I called Courtney because my car wouldn't start in my driveway and told him I needed a new battery as soon as possible. He made it happen. Super friendly guy, quick service. I recommend him.

BEST SHOP EVER!!!! Literally, do not even call anyone else. Courtney is a total mechanical wizard, a gentleman, and incredibly accommodating. He literally moved people around to get my little cars alternator fixed the DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING, while also managing to charge less than two other shops I found. And he comes to you?? I was Absolutely floored and will never go anywhere else for my car needs, period. 🎀

Courtney was very knowledgeable, friendly and proactive. I called him based on his online review scores and he did not disappoint. He did a pre purchase inspection on a vehicle I was interested in. Since I was coming from out of state to buy the car I didn’t want to waste a trip. I was very happy with his service and inspection of the vehicle! Highly recommend.

Courtney was very friendly and helpful when he came out on a Sunday afternoon to replace an alternator and battery (only a day after first contact). You can tell he is fair and knowledgeable right away. Highly recommend. Convenient and timely!

Getting a pre-purchase inspection with Courtney was hugely helpful and a very pleasant experience. Yes he is more expensive but consider the convenience of the fact 1) that he goes to the seller first before you do which is far more convenient then meeting the seller at a dealer and 2) he is way more detailed then previous inspections I’ve paid for with traditional mechanics. He checked every dome light, power lock. The seller independently commented about how closely he inspected every aspect of the vehicle. For me and my wife who live 2 hours out of Portland it was hugely convenient to just drive in and buy a vehicle with confidence that it was a good one. If you’re buying it’s on you to ask questions, shop wisely and select a vehicle that you have a good feeling is the right one, but if you want to know for sure what you’re getting go with Mobile PDX!

Paid about $400 for a prepurchase inspection. No final report with the included pictures and it wasn’t completely thorough on all aspects. No mention of when valve adjustment was done, condition of the water pump, rear shocks, missing cigarette tray broken. The report was just a list with check marks and minimal comments.

I was on a long multi state road trip when the seat in my Volvo malfunctioned . I called mobile PDX to see whether they could come to my hotel to help me out. They were friendly, respectful, and creative in the solution that they offered. I highly recommend them. Now I’m back on the road!

I found Mobile PDX after seeing them recommended on Reddit and gave them a call about a car I wanted inspected in Portland (I’m based in Seattle). I spoke with Courtney, who was very kind and patient with me. He and his son, Lou, went out to check the car within the hour, even though he had originally told me he wasn’t available until the next day. That meant a lot since I was on a tight timeframe and buying this car for my son. The inspection was super helpful. He gave me honest feedback, pointed out that there was really only one issue with the car, and shared a few pointers for how I should go back to the dealership. I really appreciated his professionalism, flexibility, and the fact that he went above and beyond to help me out right away. Highly recommend Mobile PDX!

We live in Kansas and our daughter goes to school at Lewis & Clark College. Her car was having some major issues. We called Mobile PDX today, Sunday of Labor Day Weekend, and Courtney, the owner, went to campus and diagnosed the problem TODAY! Great service and he called us to talk us through the problems and gave us recommendations for solutions. It was a truly great experience and we will definitely use Mobile PDX again if and when needed. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Our car broke down while my husband was out of town. Courtney and Lou were able to squeeze our repair in during an already packed day for them. When coordinating the key exchange, he even came to pick it up from me because he was in the area. This saved me a ton of time during a very busy workday. Even though the repair took longer than expected due to unforeseen issues, he did not charge me more than what he quoted me. They are honest mechanics (which feels like a rarity in this business) that do great work. I would recommend if you're ever in need!

Great service! Worked with my budget and told me everything I needed to hear to help me decide on a car I was skeptical about. Was able to use the inspection to bring down the price of the car at the dealership!

They did a very thorough PPI and helped me greatly through buying a great car! He offered to work directly with the dealer so that I did not have to be present, kept clear communication on what was being done and gave an accurate report. You are really getting what you pay for with this company! Highly recommended - Small business is the place to go!

Easiest mechanic service ever. Courtney and his son worked on my 2000 corolla that isn't my daily driver but I still have around. I feel that they fixed the things that weren't working for a reasonable price. Nice guys, easy to schedule because they just come to you.

Courtney and Lou provided excellent service and are very knowledgable, they helped figure out what the issue was to my truck and gave me pointers/advise on fluid changes since they don't offer those particular services. We even talked about motorcycles and had some good laughs. Thanks so much! I will be calling them in the future with any needs.

What a great honest and authentic person! I really enjoy my time with them as they worked on my Ram 1500. They thought through how to make a quality fix without running up the cost. I had a great experience with Mobile PDX. I was nervous getting a Pre-Purchase Inspection done on a car I was looking to buy, but they really did a great job. I was impressed by their service. They were very thorough and explained up front how they would conduct the inspection. In addition to receiving a list of all checks done on the car, I got a call after it was finished to give me their personal thoughts and what might need to be done. They didn't try to get me to pay for any unnecessary fixes either, something I had heard other inspectors might do. The inspection cost me a bit more than some other businesses may have been able to do it for, but I was impressed with their knowledge and expertise and overall I felt that it was money incredibly well spent. I ended up purchasing the car, and I couldn't be happier! I'd definitely recommend their services and plan on using them again in the future.

Courtney & his team were awesome, they got my car back up and running like new; they were patient and very informative, also told some jokes and we had a good laugh considering the circumstances of my car. I've had my share of car trouble and looking for good mechanics in Portland, so I wanted to share a positive experience I had a couple of days ago. I had an issue with my car and I knew shouldn't drive it, but I couldn’t figure out the exact problem. Since I didn't want to spend the money on a tow just to get a diagnosis, I decided to call up a mobile mechanic. After googling mobile mechanics in Portland for about a half hour, I just chose one that I thought might be good. Turns out it was a GREAT choice. Courtney from MobilePDX came out quickly and helped me figure it out. His flat rate was affordable, and he stayed for a couple of hours diagnosing the issue. Courtney is easygoing and is super knowledgeable. Later that evening, he even gave me a call to walk me through a few ideas/solutions for what could be going on. Then, he went the extra mile and called my main mechanic to explain what he thought the issue was. Turns out, when I finally got my car to the shop, Courtney was spot on with his diagnosis. If you’re looking for a reliable and honest mechanic, I can’t recommend Courtney and MobilePDX enough. Seriously, if you need someone great and easy to work with, give him a call.

I have used Courtney twice now for mobile pre-purchase inspections. During my first car buying experience in 2020 I needed someone to look over a car I was excited about and after doing some research, not only were his reviews promising but I was impressed with how quick the entire process was. Same day, within an hour or two, he was there. He said the car had no issues and he was right - I purchased it and loved the car dearly, never having a single problem. I was recently in an accident that totaled this beloved car and was quickly reminded of how stressful the car buying process is. Searching for options, the pressure of salespeople, and hoping to find a car that fits my needs at a reasonable price — while hopefully finding something quickly to avoid being carless for too long. I remembered how great Courtney was but sadly had lost his number and forgotten the exact name of his business. After some digging I found him! I knew right away when he answered the phone that this was who I had worked with before. He was out looking at my prospective car in an hour (other places all either didn’t answer or said they had a 2-4 day turnaround), and called me with the news that it was a great vehicle. He even walked me through steps to take to correct the few minor issues he found. The relief he gave me with such thorough, timely, and thoughtful service is invaluable — and now I feel excited and confidently able to move forward in this car buying experience. I want Courtney to literally be my life coach and advisor for all things! I found him to be easy, direct, and super efficient. He is good humored and spoke to me with respect and thoughtfulness despite my lack of car knowledge and a lower end car. He provided me a detailed review, gave super accurate time frames and documentation, and even answered a follow up question. He never spoke about others with disrespect or pushed a single service on me. While I may be shopping with some rougher dealers, he made me feel confident about my next steps which is empowering and worth ever penny.

Courtney was amazing to work with. I called and left a message after hours requesting to discuss a pre purchase inspection for a vehicle, and he was very prompt in responding. He ended up coordinating the inspection with the seller and completing the process in less than 24 hours from when I had originally reached out to him. He wrote out a checklist with the major details from the inspection and sent it to me, then called and verbally reported the highlights, potential concerns, additional details, and his opinion about the vehicle, and also allowed me to ask any questions that I had (I live out of town so particularly appreciated the clear communication). I would definitely use his services again if I ever need additional inspections in the area.

Had a great experience using mobile Pdx. Normally I use a different mechanic, but I was lucky. My guy couldn’t get my vehicle in for a week. But mobile Pdx was able to come out the day of calling them. Got my spark plugs swapped out and cleaned out my PCV valve. All within about an hour and half. My car was up and running smoothly. And they came to my location. They kept my repairs fairly inexpensive. Definitely recommend. Courtney and Luke are a great duo who know what they are doing. Amazing job:)

Courtney was the only car inspection company in Portland to answer on the first call. He was very knowledgeable, responsive and available quickly. The dealership was familiar with Courtney and felt he was very thorough. Besides a sticky door, the car has been perfect and I wouldn't have been comfortable traveling 3 hours to buy a car sight unseen without the double check. Most other places didn't even return the call or called to say "no". I'm very grateful to Mobile PDX.

The line he used "Was under promise and overperform" The reason for their 5 stars is the "overperform". 7 of 8 wheel studs had somehow sheared off the divers side rear dually on the RV while driving. On the road and in Cascade Locks, miles from anywhere that could fix it. Ya cant move it, last one could snap. Courtney understood the danger, gave the best explanation of scenarios that might occur, drove the hour+ to us and on the roadside removed, repaired and replaced the rear wheel hub and tires. There was more, he drove with the ladies to the next town to have the tires replaced and to make sure all was well. I was 3000 miles away, in Alaska, from my girlfriend who was driving. All done by phone and a certain amount of trust in a man, his word, and his crew, who may sound a little gruff and direct but who's word is bankable. Courtney and the boys we cant say thank you enough!!!
