Our car started a nasty rattle on the way to my daughter’s driving test. We brought it to the shop after and Tater (the owner) offered to go for a ride and immediately identified it as a bad axel. Next day the mechanic Doug did replace both axels, but also both ball joints. When I came back he showed me the parts he replaced and explained what had gone wrong with them and why they needed to be replaced.
I’m confidant it was done right and I’m pleased with the price. My daughter’s ready to drive.

Simply the most honest and capable mechanics within 100 miles of their location. If you got a discrepancy with what they say, YOU did something wrong. Been dealing with them for over 15 years. Ive had to eat crow more than once but I don’t believe they know what it tastes like. Save yourself a headache and use these guys.

I've taken both are cars to them and they are upfront about what they can do. The prices are reasonable and they go above any beyond for service.

I took my car in for new brakes and an oil change. It was my first time and last time using them. After I got my car back, the car started making a constant noise coming from my brakes (when driving without applying the brakes). A couple days later, I took it to tire discounters for new tires and asked them to look at the brakes due to the noise. They said that the brakes were not done correctly and had it not been discovered, the brakes would not have lasted long. They fixed the issue for free. We called Tater's Kenridge the next day and explained what we were told by Tire Discounters. They did not care, did not offer an apology, just basically said ok, bye. Terrible experience. Would never go back.
Old school in a good way. It was like I stepped into a time portal to a late 80s - early 90s auto shop.
The front desk was helpful and provided great service. Prices were fair on an oil change a tire rotation that beat local competitors oil change price. They were fast and efficient.
Tater is a great mechanic as well as an honest man. They are also a full service shop; they will get new tires from the AAA tire shop down the street, while the car is in their shop. So you can get a tune-up or something fixed and resolve tire problems all at the same time for a good price.
One of my favorite things is that they will drive the car around to finally hear that noise that is driving me crazy. So often people tell me that the car wasn't doing the bad thing it does when they took it to the mechanic; so it didn't get fixed. But Tater takes the time to find that noise, so it does get fixed.
He loves his job and it really shows in the fabulous work he does.
I'm not from Cincinnati, which means I'm very far from my trusted repair shop. I'm so grateful I found Tater's - my car needed a significant repair, and I couldn't ask for anything more than how I was treated here.
I had my truck in a couple of time and every time they was honest and friendly. The prices are far and so far I never had to take my truck back for the same problems. Thank you kenrige you are true honest shop GOD bless y'all.
I have been coming here for about a year on and off now and the owners are great. Very honest, reasonable people. Prices are good. They are very willing to look into problems, noises, or perform small fixes for free of charge (if within reason of course). Maybe it is because I keep coming back. Anyways, no complaints whatsoever. I would recommend them to anyone and will continue to come back here time and time again.
Very disappointed with Tater! I dropped my car off on a Wednesday. The following Monday, my vehicle still had not been touched. I picked it up on Friday (9 days later)🤤 with a $600 bill and......a big nail in my tire! 😠
He had put a radiator in my car, and charged my AC!
Well my car is still overheating, I took it back to him the following week. TATER and his flunky Frank, were telling me that my car was just old. Previously, my temperature gauge had never gone up that HOT before! Then they changed the subject and started talking about a belt squeaking. 😠 You had my car for 9 days so that should of been addressed earlier! All they kept bragging about was that the AC was 35°!.... BS 💩 DELUXE 💩!! My car still overheats on my way to work @ 5 am, even when it's only 58° outside and without the AC on!!
Ain't nobody feeling 35° AC......because I have to turn on the F-ing heat to cool the engine!! 👎👎👎👎👎

No better mechanic. My car wouldn't start for weeks and I thought it was the starter and once replaced it still didn't start. Tater found out it was wires under my car that needed replaced and I purchased a new starter and didn't charge me a dime for the wire replaced it was all free of charge. Honest man and not once have I ever heard that he'll try to get over on you.
There is NO finer mechanic and man in Cincinnati repairing cars than Tater at Kenridge Auto. He is the fairest and most honest mechanic I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. He won't do repairs that aren't needed just to jack up the bill. One time he thought I had a bad bearing, but when he put the car on the lift, he said it wasn't the bearing at all, but instead a bad tire. Didn't charge me a dime for that. Another time I had a broken wiper blade but didn't have the money, he put a new one on and said to just pay him next time I was in. I had to remind him on my next repair that I owed him for the wiper blade. If you want fair and honest...there is no other repair shop to go to except this one, period!
