Just had all the brakes redone on my 1948 Packard Super 8 Touring Sedan. It stops now! I didn’t realize how bad it needed brakes until the pedal that went to the floor prior, you can now barely push. If you need any type of service, go here and you know you will be taken care of. Thanks Zakira’s team!
I rarely leave reviews but this one is well deserved. First, I checked out the reviews before I came here and a few said Zakira’s is overpriced. I don’t disagree that their rates are slightly more than your average shop but what you get for that additional rate is priceless. I’m a firm believer that you get what you pay for and, for me, I will gladly pay mor for excellent quality — which is always cheaper in the long run.
Now the specifics . . . I have a 1956 Porsche 356 replica fitted with the 1.8 water-cooled Subaru and 4 speed manual transaxle. I was having problems with the engine dying randomly. They quickly found the source of the problem being bad wiring design from the original builder (whom I won’t name but they are a big name in the speedster replica business). Anyway, they went over the issues with me in person and gave me options. Zakira’s rewired much of my electricals in the engine bay and didn’t charge for any parts, covered it all with the shop supplies charge item. They suggested other preventative solutions that I will take them up on my next maintenance.
Their expertise and care for the customer satisfaction is top notch. If you have a special car, go here and ONLY HERE.
If you have a classic or exotic or even restomod, Zakira's is the place to go in Cincinnati. I've had excellent work done there on a vintage MG and a Porsche 993-era air-cooled 911, and always enjoy seeing the other projects they have underway for other customers. They also have some limited storage available, and my Z32 Nissan 300ZX is safely tucked away in their heated shop. Highly recommend these guys.

I took my 1991 Alfa Romero Spider Veloce to Zakira’s for a safety inspection & to check out a few minor problems (check engine light “environmental air”, no emergency brake, power antenna not functioning). I am very happy with the entire experience here. I’ve had the Alfa for 8 years & it has never run better. I especially liked that Alfa parts were used when a replacement was needed. Thank you for the excellent service at a very reasonable price. I’ll be back.
I don't have enough great things to say about Peter, and the team at Zakira's. They are so easy to work with, prompt in their communications and replies, and very fair on pricing. If you have a classic or vintage car, you can't go wrong working with this group of professionals. Our Packard was in great hands. Thank you to the entire team at Zakira's Garage!
Zakiras did a fantastic job. My husband and I had a 1970 road runner that was restored in 2015. In 2024 we were having numerous problems. Not only did they get it up and running, they assisted us in adding (hidden)air conditioning, and getting the old 8-track radio working, with added blue tooth capabilities. Before we picked it up, my husband passed away, and Zakiras assisted me in getting the vehicle appraised and ready for Auction. Pete and the entire team are terrific!
Boooo. Zakiras operates in a predatory fashion. They will charge you $ 30 for fees that don't exist on top of the $200/hr labor cost. They say it's for shop rags and minimal product yet $30 is simply a junk fee to benefit them. Then they will charge you over 100% of the actual cost for parts...these fools attempted to charge me $250 for a $100 Mercedes distributor cap which is the same OEM Bosch cap which I have purchased many times before...they also invented problems which did not exist by stating my distributor was missing parts when in fact it was not Meanwhile attempting to charge me over $700 for a distributor which I did not need. IMO Zakaris does not care about cars or doing right by their customers...THEY JUST WANT THE MONEY!!!!!!BOOO. I WOULDNT LET THEM WORK ON MY LAWN MOWER. Over priced money grubbing company is my experience.
Zakira's worked on my car for 7 years. I can't say enough about how good this shop is. I had a 1988 Porsche 928. From their attention to detail to their extensive troubleshooting I would go no place else. When it came time to sell they also facilitated the auction. From taking care of the pictures to answering all of the bidding questions, it was seamless. If you have a high end car in the Cincinnati area, Zakira's is your place.
I've had two cars come through this place and every time they have done an outstanding job. The attention to detail is top notch and they really do care about the projects they work on. If only every other business I patronize could be as professional as the crew at Zakira's.
Went to three other mexhanixs that were supposed to be vw experts and rgey all sucked. Zakira took care of all the issues. Xar is now turj key. Eric is very helpfull, explains everything, and gets the job done.
Called them twice to have a PPI done on a car I was purchasing near them. First call they took a message and said I would hear back from Brandon in an hour. Very nice person but I never go a call. Second call was a voice mail I left for Brandon to please call me. None of my calls were ever returned. Even if they couldn't or didn't want to do a PPI for me, at least return my calls.
We gave Evan at Zikira's Garage our 1969 Lincoln to evaluate for restoration. The car was special to us since it was my mom's and she has passed away. Zakira's Garage was wonderful in analyzing the condition of the car and was extremely honest with their recommendations with numerous options, including that the car was rather far gone to restore to it's original condition. After much thought, we decided to not restore the vehicle and paid Zikira's Garage a reasonable fee for the evaluation. I would highly recommend this organization if you have a classic car to restore.
I recently took my car to Zakira's for some custom exhaust fabrication that I needed done. The work was flawless, and they offered excellent suggestions to improve upon and execute the rough idea I presented to them. They regularly kept in touch throughout the project. Really strong attention to detail here. Highly recommended.
Zakira's always delivers top tier quality on the work they perform. The staff there are all very knowledgeable, friendly, and always to go above and beyond to get the job done in the best way possible. My family and I have had machine work done there, as well as work performed on both classic and modern tuner cars, and nothing seems to be too big of a task or challenge for these guys. Every time we get a car back, they have managed to exceed our expectations and have left us very happy customers.
Poor workmanship. They will not get it right and will find an excuse as to why it’s not their fault. They replaced the transmission on my 69 Camaro with a transmission they sourced. It leaked and was in and out of their shop for over a year. Still leaking and now I’m told they can’t keep trying to fix it at no cost?
Also was told my steering box leaked and needed to be replaced. They gave me a quote and I had them do the work. At the end the bill was $1000 higher than the quote. Less than 100 miles later the new steering box is leaking (again a part they sourced). I took it back and was told they can fix the leak for the regular hourly price??? They refuse to stand behind the work. I was told on this latest issue that classic cars will leak. If that’s the case why did they have me replace my old leaky steering box for a new leaky steering box.
They either don’t know what their doing or don’t know how to get quality parts(they will charge you like it’s quality). Don't go here!!!!!! Positive posts are a scam
