—classic cars, buses, motorcycles, and even a large, interactive model train display that was a hit. Easy parking and a fun stop for anyone who enjoys a mix of history, art, and mechanics. Highly recommend!

Great museum. I loved the attention to the surroundings of the cars. I appreciated the volunteer car enthusiasts. My husband is a big fan of old cars. He smiled from ear to ear here!

Awesome collection of real vehicles from days gone by. Currently, there is a special exhibit on station wagons. Three levels of exhibits. On level 3, there is a great diecast bus collection.

Fantastic museum and reasonably priced! All the cars are kept up and cleaned with props and backgrounds, they went the extra mile for this place! Definitely recommend!

Rated one of the best museums in the country! The history there is great and there’s a lot of historical stuff there that people don’t know about.

This is one of the best museums in the area. I like to visit a couple of times a year even though it's a 2.5 hour ride to get there. They have great exhibits which change every couple of months. Currently they are featuring station wagons along with their other great vehicles, cars, trucks, motorcycles and buses. There are many interactive displays and a room with huge interactive train sets. There is a deducted Tucker display with tons of information on the cars, several on display and a recreation of a Tucker dealership. The docents are very friendly and knowledgeable. If you are interested in automotive history this museum is a must see.

July 2025 Quite a unique collection of cars, trucks, buses, and motorcycles on display. It’s a great way to spend a couple hours if you love our automobile history and appreciate the craftsmanship and dedication that forged the bygone era when these machines were powerful and made to last. Some vehicles here are more than a hundred years old and they even have the Forrest Gump bus that Jenny boarded to head to California.

Great experience at this museum. Loved the displays on the first floor with full size sets of the eras. Staff was very helpful and informative. Great selection of cars that get swapped out every 6 months. A lot of fun interactive things as well. Be sure to go downstairs and interact with the diner. Learned a lot.

Went twice in a week. Saturday with the kiddos and Wednesday as a date ❤️ it was amazing. Great for kids. They had a room with trains and the kids loved that. The Gump bus was my favorite and the Diner ? Got some stuff from the gift shop for all of us!!

Stopped in here today and the collection is amazing and very well laid out with a lot of history attached and explained. The staff is very helpful and will answer any questions you may have. I was told They rotate the cause so every couple months there's new stuff there so it's definitely worth visiting again which I will do in the future. It's a nice side piece when you get tired of Hershey Park in general

I'm no car buff, but this museum was a pleasant diversion during our spring getaway. I found myself engaging more than I expected with the huge collection of vehicles. What I really loved was the displays that included related bits of historical significance--like fashions of the time and why they were designed as they were based on the vehicle. There was even a car designed in the 19-teens (I think) for a pregnant woman, with a steering wheel that could slide away, allowing her to enter more easily. The buses were cool to see, too. And if you like model trains, there's a great exhibit filling a room. You can press buttons all along the way to activate the trains and little people.

Love this museum. It’s not the biggest museum by any means. You can expect to spend about 1-2 hours here. The staff was amazing and incredibly helpful. They have three Tucker cars which is awesome! They have Whitney Houston’s Roll’s Royce and the bus from Forrest Gump. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

I went there for the first time about a month ago and loved it so much that I took my son back 2 weeks afterwards so he could see all that history. It's a car museum and an amazing one at that but there's also interactive features which add to the experience. It really takes you back in time...the Tucker wing is a plus because those are rare cars that you don't really see anywhere else. The museum was clean and is very well maintained. If there's enough staff on hand, you can opt to pay a little extra and take a tour of the cars that aren't currently on display...it's well worth the added fee to see additional cars and trucks. There's a decent sized gift shop near the front entrance in case you want to take home a memory of the experience and there's a small vending/cafeteria area downstairs if you need a snack during the tour. I can't say enough positive things about this beautiful museum and all the automotive history that's so well maintained inside

This place is phenomenal! We were treated so well by everyone. We hadn't planned on spending almost 3 hours, but that is exactly what we did. That is even without seeing the basement level, as they were having an event going on. You absolutely DO NOT need to be a car nut to enjoy this place. P.S. if you liked this review please follow me and read the rest of my reviews.
