This is an interesting business if you are looking to save money or buy a project vehicle. There is a huge inventory on the lot and they have a buy now or auction.

If you make an appointment at specific time expect to spend here over an hour to get your car loaded, also good luck to get in touch with them over the phone

The slowest car chargers I've ever seen. 06/16/25. My appointment was at 10:00 and it's 1:45 and I'm still waiting.

Very rude response when trying to find out why a driver picked up an aftermarket garage door opener along with a set of keys for a vehicle to be towed. When I questioned why because there was no reason to do so, I was told I would have to drive to pick it up or pay to get it mailed back. I was blamed for having the garage door opener near the keys.

I tried to explain to these people multiple times that I tried to pay for the vehicle that I won. However, had issues with the payment and someone finally told me that it was my address. First couple of people were nice about the issue, however, whoever Maria is if she even gave me her real name treated me like utter garbage and claimed “ we don’t do refunds at this lot” even though it was clearly an issue with Copart. She also tried to rush me off the phone claiming her manager was too busy to talk to me about the issue. I’m highly upset, and will be complaining about the worker who answered my call, and this lot further. There also are plenty of reviews stating some of these people are rude, so I have no idea why they are still employed here and representing Copart. It’s very dehumanizing to let the people who represent you treat your customers like they are bothering them when it’s YOUR just to help me.

Got all the way to the lot and couldn’t get in because of failed residence verification. When asked why I failed it. It was due to an IP mismatch. Despite the fact I got the membership and uploaded the documents on my phone using a local cell tower. Uploading new documents would take a day to process so that was a wasted trip.

The lady at the front desk was very very rude in the three of the four times that I ever spoke to her she did not ever initially look at me. She spoke while looking away from me. I was there trying to give them thousands of dollars for something that they’re making thousands of dollars off of And to be treated like that is unacceptable. I spoke with the manager she did help me out, but she also still charged me a $20 fee for paying with a cashiers check. Very very disappointed I have talked to many truck drivers who say done Copart is by far the worst Copart to go to on the entire East Coast and every time I go, it ends up being true

It was like going to going to the northern dmv with tooth ache.i went there to be nice and no one said hello . To be fair there are signs every where . Saying " the humans in here are rude and brains are off. Look people in the eye nothing . I actually called and some one in the room responded to me . Glad this is something that I never really have to deal with

You give them a clean title, and they listed as a salvage title, you give them Salvage title, they listed as a clean title, that really socks

My vehicle was picked up by Cedar Creek Auto Repair. Eric was the driver who I had contact with via phone and in person. This young man was polite, kind, courteous and patient. There were a couple of issues that made my car more difficult to pick up adding an extended amount of time to completing the pick up of the vehicle. Eric handled the situation like a true professional. I wrote service in the car business for many years and have dealt with hundreds of tow truck drivers. He not only represents his company very well he also represents Copart very well through his excellent customer service skills. Great customer service is so rare these days. Huge shout out to Eric!!

Been dealing with Copart since 2016. Been to a lot of them in the state. Since Covid, staff has changed at this location. Not for the better. Office manager was so unfriendly, I thought about just walking back out. If you do not have customer...I repeat customer service skills, I don't care how much you know or how long you have been with the company, you should not be dealing with the public. Rude to say the least. Barked at me for walking in without scanning the door app. Mind you not a freaking soul waiting in parking lot or inside. Car was not a run and drive as even a toddler would know that. I brought my last one from this location until something changes.

A note to all of you infrequent auction participants. I recently bid and won a car at auction. After paying for it, my account was suspended. Why? I didn't have the appropriate paperwork in. I was to told I should have checked the app. Well, I used the app everyday for a week before the auction - no messages. Called customer service, found out what was required and sent vi email. Response 2-3 days to process. As for the car, it I don't pick it up in three days I get late fees charged. They said go to Copart Transport App and schedule... you guessed it, can't use it or schedule since my account was suspended. Makes me wonder why I paid them within an hour of the winning bid. This is bureaucratic madness - I can't even call the local site directly and arrange for pickup. BE AWARE - THEY ARE NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY!

I bid at auction and bought a $425 suv from this place. There were so many middle men that my out the door price was $1370 for a no title, no bill of sale parts only vehicle. The Raleigh location is actually south of Dunn, North Carolina.

My boyfriend and I just bought a car from this Copart location and had the absolute worst experience! The wait to get the car was around 4 hours then to make matters worse the car had been listed as a run and drive and wouldn’t even turn on and had more damage than the pictures had shown. This is highly discouraging and I definitely do not think we will be buying from this location again.

I have been here for almost an hour to turn in a title of a car that has been totaled. According to their kiosk I was going to have to wait 32 minutes and now it's saying that I've got to wait another 15 minutes so I guess that means another hour. I tried to call before I came but they don't care to answer their phone I don't know why they have a phone. I guess I'm stuck this time but I will make it my point to never have to come up here again. If you have any kind of life that you want to get back to stay away from this place.

Customer service is extremely rude, if they hear you are minority they will talk to you like trash. I am waiting for title 4 months they got mine a week ago and still not shipped. They give me attitude I call too often.

I was really impressed by the customer service here. I bought a car this week using an online broker, and it was my first time buying from an auction like this. The women inside were very kind and helpful, while the young man outside took his time to help me find my car. Unfortunately I didn't catch either of their names, but don't hesitate to do business with these folks! Thanks again!

It’s evident that yard staff are working hard here. However, a new system needs to be put in place. I and many others waiting over five hours for our vehicles to be brought out. If you’re going to pick up one vehicle expect it to be an all day process. It’s exceptionally unpleasant. Pack a lunch and a lawn chair.

I've been to a couple Copart locations and both have been a good experience. But you can't just show up and think your car is going to magically levitate to you. CALL BEFORE YOU GO. I mean at least one hour before you get there. They are super busy all the time. Call to confirm your car is there the night before as well. Most of these bad experiences people have are due to lack of foresight. YOU ARE GOING TO SIT ON HOLD. Get over it. It's the nature of that business, they will get to you as soon as you are next in line. The staff is helpful and down to Earth. If you just put some planning into your visit, you will most likely have a great experience at this location.

Extremely pleasant first time buyer experience. The staff in Raleigh, especially Jessica were very helpful and courteous. The sub lot in Lumberton were very helpful as well. The whole experience was very positive, I won the bid, paid, and picked up the car within 30 minutes. This was a great way to find a solid easy rebuild for my son who is going off to college. I would recommend Copart to anyone.

I was involved in a wreck two days ago and USAA notified us that our car was moved to this location on Wednesday. I called this location to confirm that I could stop by and gather personal belongings from the car on Thursday and was again told, this time by a Copart representative, that it was dropped off on Wednesday and that I would be free to stop by any time. Upon arrival, we were told that the car was in the lot and we had to wait 45min for it to be brought back to the front. Upon inspection of the car, I found several items to be missing - a car charger, a Fitbit w/charger, and a book. I brought this to the manager's attention, as clearly someone on their staff had stolen these items, and the manager proceeded to lie to my face. He stated 'the car just got here a few hours ago and never entered the lot so none of my guys could've taken it'. Excuse me, but we were told from multiple sources, including one of 'your guys', that it was brought in yesterday. *And* we had to wait 45min while it was towed up from the lot! I told him it was clear he had no intention of being honest and handling the situation but that someone on his staff was taking advantage of people who were in a hard situation by stealing things out of their wrecked cars. TERRIBLE experience from start to finish. Tell your insurance company that you would prefer another third party to hold your car if you have the option. These people are THIEVES.

My experience was not the best, unfortunately. They failed to pick up our car, which was stuck in an impound lot, on the first day and did not contact me to say they wouldn't be coming; I had to contact them to find out. I then scheduled a second pick up and was assured by a very impatient employee that a driver would 1) contact me 2) arrive between 1-5. After waiting for an hour (all the way to 5pm, when the office closes) and with no contact from the driver or the office, I assumed they had bailed a second time. I returned a few days later with a new carrier to get the car only to discover that the Copart driver had arrived after hours and taken the car from the lot. Again, Copart gave us no notification of this at all. In the end, we were able to get the money due to us, but along the way they caused us significant headache. They also cost us money, since the car had to sit in the impound lot longer, and since I had to drive all the way to their office in Dunn to get the check I was supposed to receive. Judging by the size of their office and lot, they do loads of business. Maybe my situation was an anomaly, and maybe some of their employees were having a bad day. Everyone does once in a while. But that resulted in a poor and exhaustive experience for me.

Very friendly and helpful staff in the office. Loaders were very helpful and didn't have a bad attitude like I've seen in some other locations.

Inside staff is nice and easy to work with but the whole place is poorly managed and slow. They need to update their process and/or hire more people most days to get loaded it doesn't matter what time of day you show up you wait 2-3 hours or longer to get loaded. Loading at any other place you can be out in an hour or less
