This is a great beach and perfect shark tooth hunting spot. You must have access to base to get to this beach so crowds are minimal and parking is plentiful. Great views and lots of pretty seashells!

Our favorite beach in the area! The grands enjoy splashing in the waves and I love searching for shark teeth - we spend hours here relaxing and playing.

Always nice. Not crowded because it's on a military base. Almost like a private beach.

Not too packed for a base but the best part is the PX has beach related items not just a typical exchange and they have a dangerous smoothie machine where refills are only 1$ after you buy the first one for 3. If you brought additional adult beverages that would pair nicely.

The beach was very clean. Shells were everywhere and so many shark teeth. I even found this amazing large one. I was so excited. I love the fact that there is a special section you can take your dogs to. It is a very beautiful area.

If you come to angelo beach to know that it is aboard camp lejeune. So you must have base access in order to get to it. There is a marine mini mart as well as bathroom and shower facilities. A very nice place to bring your family or just come and relax for yourself. You can take a nice stroll down the beach, collecting seashells and sea glass.

Love this beach! Located on Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base, best shark tooth hunting on the east coast in my opinion!!

I love Onslow Beach. Back to nature. Not built up and nasty. You have all you need here with the three S. Sand, sun and sea. Amenities enough to be comfortable. Peaceful without gnarly traffic and noise.

Bathrooms, showers, picnic tables - a dog friendly beach area further down. Must have a military id to access - great finds & lovely beach.

Marine Corps installation beach. Need access on base to get to this sweet beach. Fortunately I'm a retired Marine and my kids and I love coming here to hunt shark teeth, fish, and shells. I love that it's not packed and access is very limited.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The tide was fun to look at, the water was warm, lots of shells, shark teeth, and the sand feels soft.

We love this beach. I can't say anything about bathrooms, they're always locked when we've tried to use them. Their Facebook page usually has surf (flag) conditions posted and messages about turtle nests. The beach is usually not crowded whenever I go (12-1600, 17-2000). Exceptions to note being summer and holidays. During the school year you can expect to have the beach mostly to yourself. Occasionally, there are fly swarms on the beach and more often than not the beach is very windy. After high tide and storms is a good time to scour the beach for nice shells and teeth. You can check Surfline (online or app) for tide times. And people like to fish here, watch out for poles and lines.

Onslow Beach is probably my favorite place to be. We go to play, look for shark teeth, shells, & occasionally Mom gets to go by herself to relax. The beach is clean, and we have never had a problem with other beach goers. Everyone has always seemed to be pretty respectful of us and our space, and we do the same. The weekends can get pretty busy, but we have always found a spot. It's very convenient to have the mini mart there, and they have added showers within the last year to rinse off.

Beautiful, clean beach with rarely any crowd. There's life guards, pavilions, and many miles of clean beach to go on. Military only, great place to find shark teeth and shells.

Onslow Beach is not open to the general public, but if you know someone who has a base military ID card.

My all time favorite beach, It’s located on Camp Lejeune and not open to the general public. But if you can get access it’s a must! I love that it’s safe, clean, and they literally have everything you need. Bathrooms, showers, changing room. There’s a huge shaded deck and sometimes during the summer there’s live music. The MGX is a super short walk for any snacks. The beach itself I’ve never seen crowded and we’ve always found great sharks teeth. I love it here.

It's phenomenal to have a beautiful beach like this on base and less than 20 minutes from our offices. It does a great spot for an evening walk after work and great hangout spot during the weekends. It gets packed during the weekends so arrive early to find a good spot. You can also rent some nice houses to spend the night and you have a MCX on the spot.

This is edit to first review. Staff was wonderful and the experience would have been great if cabin was handicap accessible

Have had some nice visits here in the off season and it was quiet. Love that the parking was so close to the beach. It seemed like the building with bathrooms was out of order when we were there which was inconvenient. Found a few shark teeth and lots of shells.

Nice beach for waking along the breaks and looking for shark teeth. You’re not going to find piles of teeth here, but you should be able to find a few. An adjacent mini-mart sells snacks and drinks during conservative business hours.

My husband and I live 20 minutes away and we love it here!! Shark teeth are everywhere, as well as really pretty stones!! Being on base, it’s not touristy besides families coming to visit, and I’ve never been when it’s overcrowded. There’s lot of beach access and parking areas, lifeguards during the day, so we’ve always felt like we could enjoy ourselves without being uncomfortable! Highly recommend coming if you can!

Great place to go with the family. Kids, stroller and wheelchair friendly. I enjoyed bike riding in Onslow Beach.

Only open to Military. Excellent campground with full hookups. Campground does not have Oceanview but our site had view of the canal. Surf or canal fishing there but I didn't bring my gear. I bet there are Blue Crabs in that canal but don't really know. Mid range on price for a Military campground but the beach is in walking distance. Nice, clean restroom and shower. Key card for the restroom but the lock on the men's room door is broken so key not necessary. Coin laundry on site. There is an MC Exchange store there but closed during the two days we were there. I needed to drive 7+ miles each way to the MCX gas station market for ice. We enjoyed our stay. Fifteen years ago we rented one of their ancient mobile homes that were beachfront. Those are gone and replaced with nice looking two story cabins. Some noise from aircraft and landing craft but that is to be expected.

Love love love this beach. Not crowded. Very clean!! Went there when visiting my Marine. My dog was welcome & I kept her on her leash so we were decent beach goers following the rules. NO BATHROOMS!! Plan accordingly if you have kids!!

I can and do spend the day here. Plenty of Sea shells to find. Not crowded just a great place to go and spend time with family or just to get away to yourself once in a while.

Fossil shark teeth are all over this beach. Hunting for them has become a new hobby while walking in the sand. Many are small and difficult to see.

Love coming here! Very peaceful. Miles of clean pristine beaches. Not very many people come here and you feel like you own the entire beach all to yourself. Very pretty to watch the sunset here.

What a gorgeous place. There is a nice bathroom facility, and rentals available for equipment. The sunset here is gorgeous, and the people are nice. It is a beautiful place to get away and give your mind some peace for a while.
