Went in to purchase a part that was over $300. I informed the associate I was an employee and asked about my discount. He went to search using my phone number and could not find my information in the system. I informed him he could enter my employee number and verify my id and the system would automatically accept it if you are an active employee. He indicated he could not give me a discount no matter what because he couldn’t find it by my phone number. I had to leave and go to a competitor because a worker was very incompetent and didn’t know how or try to look up a current employee. Would not recommend this location to anyone.
My truck broke down 45 minutes from home. Luckily I was a block away from advance auto parts. Matt was the person who helped me. He sold me the correct belt, found a serpentine rental tool I would need, and took the time to print out belt routing diagrams for help. When I had problems putting the belt on he found a local mechanic I could call.

All of the auto shops were booked-out a few days and my truck would not start. I purchased a battery. They came outside and did all of the labor to replace it (which was quite a bit for this vehicle). It was 44 degrees and not pleasant weather. They were kind and professional through the whole process. It was very quick and efficient - they made my day a whole lot easier :)
This location was getting back into the swing of things and then corporate decided to terminate the manager, which is the only person in the store that really had a clue what they were doing.
Staff was friendly. First rep wasn't sure about the part we needed. But another staff member recognized the issue and stepped up to walk the associate through the process and assist us.
This store is the epitome of what people that need excellent customer service, correct parts either in stock or overnight and salesmanship I've seen in 30 years of working on cars. Keep it up!
Don't ever think the ladies working there don't know their stuff. They do and very helpful. All people there are friendly and listen to what you have to say and what you want.
I walked in looking to match a male connector for a sensor on my semi truck and the staff was SUPER HELPFUL!!! Before going here I went to Napa across the street and disappointed big time by their customers service. . .
I am from Wisconsin and needed a battery today while traveling through the Sunbury area.
I worked with Mike. He found the correct battery for my truck. He installed the battery in about 15 minutes. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional.
Went to replace a dying battery, which I already knew was on its last legs from a previous dealer visit, but their diagnostic system said it was fine. Battery totally died 24 hours later, and needed to be towed to dealer, who replaced the battery and fixed a separate problem as well. They could have made an easy sale, but instead they got nothing and I'm out the cost of the tow in addition.
Was told that my parts would be there at 9:00am. Showed up at 9:30am after calling to confirm they were there or would be there. Parts weren't there. Went to lunch to wait for parts to arrive, parts weren't there. Didn't arrive until almost noon. Shot my whole morning when I could have been at work! Spent $800 on parts and no sense of urgency.
I have been shopping for parts here for about 10 years. The staff is phenomenal and very helpful. If you have any questions about what it is you need to do on your vehicle, they will give you advice and help you so that you can complete your project. The prices are also very reasonable compared other businesses
Great service, Martha the young lady behind the counter was very knowledgeable and when the items we needed were not in stock, she had them for us when the store opened the next morning...
Every time I have been in a pinch the manager Mike has been extremely helpful and gone out of his way to take care of me. Fantastic service and I will continue to use this store.
I hate knowing more than the employees but it's not hard to do here. Best bet is to order on line and pick it up in store. The employees really don't know any more than you can figure out by yourself online. If you need auto parts advice there is NAPA across the street.
I shop at advanced a lot and feel their pricing is competitive. This last time I went in though the girl that works the counter gave me attitude and it's not the first time seeing that. Get friendlier service techs or I'll take my business across the street to your competitor.
