Quick, efficient, and a fair price. Got inspection and emissions done. Dropped it off early and they had it done before my booked appointment time even arrived.
Dave was absolutely amazing! He was so sweet. I called at legit 7:30 am as soon as they opened because when I was driving my car started stuttering & the famous check engine light came on. Needless to say, Dave got me in that same day and got my car fixed. I appreciate how they squeezed me in & fixed what was wrong. They're kind and very informative ??
I called for an estimate for a service, and decided to have it done. I was then told that the service would be $50 more when I dropped it off. When I returned to pick it was they told me that it would be more expensive because they needed to use more transmission fluid, but they were not going to charge me more because they scraped up my bumper when they were pulling it out. They said that they would call me to schedule that repair in Harrisburg, but that never happened either.
Never go to Meineke , I went there having gas leak under hood they charge me 1335$ . Still having same problem. When I went after a week asking for more money to fix problem. So what they charge me before .
We developed an exhaust leak while traveling for the holidays. The entire team was nothing short of amazing. They quickly diagnosed the problem and were able to source the needed parts and had me back on the road again. I would definitely recommend this shop!
Worst experience ever. We bought a new Jeep and had a death wobble, warranty suggested this place so we took it there. They said typically it would be same day and they have dealt with it multiple times before. The car was dropped off on a Monday and every day we were told they hadn't heard back from warranty, but if we wanted we could spend $1000 on an upgraded part that warranty wouldn't cover but would be the best fix. Finally, on Thursday, after hearing they still hadn't heard from warranty I called warranty and they said Meineke had never reached out or opened a claim. When I called meineke back and told them what warranty said, it was approved in 15 minutes.
The following day, my husband went to pick up the jeep and the part that was fixed wasn't even the part they were begging us to pay $1000 for. The claim opened with warranty also wasn't the same part. We were supposed to receive a phone call from a manager and never did. Either incompetent or scum. Don't trust them
I recently came in to get my car inspected, and I had a great experience. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made everything super easy. My wait time wasn’t long at all, and they kept everything straightforward and professional. I really appreciated how smooth the whole process was. Highly recommend! ?
Was a walk in for an oil change. They were able to work me in, also found an issue with my battery and explained the options to address it. Very nice and helpful!
What was initially suppose to be 2hrs turned into 3 1/2 hrs. Said my 9month old battery needed replaced. Went then to the place that installed the battery and it was good. Did not need replaced. Showed me the test results. Made me think now that my brakes may not of needed replaced.
I bring my car here time and time again. They are great. Honest and I don’t feel like they are trying to ever up charge for anything. My car always sounds and runs great after their work. Would recommend.

This is my go-to shop for repairs in central PA. Trustworthy, reliable, fair price, and didnt try to up-sell or pull any craziness. As a female walking in to an auto repair business, I have had my share of issues in the past, but not here. They were able to figure out my car's problems based off the noises I tried to replicate, and were correct upon their inspection of my vehicle, and checked everything else related to the issue to make sure I was taken care of. They were upfront about the costs, and kept me informed through the entire process. They were respectful and understanding of my anxiety, as I drive roughly 7,000 miles a month on average. I know I'm safe with the work they've done on my car, and I am so grateful to have a great team to work on any of my cars needs. Meineke should be really proud of this shop. Excellent service all around!
Love this place!! I found my car shop finally!! I went in for a oil change and inspection and a alignment. I even had coupons and the nice guy David at the desk so don't worry about those we give you the discount anyway. Also he said we don't do anything we don't think you need and he said I'll check on that alignment for you before I charge you or tell you if you even need it and he did that and it turned out I didn't need it I just needed more air in my tires and that's very rare that you get that kind of service in a car repair shop... He didn't try to upsell me or sell me anything that I didn't need. I also told him that I have about a thousand more miles before I need an oil change and he said no problem he said come back he agreed because I have a hybrid car and they can go a little further than a lot of cars on full synthetic oil. I was just super pleased with the waiting room it was so much fun I didn't even want to leave. They had a really neat TV program called happy TV and it was so much fun to watch they had great magazines and the coffee was just excellent they had snacks and cokes and everything was just clean and nice. I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat go check it out it's the best!!!!
My 3 week old son was in the ICU when what I thought was my water pump going out. By the grace of god got any early appointment the next day.These gentlemen stayed open longer to finish my vehicle. Them not doing so I would have been stuck in Hershey they took care of me and there service and professionalism was top notch. I would fully recommend them to anyone to take there vehicle. Thank you gentlemen
2025 Update 2: After seeing my updated review about the invoice issue, the owner Carl Jackson called and apologized. Once I provided the invoice# which had the incorrect info on it, the information was corrected and I received an updated invoice. Back to 5-Stars.
2025 Update: Changing from 5 to 4-Stars.
I went in for an oil change in May. The owner was not present this visit as he had been in the past. That is an observation, not a complaint. There was no problem with the oil change. I also had great interactions with the young men at the shop. I have been to the shop multiple times and did not think to review the invoice prior to paying.
When I got home I noticed a totally incorrect address and phone number is on the invoice with my VIN. Obviously a customer with the same name. I also noticed I was charged for a tire rotation that did not happen. I specifically instructed that the tires not be rotated. I know for sure the tires were not rotated because the TPMS stem caps I have are labeled LF, LR, RF, RR. I sent an email asking that I be emailed an invoice with my address and phone# as not to have my VIN associated with someone else. I also asked that the tire rotation charge be refunded. No response to my email so I called a couple of days later. Spoke with the person who invoiced me, and was told the correction would be done that day. It did not happen. I got the rotation fee reversed by my credit card company, but I should not have needed to do that. It is now August and I still never received a corrected invoice. I went elsewhere for my State Inspection last month.

Original 2024 Review:
I chose this Hershey Meineke location because I followed the two mechanics/technicians who had serviced my former 1998 Mazda for years at a competitor franchise in Lower Paxton Township. I began going to this location in July 2022 after purchasing a used 2009 Chevy vehicle that had 57,407 miles driven at the time of my visit for a first PA State Inspection. I returned in late 2022 for an oil & filter change, and wheel alignments after replacing the old tires with new ones. Some brake & caliper work was recommended. I declined and no-one attempted to pressure me into having the work done.
Jump forward to my 2023 inspection. I proactively contacted the shop and spoke with the owner to schedule the brake & caliper work to be done at the same time of the State inspection. I was emailed a link to the estimate to approve digitally. I like that feature very much. The cost was going to be a pretty penny, but hey, if the work was needed then it was needed. I was only sitting in the waiting area a fraction of the time I had planned on being there when my technician Zach came in with great news. The brake work was not needed after all. The car had previously been owned by an elder relative who had not driven it for more than two years. The brakes & calipers appeared to have a lot of rust on them. After me driving the car regularly, most of what appeared to be rust was no longer there. Zach did not have to tell me that, but he did, and I appreciate his honesty that saved me a lot of money.
I have had only great experiences at this Hershey Meineke. I have very nice interactions with the owner, the manager, and the technicians. I was just there a week ago for my 2024 State Inspection, and again had a great experience. I do not live in Hershey and there are many auto care shops near me, but I will continue to drive to Hershey as long as the service remains excellent. I will see you Gents for my oil change later this year.

Was in town from Indiana for a wedding, when I got a check light for random misfires on the way. Had the car in a couple days before in Indiana for the same issue but no code and wasn’t able to solve it. The guys here were able to run a diagnostic and figured out the most common issue is a bad O2 sensor. They were able to get to it right away and resolved the issue as my return trip back to Indiana was issue free. Highly recommend.
I had been on the road for nine hours with three more to go when my car unexpectedly broke down. Being in a different state with no local contacts made the situation especially stressful. Thankfully, David was incredibly helpful—he assisted me with contacting a rental company and kept me updated throughout the repair process. His support made a difficult situation much more manageable and helped get me back on the road.
Beware of all Meineke shops owned by Carl Jackson (Hershey & Harrisburg). After my car was “inspected” my oil cap was removed causing oil to spill all over my engine bay. This turned into my car needing professional cleaned by another shop. Carl ensured me he would investigate the situation and apologized for his managers poor customer service in handling this situation. Two months later, Carl has yet to follow up and make things right. He will not return my calls. Save yourself the time and money and go to a trusted garage.
I was out of state when I noticed a headlight out. I drove to the nearest Meineke (without an appointment) hoping that they would be able to help me. Not only did they help me, they were friendly, courteous, and timely. The gentleman that waited on me and the technician that performed the service know customer service. I commend the crew at the Hershey, Pennsylvania Meineke! I drove the 2013 Sequoia. Thanks guys! Don't change a thing.
Service is good, and they’ll do a free diagnosis if not too complex, but prices are very high. Got a quote for $2,000 to replace brake pads and rotors, front and rear, as well as calipers on rear axle. Ford did it for $1,400 after tax and also flushed my brake fluid in that price. They also quoted me $1,600 for 4 new tires and i’m getting them replaced for $1,025 at Costco, same tires
The best shop and team of mechanics you will ever find! Carl, Kris, as well as their whole team, are excellent at what they do and will give you the highest quality of work on your car without overcharging you. Not to mention, they’re a fun group and make you feel confident in leaving your car in their care. Don’t just take my word for it though: check them out for yourself!
Meineke installed my new cat back exhaust in less time than I thought it would take while I waited.
I am very please with their service and the installers were friendly and asked for my input as far as the placement of the exhaust tips, etc.
Thay did a great job and I am very pleased with the work they did.
This shop is about 200 feet from my house. I needed my first oil change since moving into the neighborhood, so I decided to take it in, hoping that the cost and convenience would add up. I'm pleased to report that I had an excellent experience. The team here was exceptionally professional, performed the services requested on time, and the price was quite reasonable. I will return for all of my car care needs!
Very nice Manager! I called for an appointment and he was really nice. Got there for my car inspection and was told it will take about 1h. They were done in like 30 minutes! Also reasonable price compared to other places. He also gave me some discount when I checked receipt. Clean office and nice environment! You should visit for your car needs.
I would have given zero stars for them. I got an inspection there today. The attitude from who looks like the manager or owner was very rude and disrespectful. He wanted to charge me $60 for the inspection. I showed him the coupon I had (attached below), he took a quick glance and said it's $44. Didn't bother asking for my employee ID. I paid it. After I got home I looked at my coupon, the discount should have included the sticker fee and MCI fee, but he charged me extra for those. Why bother advertising a coupon for your own location if you're not going to honor it? Extremely dishonest.
