Steve's took care of us like we were family. We had $10k invested in repairs with our aging vehicle with the licensed dealership. They were guessing, at best, and lost our trust entirely. I took that same vehicle to Steve's Family Auto and they did a thorough examination. Steve took time to diagnose the problem. After his diagnosis, he also used his valuable time make us well informed and give us all of the facts to make an educated decision in regard to repairing or scraping our vehicle. I am astonished and so touched by the service and consideration we received from Steve's after being fleeced at the dealerships. If you want a true, honest and reliable service, there is no better place to take your vehicle to.
Steves family auto is the best it gets in Perrysburg! They don't pull any tricks on people who don't understand auto parts/prices and offer reliable advice and service. They are dedicated to figuring out what is wrong with your car and won't charge for an inspection. They fixed the AC drain in my new car quickly and charged a fair price! I will be going here for all oil changes and vehicle problems in the future.
There are not enough good things for me to say about this place! I have had two vehicles over the past 10 years that had catastrophic engine failures, and Steve’s not only fixed both of them the right way, they did it at a much better cost than any dealership and most other shops. Steve is one of the friendliest guys out there and rich is also one heck of a mechanic. Five stars for sure

Steve's always takes care of us. Doesn't recommend unnecessary repairs and stands by their work. We've been going to them for years and Rich always does a great job on our vehicles. Definitely a shop you can trust.

Ive known Steve from waaay back. Always honest, hardworking, fair. Definitely feel safe sending young ones, elderly, girls etc to him. He doesn't believe in taking advantage of people.
10/10! Friendly, honest and very fairly priced! They did me a massive favor of installing a new brake kit to my 2019 Audi A5. Had me drop the car off early morning around open, fit my car in same day and got it back to running like new! Thank you, Steve and Rich run a very honest shop. Service guys have smiles on their faces, look happy to be doing what they love to do! Will be back in the future, highly recommend for vehicle maintenance and repairs if you’re local to Perrysburg/Maumee!
My mom used to bring our cars here when i was in high school. I just recently moved backed to the area and was able to have work done by Steve’s family auto. I could not say enough great things!! They are kind and truly care about the customers! They work in a timely manner and always are available for questions. They even helped me out in an emergency situation when i had a flat tire. 11/10 more than 5 stars!
Would highly recommend Steve's for so many reasons. Communication is great, rates are good. They are very honest about what repairs they would recommend (or skip), based on the age of the vehicle, and are always willing to explore other options.
Finally a trustworthy and friendly mechanic shop. I’m a die hard DIY guy and it’s been years since I’ve turned to a shop for repairs for good reasons. Very friendly staff starting with setting up the appointment to checking out at the end of the day. Price was a bit lower than I was estimating as well. Will definitely return and recommend to whoever I can!
I've been a customer with SFA since they opened. I recommend this shop to anyone looking for work as they have always been honest and helpful about work needed on many vehicles over the years. Kind and courteous staff that always are willing to explain things thoroughly and answer any questions too.
I had my daughters car exhaust replaced and they did a great job. It was my first time there and they’re great people. And then, the very next day my sons muffler feel off and I didn’t think twice about where to take it.

Steve is so kind and informative. Really takes the time to explain issues, let me come out to the shop to see the problems (I'm not well versed in mechanics) and detail all of my options. Making sure to prioritize safety over excessive charges and help me develop a future plan of work needed. As someone who usually feels extremely anxious at auto shops, this is the calmest I've ever felt getting my car worked on.
Wonderful work. These guys saved me big time. I broke down from out of town and they helped with everything from the tow to taking me to the car rental. They were fast and very affordable but most importantly honest.
I needed to get my car looked at for what ended up being a brake issue. Steve came highly recommended by my coworkers and they were absolutely right!! He is wonderful to work with, and Rich did an awesome job as well. Car issues always make me super anxious, so Im extremely grateful to have found such a great mechanic. Thank you!!

Dealing with car problems typically brings me anxiety, but thankfully my fiancé found Steve's because he is the most honest, friendly and detail oriented auto repair place we've ever encountered. Everything is explained to you in a transparent way so you don't feel stupid as a non-car person, he works with you on appointments and how to fix your issue and prices are fair. I'll never go anywhere else.
Best place ever. They always take care of me and never try to sell you on more than what you need. They have your best interests in mind. I know nothing about cars but Steve and Rich take the time to talk to my dad over the phone lol. They also squeeze me into their very packed schedule, it is truly appreciated!!! Always a 1000/10 experience and I would give 10 stars if I could.
Brought my car here for the first time and I knew it needed multiple things done, they were amazing from the moment I called to talk to the receptionist, she was kind friendly and warm , and then to top it off , they offered discounts since the price of the multiple things needed was high they were so kind to try to keep it as low as possible and find any savings possible. I appreciate the honest opinions and they didn't try to have me fix everything at once , but were honest and told me what was needed by priority to help budget! Totally recommend this place!
The theme of every conversation I had with them was about saving ME money. I had a quote at another popular mechanic in Maumee and they did the same job for almost half of that quote. Everyone is so nice here too. I remember last year they looked at my car for free for preventative maintenance. I will always bring my car here!
So thankful for Steves Family Auto! They have worked with me on multiple occasions, unfortunately but at the same time, fortunately. They are always quick to help, honest, and very timely. They make sure you understand what they’re doing and they don’t push anything not necessary and give you appropriate timelines for anything that can wait or can be done at a later time but makes you feel safe with the timeframe they recommend you to follow up with them. Every person I’ve ever talked to on the phone there and interacted with has Treated me with respect and has always been kind. I would recommend anyone To Steve’s.
Awesome business. They're honest and they let you know immediately what the problems are. They work with you and are very understanding. Had my water pump and timing chain replaced by then. Car runs just like I got it off the lot at Toyota. Will be back.
I was in town for work and desperately needed new brakes and rotors for my 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan. I called Thursday later afternoon and they worked me into their schedule and had my vehicle back to me by Monday. Everyone I interacted with was very nice and helpful. They charged me a very fair price. I am very appreciative for how accommodating they were and their ability to work me into their schedule so quickly. Sadly, I will probably never use them again but only because I live 3 hours away so I wanted to take the time to write a review so other people will know this is a great business to use.
After being recommended by a friend to have our work trucks serviced by Steve’s we now have our entire family going there. They provide everything you would expect out of a quality shop and then some. Very nice facility, always clean. A friendly welcoming staff that treat you with respect. They do what they say for a fair price and always take time to listen to you explain issues you are having with your vehicle. I am very glad we found Steve and his crew, It gives me confidence knowing my trucks and my family’s cars are being well taken care of.

Our family has been taking our cars here for many years now. We keep going back because we trust them. They are really honest with us about our cars and their needs. For example, today I took in my car and said I was getting a brake fluid light, and that I thought I might need a brake fluid flush, new pads, or both. When I picked up the car, they said the brakes were in great shape, the fluid was fine - but just low. So they topped it off and said that's all that they needed to do. I really appreciate their honesty. If someone wanted, they could tell me something needed to be fixed and I wouldn't know any better. But I trust the people at Steve's.
And when one of our cars DOES need more extensive maintenance, I know they're telling me the truth. Their pricing is very reasonable, too. I feel like they see me as someone they want to help when they can, rather than someone to charge a lot for work that may or may not be needed.
Great group of people. Very nice, honest and hard working. Have come here multiple times for car issues and they always have a great solution and do not rip you off.
