Love love love Maclane’s. The friendliest guys you will ever meet, who know their stuff and will give it to you straight. They’re so supportive, and have even taken care of me while I was at the shop and going through a rough time. Would highly recommend!

Waiting area and garage area and mechanics uniforms clean and in order. Something you don't see at any other garage. And oh yes, the work and care they give the customers is top notch!

I love Maclanes! I always come here for oil changes they have a great price for them especially for synthetic. I always get great coupons in the mail. The mechanics are great and do a great job explaining everything and are so helpful! The guys at the front have exceptional customer service and are always super friendly and kind. I had my transmission fluid changed a couple months ago and I waited for my car and the wait was not long, they told me everything they saw, and my car is doing much better! I will always use Maclanes for my car!

I usually take my car to the dealership, but I have had two instances in the last year where I used Maclane’s. The first was on the fly – I discovered I had a nail in my tire and I was right down the street from them. I walked in to the Thorndale location and they fixed me up and were super friendly and reasonable. More recently my battery had to be replaced and rather than traveling to a dealership, I brought my car to the Downingtown shop. Excellent service to my Acura, and excellent communication and customer service start to finish. My husband has also taken his truck here for several years. We both highly recommend.

McLane’s was wonderful to work with regarding my car. They were upfront with costs and what needed to be fixed. I would highly recommend this place.

I took my car in for my inspection and emission stickers. Of course they want to add a service, drain my brake fluid fluids for $250. My car was at 25,000 miles and it didn’t need to be done until 30,000 miles but they insisted on doing it and since I had the money I just had it done.

The entire team at Mclane's was professional and friendly. We brought in a car for a reconstructed title and they were very helpful. They explained the process, timeline and potential outcomes of the entire process. Everyone was very knowledgeable and the service was excellent! I would highly recommend their services.

I recently brought my 2016 Honda Pilot to Maclane's (Lincoln Hwy location) to have the numerous dash lights diagnosed (emissions, power steering assist, eps, traction control, hill assist...the list is long). Not only did they diagnose the cause, they discovered the issue (injectors) was covered by Honda's ten-year/150k mile warranty, thereby saving me ALOT on the vehicle repair bill. Kudos to Alan and especially the technician who completed the thorough and thoughtful investigation.

First time using Maclane's and couldn't be happier with my experience. Fast, reliable service at a reasonable price with great communication through out the process. Highly recommend.

I brought my car in for an inspection and given its age knew there would probably be at least a couple of issues with her. As always, the team at Maclane's did a great job keeping me informed about the whole process and took their time to make sure any issues were fully resolved. Where I've had other shops that haven't been upfront with me or have missed issues altogether, I'm glad the team here takes their time to explain things when I ask questions and I never feel pressured into getting services that aren't 100% necessary for my car to be safe to drive. As always, they did a fantastic job!

Once again perfectly smooth experience!! These guys truly are the only trustworthy honest mechanics in Chester County, I can’t emphasize enough just how amazing they are!!! I worked for a very well known dealership in the area and I still won’t go anywhere else when it comes to my car….check them out if you haven’t already, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Excellent service. First timer here. I got their information from Citadel. Used to go to the dealership but was always treated like I was being an issue. The service by Joshua is exceptional and very knowledgeable. My car feels like new, very soft. Appointment system is very straightforward. 100% coming back for my services. I will recommend to everyone about Maclanes Auto.

We came in to have a radiator leak checked out but ended up declining the work and using a sealant ourselves to fix it. No problems since. We were charged $101.51 to have the radiator pressurized in order to find the leak. We were rather surprised when the bill came. We were not notified up front of the cost for the estimate. This was only the second time there. The first time we were there we went for an oil change on our older car and received a great price for the work done. I presume they expected us to approve the repair? They also recommended replacing the drive belt because the alternator mounting bolt was loose and misaligned causing it to rub against the belt. We went to another shop for a second opinion. They tightened the bolt, inspected the belt, stated that the belt was fine, just normal wear and charged us nothing. We will go to the second shop for any further estimates. (Update) Sealant still holding! No leaks!

I was so impressed by the customer service here. I recently moved from another state and was nervous about “the inspection.” I came from a state that did not require inspections, only emissions testing every TWO years. My car is also from 2007, and I thought they would find so many things wrong. Everyone was so kind and patient! I decided to wait for my service which was about a 90 minute wait, but didn’t mind because great music was playing. A shout out to the DJ. I did not get his name-but he’s the gentleman with the mustache that looks like the boss. Josh was the person I dealt with the most and he was wonderful at calming my nerves. I passed with flying colors, and was surprised when they said nothing was wrong. I feel that they could have ripped me off, but they were honest and honored my coupon for a discount on the inspection. They have a clean bathroom, snacks, and coffee if you need them. I did not need a ride home because I decided to wait, but they even have a shuttle service if you need to be somewhere and can’t return until later. This native New Yorker was extremely satisfied! Had a really great experience with the Auto shop. My car has been down since November 2024 with other shops giving me the run around including the dealer. I finally had Maclanes take a look and they found exactly what the issue was and fixed it. Not only did they fix my vehicle but they kept me informed every step of the way and had the vehicle back to me in no time. I highly recommended!!! Rob and Alan knew exactly what they were doing and their communication was amazing. They’ve definitely earned my future business for sure. Wish I would have taken my vehicle there the first time so it could have been done correctly the first time. Update as of 8/11/2025 The first experience I had with them was great. I’ve taken my car there a few more times in between and I swear every time i go it’s an additional issue that surfaces. Just got an oil change end of may and in June and twice in July my oil pressure light came on. Took it to them and paid the $160 diagnosis fee and they didn’t find an issue. Now I have a really bad oil leak where it’s pouring out that nobody seems to have seen prior? I should have never switched auto shops. Every time I take it to to them here comes another issue that I didn’t have prior. I plan to follow up with all details and receipts via TikTok

First time using Maclane's. Was looking for a reliable local shop and wanted to have an ongoing, off-and-on sluggish starting issue looked at when everything always seemed to test out ok for me. The technician quickly found an amperage variance which indicated the starter should be replaced. They secured a replacement starter from quite a few miles away, installed, and tested out their work all before closing time. In the interim, they provided a shuttle for me to return home until the car was ready. Everyone I dealt with was exceptionally professional and friendly. Great online scheduling tool as well. Wonderful experience and they'll be my go-to shop from now on.

This was my first time using Maclane's Automotive. I waited to the last minute to schedule the appointment. I was very happy that I was able to get an appointment for the time that I wanted on such short notice. when I arrived there were no open parking spaces. I expected that I would be waiting much longer than I originally planned for after realizing they had so many cars to work on. To my delight my service actually was done in a reasonable amount of time. Everyone I spoke with in customer service was very friendly. They did a great job changing my oil. I always check to make sure there's no spills when refilling and the engine was clean. Overall I was very satisfied with the service. I like to write very honest reviews. Although I was very satisfied with the service and the price I did realize there was a little discrepancy with the way the bill was written up. I had used a coupon that I received in the mail. That coupon Is the reason why I brought my car there in the first place. I know that they're usually are disposal fees and tax so it will cost more than the price on the coupon. I definitely received a discount. I paid less than $45 for a full synthetic oil change. It would be hard to find someone to do it for cheaper than that. If the coupon would have been honored it would have been just a little over $40 after fees and taxes. Like I said I am happy with the price and the service I received. I will bring my car there again. I just wanted to make people aware to thoroughly check your bill. In my case we're talking about $2 or $3 discrepancy. Not a big deal to me bc customer service was very friendly and the job was done quickly and well

I only take my vehicles to Maclane's now. They have excellent customer service. Most recently, Josh went out of his way to get my daughter's vehicle fixed so she could get back to college. Their quality of work and communication/follow up is the best.

I have been taking my vehicles to Maclane's since around 2018 when my truck could barely run. They somehow brought it back to life and with full transparency throughout the process. It was then that I knew I had found an honest and reliable auto mechanic. Maclane's is a place that offers even just a tiny semblance of comfort when the discomfort of a vehicle malfunction arises. The culture has always been one valuing interpersonal relationships and honest work. Alan even provided support picking out my new vehicle which is much appreciated. If you want a mechanic you can rely on in this area, I believe it would be in your best interest to go with Maclane's. They also have warm chocolate chip cookies in the lobby if that will sway you.

After my battery died last week, I called in to see if Maclane’s could install a battery same day if I could jump my car and get it there. They immediately told me to come over and were able to have my car up and running within a half hour. I was so impressed I scheduled an oil change and inspection for this week and service was exceptional from start to finish. I will be using Maclane’s from now on and will recommend them to friends and family!

When my check engine light started flashing, Maclane's was incredibly helpful. They clearly explained the priority repairs and offered options for next steps, which made the situation much less stressful. The work was done quickly, and they kept me informed the entire time. Excellent communication and dependable service!
