Place is terrible. Bought a Silverado and they damaged the truck with the loader. Watched the operator hit my vehicle with his forks on his loader. Front bumper was damage, radiator was damaged and the power steering cooler was damaged. Gotta love a poorly ran facility with incompetent employees.
Very disappointing experience. The older gentleman with a white beard and heavier build was extremely rude and unprofessional, not only toward customers but also toward his coworkers. His behavior created a very negative atmosphere and ruined our visit. When I tried to get help from the other employees, he wouldn’t even allow them to assist me.
On the positive side, the rest of the staff were kind, polite, and respectful — but unfortunately, this one individual overshadowed all of their good work. Management should address this issue to ensure that professional, customer-focused staff represent the business.
I been doing business with other branches but this Asheville NC branch is terrible I bought a SUV from them the front tires was flat and battery was dead brought the vehicle home got a new battery replaced it came to realized the vehicle transmission was bad I called them day later let them know what happened they told me when the vehicle leave the lot they are not responsible for it but the description says that the car was running and drive now I don’t have money to replace the transmission I am stocked with the vehicle.
Had an extremely difficult time selling my car to IAA. I was connected to them through peddle. I was given a window of 12-5pm the first day for them to come and tow away my car. I had to call them several times and finally at 4:30 they asked me if they could reschedule for the next day. I had already explained to them that where I lived had no cell service and I had to sit in town in order to get their calls/updates - they said they would still come that day but I sat in town until 7pm and nobody ever came or called. The next day they actually sent a tow truck driver to pick up my car - he met us and asked us to move it to a better spot and we did but then he just drove away without talking to us! Finally on the 3rd day a tow truck came and managed to pick it up and pay us. It was a long frustrating 3 days.
Horrible customer service. Rude employees, They lost keys to run and drive car, I was responsible for getting replacement. Converters missing when picking up cars. Sawzall blades in their parking lot.
This branch is nothing but a SCAM!!! The manager Sonya, extremely rude & will treat you like a criminal. We came to pick up the truck WE paid for! Come to find out the transmission and drive shaft was out of it. The harness was hanging down. The truck was nothing like that in the pictures! There was nothing in the notes saying transmission was missing. Since it was about to be 5:00 she didn’t care. All she wanted to do was go home. She called the cops & was going to try & get us arrested for trespassing ? what a joke! Other buyers save your money so you’re not donating it to their pay check!!
Buyer beware! Will look for any way to screw you. Stay away. I hate it forces me to give 1 star.

I’d give a minus 500 stars if I could. Completely incompetent at every level including but not limited to employees. You see pics of a car online, bid, win, pay on line go to pick up and the car and it is damaged (wasn’t damaged in the pics) Manager didn’t care said oh well too bad, called corporate same excuses and lies! How can we all bid if you can’t post pics of the car in its current condition I mean did it fall from a fork lift post pics being taken??? I mean how can one explain this to me?? Well IAAI can’t!! It will cost more to repair this undisclosed damage than what We paid for the car. Complete rip-off
Selling misrepresented vehicles, I bought a salvage truck here with no run and drive wrecked and hood stuck. They brought it out missing the transmission totally different than the pics driveshaft gone and wiring harness and exhaust hanging where it was removed and made me leave because it was not a run and drive and the manager says it didn’t say it has the transmission on the list. Why did it not say missing transmission on the notes? I will never buy another vehicle from IAA I over 500 cars I bought here over 10 years. Thanks Sonya
Worst place of business. Workers are rude and condescending. They are run by con artists and untrained employees. I recommend never stepping foot near this place. They damage cars and Parts are suspiciously stolen or cars suddenly no longer running after arriving. Run far far away from this place.
Nice people! My car was taken here after totaling it in an accident and they let me go through the car and get all of my personal items. I had called ahead and they had my car towed to the entrance so it only took 10 min.
A ripoff the good cars with clear titles are saved for dealers only the gate fee will kill you along with other hidden charges sure wish Kings is back in business to the General Public
This is the absolute worst public auto auction EVER! My account was hacked and someone bid online with my account and they are still holding me responsible. The bid was won for 550.00 bucks; and before I was made aware they wanted me to pay almost 2,000 dollars. I called customer support and they said I had to pay the renig fee of 5000.00 or 40% of the sale price, which ever was greater. I'm having to obtain court orders to make them remove this vehicle from my account so I can close it. Do NOT spend your hard earned money here; the fees are ridiculously high. My goal is to alert the big insurance companies and for them to stop doing business with ALL IAA locations. Geico has received many complaints too. There are so many more public auto auctions out there that take care of their customer's.
