I Feel Like My Hotel Valet Just Took My Supercar For A Joyride
I recently bought a used car, and unfortunately, needed a window switch replacement. I read online reviews and based on such little negative reviews, I believed this company to be reliable.
I called days ahead of time and made an appointment, per se. I dropped my car off at 9am and as the hours went on, growing impatient with no word, for such a small repair, at 2pm my mother insisting on driving past, and she saw my car on their lift in the garage, IN the AIR. That is not needed to fix a window switch. So, I called and was told various things about needing to wait for the part to come in, it could take awhile yada yada, and finally was told I could pick up my car "if i want to". And when the part comes in , I can stay with my car because it'll take 25 minutes.

When I picked up my car, whoever the servicer was at the desk (whom I talked to the entire service), proceeded to inform me about the defects of my after-market warranty, after he "read the entire packet" of my car dealership paperwork.
I myself have also read every word of MY packet and pay for the warranty, therefore his words were nothing new to me, just invasive. In fact, I was surprised and happy with how much the warranty covered my bill. I understood what I was getting into when I bought my car, I wouldn't have a warranty if it weren't for the after-market..
What he failed to mention is why it took so long, why I had to contact them for an update after five hours, and why my car was on their LIFT. I do not like to fuss, so I did not ask. I seek honesty and I really don't like me or my car to be treated like a toy.
A charm was moved in my car as well, something that could not have been in their way.
I unfortunately have to continue the repair with Devough Werks because they ordered the part and talked to my warranty company already. But as a first-time customer, I will not be coming back once the repair is concluded. I have lost all trust.
The servicer also insisted on keeping my dealership/warranty paperwork until I come back, "in case they call back".
I was obviously misjudged due to how young I appear. I'm just about 22, looking 14 and this is my third car. I've dealt with a lot of repairs, as this is the newest car that I've ever owned, therefore I am not inexperienced. Much too unprofessional for me, and now I can't even trust online reviews, for such a well-respected online persona? This review needed to be wrote.
I should have posted this sooner but my experience was amazing. I had my gas tank rupture driving down Route 78 West and had to make an emergency pull off into Hamburg. Knowing no one or nothing about the area, I googled, "mechanic" and this company came up. I got there just in time.
They could not have been nicer or more helpful. They immediately jumped in to help and took such good care of me and my car. They even drove me to the rental car company to get me on the road. They did a fantastic job on my car and gave me options with pricing. I cannot say enough about how professional they were and how they made a VERY bad situation turn out ok.
I HIGHLY recommend them. You will be taken care of and will have a great experience. I wish I actually lived there!

I’ve been bringing my 2013 Camaro ZL1 (DREDD [Camaro]) to DevoughWerks for the past 4 years, and every time they’ve delivered top-tier service. Most recently, they installed a solid supercharger isolator and took care of the fluid and gasket work—all done with precision and care.

The shop is an hour drive and worth every minute. Recently had my 2013.5 GLI in for a stage 2 clutch install without a single issue. Their work and customer service was top notch. Thanks again for everything and I will definitely be bringing my car back.
I was referred to this shop by a friend of mine several years ago. I refuse to go anywhere else now! Chris is professional, reasonable, and honest. He has never let me down. Recommend 110%. Work is always completed very fast.
Got the windows tinted here on my new to me ‘21 Elantra. Absolutely fantastic experience and I would recommend this shop to anybody, not even for just tint. The customer service is above par, the nice lady behind the desk was so sweet and helpful, and they even fit me in on 3 days notice as well as answered all of my questions and concerns over text. Not to mention the ceramic tint job they did on my car looks so damn good & professional! Nothing but a positive experience and will definitely be going back to them in the future, Thanks again!
My son and his friends were recently traveling from NJ through Hamburg, on their way to Ohio, when the check engine light started flashing on his SUV, at 11pm. Fearing damage to the engine, they parked at a nearby 24-hour convenience store and were referred to DevoughWerks, by a passerby. After sleeping in the SUV, they drove to the shop as soon as it opened the next morning. Chris was kind enough to immediately diagnose the issue and after replacing an ignition coil and spark plug, they were back on the road, within about an hour. Chris was sympathetic to the urgency of their circumstance, skillful at diagnosing the issue, honest with the reasonable repair cost and thorough at fixing the issue and confirming the misfire was eliminated. I can't tell you how relieved I was and how thankful my son and his friends were, to come across Chris and his shop. I highly recommend DevoughWerks and only wish I lived locally, so I could take all my cars to Chris for regular service and repair! I can’t say this enough, but Chris and his team offer the best experience at a shop I have ever had. I have never left a google review before, but felt compelled to let everyone know this is the place to go. I just started using this shop earlier this year and travel close to 45min for it. The communication, workmanship, pricing and working with me to provide a loaner has been a game changer. I can’t recommend this shop enough to everyone I know, you will not regret taking your vehicles here or reaching out to them with questions. This place is absolutely top notch!
What can I say, the employees there are such a pleasure to talk to about the repairs to be done to your vehicle. The quote I was given for the repairs I needed was fair, I didn’t need to shop around. The quality of the work performed was satisfactory to my standards as I am very picky with my truck. I highly recommend Devoughwerks for any of your automotive needs!

Chris has been my mechanic long before he opened his own place, he does great work, never says you need something you don't (like some places ) great prices and always stands by his work. You want honest great service this is the place....
