Now I know why insurance rates are so high, it is because of disreputable companies like this one. On Thursday our car was ran into, Hershey Auto Center was called for the tow. The driver never informed our daughter that she would have to go down to their facility to release the car to the body shop. We found out this fact on the following day, Friday, from our Insurance Company State Farm. My daughter came to your business that day to release the car. But her car didn’t leave your facility until the next week on Tuesday! If we were advised on the day of the tow that we would have to come down to sign a release, we would not have had to wait five days for the car to be delivered to the body shop. Was this your way of racking up more money for storage fees? This is why our insurance is so high in this country, it is because of the disreputable practices of companies like Hershey Auto Center.

Got into a nasty accident driving to hershey Park. Don at hershey auto arrived in about 10 min to tow my car and stored it for a day. He was very nice and insightful. Even helped me secure the car on a dolly I used to tow my car back to baltimore. Thank you so much for the quick response and help!

Had an awesome experience at Hershey Auto Center. Robert and Don were super helpful—got me in quickly and took care of my tire with no hassle. Friendly, fast, and professional. Highly recommend if you need honest and reliable service!

Some time ago I had brought my car to Hershey Auto to have them service my car. It was my first and last time id ever go there. The shop suggested I change my cabin filter. I gave them the ok. Paid for a new filter plus labor. Not cheap. A few days later I had the car into the dealership for somthing else. They asked while it was there if I'd like to get a free cabin filter inspection.. which I agreed to let them do. The mechanic said my filter should be replaced. I told him that's not possible as I had paid Hershey Auto to put a new one in just a couple of days earlier. When he showed me the filter it became obviously clear the old one was never replaced. I brought my car back to Hershey Auto and had them replace the old filter which I had already paid them to do. They did and tried to give me some lame excuse for not doing it. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Only have ever had great and positive experiences here! I trust their work so much. Won’t take my car anywhere else.

Great place for vehicle maintenance and repairs. Communication is always top notch and I have never had an issue with a repair. When they fix it, it’s fixed. I’ve tried a couple other places over the years but now these guys are the only place I take my vehicles.

Took my car over to Hershey Auto to have new tires and an alignment done. I have to say, Donny and his team were great! Not only did they fit me in quickly but went over several in depth different tire options with me. ( I have to say, he is exceptionally knowledgeable.) I will definitely be going back in the future for any work that I need. Car feels great! Thank you again for helping me!!!!

This is my first review ever...but I truly want everyone to know how wonderful this place is. I came in from out of state over a holiday weekend and of course with my luck had truck problems. AAA towed my truck to their shop and we were on the phone first thing Monday morning. They called me every step of the way to let me know what they were doing. And he was able to fix the truck so fast to get me and my children back on the road and get home in a timely manner. I really cannot thank them enough or be any more appreciative for them understanding that I just couldn't be stranded here with my kids. They were so kind and im very thankful for them and their help. I'd give them a thousand stars if I could!

I called them desperate as my inspection had lapsed severely. They squeezed me in and were absolutely wonderful. No surprises, very honest and helpful. I will be back for my future car needs.

We were visiting Hershey for the week and went to go out on friday but when I started the truck 3 lights came on my dashboard. Didn't want to drive home 2hrs on monday so someone recommended this auto shop. We called in friday and they squeezed us in on Monday morning He said they would look at it and hopefully work on it by wednesday So we had to stay a few more days. They called us monday afternoon and said they fixed the problem and car was ready to go. They explained that we needed a coil and spark plugs replaced. Glad to say truck is running fine and we are happy that it got fixed. At least we know in the future when we go back to Hershey we have a place in case the truck ever breaks down again. Donny served my friends and me on a trip from Canada to Hershey. Right around Boston our brakes started grinding and the service here was nothing but impeccable but from start to finish. From our first phone call, to dropping off the car, to the maintenance, to pick up, communication was smooth, efficient, and thorough. He got us what we needed and nothing that we didn’t. We are actually going to use him for annual maintenance, in place of our regular car place at home. 100% recommend.

We were on vacation with the family and the brakes went on our SUV. Hershey Auto Center not only took us that day but completed the job in the same day as well!!! Once we returned home, we had our own mechanic inspect the work and we were advised they did a great job. Thank you so much for your professionalism.

Formally a local we were headed back to Hershey for a visit when our 2001 Ford F250 lost power and the temperature gauge pegged on overheating. We had the truck towed 45 minutes to Hershey Auto because we had positive experience in the past. I communicated with Don the issues and he got the truck in the que. He diagnosed the issue as a faulty head temperature sensor and we gave the OK for the repair. When I picked it up he assured me that they had done a 10 mile test drive but thinking we leaving for home soon he asked me to call when we got home to let him know we got home safe. The truck is working great, Don and Hershey Auto really seem to care that they have fixed the issues. Thanks so much for for the quality work.

We were in town from out of state visiting the park and had sudden severe brake issues. Despite being fully booked, Don fit us in right away and treated us like family! Professional service and very clean shop; it’s obvious they take pride in their work. The shop is close enough that I walked to the park to meet up with the rest of the fam I’d dropped off earlier. After a few hours it was like new. Great experience got us out of a jam and we’d definitely recommend them.

Wow! Didn't even have car parked when service technician asked if I needed help. Yes I did....car hard to start, and I just dropped off family member at medical center for appt. We are 2 hours from home. They promptly got a new quality battery installed and got me on my way back to medical center. THANK YOU!!

Honest and fair auto shop. While on vacation in Hershey our car was having issues. Don and his staff treated us fairly and made helping us get back to our vacation and home safely a priority. We greatly appreciated their help.

I was visiting from out of town and needed brake work. Hershey's was gracious and honest, treating me fairly and affordably even as an out of towner. I wish they were a bit closer to my home. They gave me a ride back and forth from my hotel. They carefully itemized the bill before letting me pay, and had very competitive prices. I highly recommend--it is very hard to find an honest mechanic these days, look no further.

We are thrilled with the service we received at Hershey Auto Center. Two of our vehicles needed work done. We had fast, kind and affordable service completed during a time when so many are taking advantage of others. We will be back for sure.

One stop shop! If they can't fix it than no one can. Don is incredibly honest and treats you as if you are his only customer. The shop is clean and neat and the staff couldn't be friendlier. I have 3 vehicle and I trust Hershey Auto to work on them!! Their approach is "if it isn't safe enough for their own families then it isn't for yours!" this is the impression I get from them and to me that is TRUST! Don't hesitate in using Hershey Auto when it comes to your vehicles maintenance!!!

I typically work with Don, he's been pretty honest , fair, and willing to listen and do what I ask them to for repairs. I've been taking my vehicles to them for minor stuff and would recommend. I do think communication at least from my experience could be a little bit better about when the vehicle is ready or if there's an issue just give me a call and let me know instead of waiting until the end of the work day and me calling for a status update, but that's a minor issue and shouldn't deter from their good work.

The family and I were visiting Hersey from Montreal, Canada and we had a caliper lock up on us. We took the car to Hersey Auto Center and the service was IMPECCABLE! Don (?) the shop manager understood our need was serious. Despite having a solid two days of work lined up in his shop he made an exception and helped us out. This place is professional, the owner is courteous, reasonably priced, and if I lived in the area Id be a reoccurring customer.

I have never met a more helpful and honest auto service center. Donnie has helped me nurse my son’s car through its issues and never gave up on trying to keep it going. And it did!!!! Just an amazing and professional group of guys! Can’t recommend it enough!!!

This past weekend my wife and kids were on their way back from a day trip to Lancaster when their car broke down on the highway. My wife called AAA and they towed the car to the Hershey Auto Center. I cannot thank Hershey Auto Center enough for the assistance they provided my family in their time of need and my wife cannot recommend Hershey Auto Center enough. My wife and kids were supposed to return to NYC the next day and Don made it a priority to fix their car and get them home. And he did so at a very fair price. He kept my wife informed of the progress and clearly explained all of the work he did. He texted her pictures of the problem part and even asked that she text him to make sure they arrived safely back in NYC (which she did). THANK YOU.

Don and his crew were able to repair our air conditioning while on vacation to Hershey. Excellent service and reasonable pricing. The shop is extremely clean and they were able to squeeze is in knowing we were in town for a few days and traveling with a toddler. Thanks again.

I don't understand the negative reviews about this place at all. They have been taking care of my vehicles for 20 years, and they ALWAYS do the job right! Maybe they cost a little bit more at times, but they also discuss your options with you before they do anything, so it's not like they are just doing random work and charging you without talking to you first! The people leaving negative reviews must be used to going to some national name repair place where they change staff every six months and do crappy repairs that don't last. Hershey Auto is a family business that never disappoints! They work on any type of vehicle, and the turnaround time is fast! They truly care about the work they do, and I would recommend them to anyone!

Have taken both my car and my wife's car there for inspections and various other work. Everyone we have dealt with has been very friendly, and their prices are reasonable compared to other area shops. Easy to get an appointment, and great communication/follow-up during any work being done. We've had our cars are area dealerships and other area shops, and this is by far the best and more trustworthy we've been to.

How bad are they? I still hate what I saw after three years! Can I rate them negative! Now I found them online, I have lived in town for 17 years, this is the only shop I know of cheating and ripping off customers. 3 years ago, my car needs to be towed. Police called them, they agree $99, then ask for $299 for weekend charge after arriving onsite, for 1/4 towing. My friend went to inspect his BWW, was told headlight bad, $45 charge. He was skeptical and left for home. After looking himself, found that they unplugged the fuse and even left the fuse next to it. Guess waiting for him to say replace it then plug it in to "fix" him. The owner has a wrong mind set if I can say the least.
