We take scrap aluminum gutters here. May not be the best price per pound, but it's nearby. IDC if the guys are "grumpy" or that the pay window is one way glass like other reviewers wrote. I get on the scale, drop the gutters in bins and get paid.
These folks could benefit from dialing back the surely attitude. Condescending, grouchy, act like you're an absolute nuisance for even pulling up. I would be fine with that if it weren't for the fact they pay the lowest price in town

I took motors apart ,which I hadn't done before. Gave me only .10 Cents a pound for the copper. Time for me to look elsewhere to take my remaining scrap.
Have been going there regularly and have been paid decent.
Never left a bad review before anywhere but this place has earned a bad reputation for good reason and I found out exactly why.
Workers were very rude and didn’t want to help. Lazy bums, all of them. Will never do business here again. They hide behind one way glass before they pay too. Cowardly.
I work at a scrap yard and I had a hunk of red brass. About 15 lbs. I know it’s red brass cuz I work at a scrap yard. I told these guys it was red brass . They ignored me the whole time and wrote me a ticket for yellow brass, more than a dollar less. I said something to the moron and he still ignored me
And to top it off the wizard behind the glass threw my money at me like I was a peasant. Everytime I go here, because I’m have to if I’m hurry, I get screwed. DO NOT GO TO THIS SCRAPYARD!! They rob you and treat people terrible. SHAME ON YOU AMERICAN METAL RECYCLING!!!!
Stay as far away from here as possible, grumpy, disrespectful, awful attitude, lacking any and all common courtesy and respect.
The person in particular has fu man chu gray beard almost down to his belt line. I had everything unloaded and his disposition was so bad, I reloaded all the material back in the truck and took it to Berea Metals where I usually take scrap, I thought I would give this place a try only to regret it.
I had a fine experience for it being my first time and didn't know what I was doing. Can't speak to prices and whether or not they pay out well. But the service was kind and courteous, which I appreciated!
Seriously don’t go to this place. They pay half as much as everyone else, in many cases less than half. The staff is also extremely rude and the lady that pays you literally throws the money at you from under the window.
I own a large commercial/industrial construction company and have tried bringing stuff to them on a couple occasions and every time they are rude and pay much much less than everyone else.
They just paid me 9 cents per brake rotor not per pound. I call a couple other places that we use and the lowest quoted me 13 cents per pound. I’m glad I never brought them a large order of metals.

Took metal there for a test run, my first time. I am deaf so let them know I can read some lips- person was rude and did not distinguish any of metals from steel- weighed everything by car load. Glad I did not take too much aluminum or copper to them. Will not be back/ if you have steel, easy place to take it, otherwise not wise to take anything else here. I recommend Berea scrapyard- much more professional and courteous, giving a fair price for anything you have.
It's a good place to take your scrap. If you want more than steel price just separate your stuff! The guys here are very helpful and friendly compared to most places
Great happy people willing to help and answer any question you have this is by far the best place to go they got five stars with me any day ............ They had a good review and a good customer for a few years but nope not no more past few times where horrible

Was very helpful..pricing was very good. I will go back there in the future. Girl inside was very polite. As were the men in the yard. But really miss the guy that had a long moustache and tats. Was takin care of right away. And paid a great price for my stuff.
Employees are great, guy running the show was mad because I called him out on trying to take my metals as steel and not the aluminum (which is a huge price difference) that it was. When I got paid the money was thrown at me. Be careful and don’t let these guys rip you off.
Guy with long beard and tats gave me steel price for electric motors, one being a giant alternator. Took my processors as red brass. Not going here anymore.
Great service... the guys unloaded my truck for me and were reall helpful. The owner himself came out to thank me for my business, and gave me top dollar on my scrap copper. Would highly recommend!
place is a rip off. might as well take your metal anywhere else. they gip you on most things. took 30 lbs of motors and gave me steel price. I take my stuff anywhere else and they are generous about it. had to wait for people to help me and got yelled at aswell. don't take your metal to these thieves.
Very unpleasant. Owner/boss actually yelled to me and said "can't you get someone else to help you". And someone did, he told the the guy he needed him in the office. And finally when my ticket was made they just talked in the office and didn't help.
Terrible! They hide behind a window to pay me 2.7 cents a pound. GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I have been to half of all scrapyards in Cleveland and they are by far the worst! I gave it one star cause I couldn't give them one. All the prices across the board are significantly lower on every metal I have brought there. O and they don't post prices
Big bunch of scammers. They have a big sign on their wall where the cashier is that reads something along the lines of "take care of your customer otherwise somebody else will"... bunch of malarky. They lead you to believe they are taking care of you but really they are hustling you. If you really want to get a good bang for your buck with your scrap metal GO ANYWHERE ELSE. I continue to go to AMR though because they are close to my home, but when possible I often try to avoid stopping there...
