Always fair priced and great job no matter what they do. We really appreciate all the work they have done on our vehicles

I’ve brought my car here a few times and I’ve never been disappointed. 99% of the time it was brought in and finished up same day.

Jim’s is great if you just want your car to work. It’s old, smelly, and the guys are rough around the edges, but I’ve always had honesty and good work and good prices from them. It’s been my go-to for at least eight years now.

Only great things to say about the guys at Jim’s. I took a Telluride in for a check engine light and the team diagnosed the engine burning through oil at a high rate. Mike walked me through the steps of what my next options were for the vehicle and suggested shopping for a newer car rather than dumping money into a new engine. He gave me recommendations for car makes, answered any questions I had along the way, and had his team do a pre buy check to two cars I brought in, comping one of the service charges. All said and done I’m in something newer, more reliable, and with less miles than the Telluride for the same price as an engine replacement could have cost. The honest service I received from Jim’s has made a lifelong customer out of me and my family!

I took my truck to Jim’s shop because it was making an unusual sound. The team quickly diagnosed the issue and took the time to walk me through their findings. I really appreciated their transparency and willingness to show me exactly what was going on. It’s great to find a shop that’s honest, professional, and focused on customer service. I’ll definitely be bringing my vehicle back in the future—thank you, Jim’s shop!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED This is a shop with integrity. It is great to be able to trust your mechanic and know they are telling you the real deal. No gimmicks. They keep my 13 year old econo box car running reliably!

They deserve more than 5 stars. After a rough morning, they came to my rescue, quickly diagnosed my problem with an even easier solution and clear instructions about how I should proceed. Though I hope I won't have to be back soon — it's reassuring to know I'll be well taken care of.

Let me start be saying this place deserves more than 5 stars! So I found this place through a very great friend of mine who knew I was getting bad news left and right from other places. I called and spoke to them about what was going on and they got me in immediately! Then upon arriving my kids and I walked in and literally were greeted like family not customers, I had explained what I was experiencing and what others had told me it was, gave my keys over and was told that my kids and I can go make ourselves at home while they do a thorough diagnostic on my vehicle. Throughout the visit I was informed of every thing along the way and was not left in the dark about anything. I explained of previous work I had done recently and was told that my vehicle had NO issues, I repeat NO ISSUES! He told me that my vehicle was safe and I had nothing to worry about! The fact that so many others quoted me thousands of dollars in repairs and then I bring it in here and I had 3 mechanics thoroughly look it over and say that I have NOTHING wrong was Gods answer to my heartfelt prayers! I have been telling everyone since yesterday about this place because everyone deserves an honest mechanic! I am so thankful i found them and so thankful they made us feel like we mattered! I cannot say enough good about them! Thank you so much for restoring my faith in a mechanic! You have a customer for life!

Been coming here for years and always had a great experience. They will safely and thoroughly repair your car at a very reasonable cost. They stand behind their work 100% too. Highly recommend.

Rude, had to ask for a receipt and then my Bluetooth and phone was no longer paired. Of course, the rude counter person denied any wrongdoing. Claimed knew nothing about Bluetooth. Lastly they left that filthy sheet protector in my car which I had to take out.

Did a walk in just to see how big their backlog would be. The guy behind the counter asked what was going on with my vehicle. I explained what was going on, citing 3 different times what I was positive the problem was. He went immediately dismissive and told me I was wrong and it was most likely another thing. Very, very rude and condescending. Took it to another shop and surprise! It was exactly what I had said it was going to be. I wonder how many people are getting scammed by this pompous guy.

It is very difficult to find an honest auto repair shop that knows what they’re doing when it comes to automotive repair. Jim’s is one of those shops. I am in Alaska and my daughter is in Stow OH and after hearing the details of both Jim’s service and pricing, I’m certain she found a shop she can trust that WILL NOT take advantage of her. Jim’s pricing for the same repairs was about $300 less than a local Subaru dealer. I only wish we had a shop like Jim’s close to me in Alaska. Keep up the good work!

I had a great experience at Jim's. My hood latch broke and I had an intermittent over-heating issue on my Ram pickup. The folks at Jim's quickly diagnosed the overheating issue, and had me back on the road the same day. Diagnosing vehicle issues is hard sometimes, I felt like they accurately found and fixed the problem and I did not feel like they were trying to up-sell me on anything. Its not flashy or fancy, but they know cars, and do good work. I would recommend them, and will go back to them in the future.

This shop did a great job taking care of our family and getting us back on the road. We were traveling from NY to KY when our wheel bearing broke. We have a newborn and a 2 year old with us, we picked Jim's based on other reviews and we're so glad we went there. We got to the shop 45 minutes before they closed, they took a look at it and order the part just based on hearing it. My husband took the car back first thing in the morning when they opened and they had it fixed within 2 hours. The staff were all friendly and helpful, let my husband see how bad the wheel bearing looked… The price was more than fair considering the urgency of the situation. If we lived in this area, we would be customers for life. Thank you so much Eric, Mike and Tim!!

Knowledgeable, Trustworthy, and customer forward! Had an issue with my 2019 Jeep Cherokee. Called Klaben who told me that my vehicle was no longer covered under warranty. Went to Jim’s who diagnosed and determined that this was a drive train issue and should be under warranty. They coordinated with another local dealership who determined I was under warranty!. The other dealership was able to accommodate me and make the repairs at no cost. Saved the customer money and went above the call of duty!

Did a great job replacing my oil pan/gasket. They are nice people also. Lyft app was not working for me because I barely use it and they gave me a ride home after I dropped off my car to get fixed. Definitely recommend them!

Mike was super helpful and all the work done from Jim's Automotive is incredible. Our car is an '09 and after taking it in for a check up, they fixed a whole laundry list of things for an extremely fair price. It is basically a brand new car, it drives 10000x better, plus I feel much safer. Never going to another shop as long as they're around, highly recommend!

When our previous auto shop suddenly closed, our family was forced to find a new one. Jim's has now serviced all 4 of our vehicles and we have been very pleased with the quality of service and price. Mike (Asst. Mgr) has been especially helpful at servicing our daughters' vehicles whenever they are home on breaks from college.

I, my wife, my father, mother, stepson, stepdaughter, and my son have all been going to Jim’s for at least the last 7 or 8 years. We lived in Stow but recently moved to the North Canton area. Even though they are 30 minutes away, we still take our vehicles there. I think what we like about Jim’s is the small town/family ownership aspect to the business. My grandfather owned a small service station for 40 plus years from the 1950’s to the 1990’s in Indiana and I used to work part time on weekends in school, to make extra cash. Jim’s reminds me of how my grandfather ran his business, a people business. Make people important and the profits will come. They seem to operate on a motto of do not fix it if it ain’t broke. Just had my ac compressor replaced about a week ago and then the accessory belt was making noise, took it back yesterday, they did a repair on it, but the squeak came back. Today, they replaced the belt and they cut the belt cost and removed the labor charge since I had to come back in for a second visit. I didn’t ask for this, but they did it to make it right, they didn’t ask for a review, but I felt it was good to let other people know what they might expect. The right way to do business. In my opinion there are three types of car owners. Do it yourselfers, New Car every three years and folks like myself that keep 5–15-year-old vehicles and drive them till the wheels fall off. Yes, owning a 5–20-year-old vehicle means more trips to the repair shop, but the repairs are never going to exceed the exorbitant expenses one has by the 2021 average new car payment of $563.00 per month. I’d rather take my vehicle to a local repair shop and save some money. So do yourself a favor and give them a try. If your vehicle is out of warranty and you don’t want to pay rip off dealer costs, give Jim’s a try. I have found them to be fair, transparent, and open. I like supporting this kind of business which is hard to find. The corner repair shops that aren’t franchised or dealer owned. I can give you several examples of how they treat customers fair. A friend of mine from High School (a million years ago) had his daughter at Kent state last winter. He was 400 miles away and his daughters rear brakes were having issues. He called a dealer they wanted about 900 bucks, I advised him to go to Jim's and they took care of the issue for 300. He was so pleased that he said he would take me to dinner to thank me. He was so worried he would be taken advantage of but they treated his daughter fairly. My father went there last year asking for all 4 wheels to be balanced, they only charged him for 1 wheel to be balanced because the other 3 were fine. You know the big dogs would charge all 4 and not think twice. My wife went in for a transmission fluid change a few months ago due to owners manual recommendation and they looked at the fluid and said it was fine, wait there is no need to do it yet. How many shops will do this? Customer comes in thinking they need to buy item X and they advise against it (saving the customer money but doing the right thing). These are the reasons we keep coming back and keep referring people. I give these examples so you can see they aren't always trying to upsell folks for things they don't need. A small business that still operates the way my grandfather did business, put people first and allow word of mouth and reviews to refer more business. Keep doing what you are doing Jim’s

First off i would like to thank Mike and Eric for squeezing me in to their schedule even though they closing soon and being so nice and welcoming. They took care of me very quickly and efficiently and i would 10/10 recommend to anyone who needs work done on their car at an affordable price with hard working mechanics. I needed a wheel alignment done and they fixed it in less than 15 mins. Thank you guys so much again. I will definitely be coming back for call my car problems.

These guys were great! Eric and Mike were amazing, no beating around the bush and their prices were far better than the commercial competitors. What I was initially quoted by a major chain to fix my AC was going to cost me thousands. Eric said that the fix was simple and not initially the issue I was told,by the chain store, and going to cost less than 400.00 to fix. They’re honest, fast, super friendly and will be taking my vehicle there from here on out. Thanks guys

We are new in the Stow area and my husband said go to Jim's, after calling around other shops. He spoke to Eric Davis, the manager, and found him to be knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Thought I had an oil leak and called Jim's; Eric said "come out and we'll take a look". Found out my car's OK. Billy Denham checked the car, and didnt find an oil leak. I was not charged for Billy's expertise time. Very good customer service from both Eric and Billy. So glad we found an automotive shop that is honest and close by.

I had the worst experience possible dealing with Jim's Automotive shop. I took my work van in with a check engine light error code. I knew exactly what the code was and asked them to replace the bad sensor indicated on the code. They called me with 3 other "problems" they found. I was told that the first "problem" was the issue and they did not think the sensor was bad at all. Well turned out the cars computer was correct and they had to replace the sensor anyway. So I was charged almost double what I was quoted and had a repair that was unnecessary. Wait it gets better... I drove less than 5 miles the next day and notice the engine fan kicking on oddly and then the temperature was climbing fast. I stopped and noticed that antifreeze had started leaking from the vehicle. While this shop was repairing what did not need fixed to begin with, they cracked a casing attached to the engine that housed a vessel for antifreeze. Then they claimed it couldn't have been them and it was just a case of bad luck. I was looking for a reliable, and honest shop in the stow area that I could take my work vehicles to. I absolutely did not find it in Jim's Automotive. I could not have been more disappointed in how I was treated at this local shop.

I was in Stow for a destination wedding this past weekend, when my car wouldn't start. Jim came to the hotel to check out my car. By the next morning, he had fixed and ready to go! He was very helpful and honest, and his price was much lower than I was expecting. I 100% recommend Jim's Automotive Shop!

Just picked up my SUV yesterday, after having it repaired at Jim's. I am very pleased. Jay was great to work with and explained everything that needed to be done. It was finished when promised and when I was unsure if I'd be able to get a ride back to the shop to get my car before they closed for the day, he offered to come pick me up, which he did! Thanks!

Highly Recommend!! I've taken my car a few times to Jim's and have experienced great service every time. They're upfront about the cost and time it will take to get the job done. What they quote you is what you pay! I had to get a front axle replaced and even though it took them longer than expected, they didn't charge me more than what they originally quoted. When I took my car in for a slow leak in a tire, they said it would take 20 minutes tops where Conrad's said it would take an hour or more! When they discovered that the leak was just a faulty valve cover, they replaced it and didn't charge me a thing. Great and trustworthy shop to take your car to!
