Its inspection time and today turned out a good day for it. I called and messaged, and I received a call and a message that I missed. At the shop I asked if they were inspecting today and one of the guys said to pull in!! Very pleasant, good inspection with a very good turnaround time. I noticed the shop had its clientele. Very good shop, I’ll be here for my inspections!! Great people with good service! Highly recommended.✌?
I called ahead and was told no appointment was needed for a car inspection. When I arrived, I was told to wait in my car and that someone would come out. After 20 minutes, no one did. I then called and was told the wait would be over an hour, and that leaving would mean losing my spot. This was not communicated upfront. Very poor communication and unpleasant experience.
In a world of people, you cannot trust, you can trust moyak, automotive. They take good care of me in my suburban. What a blessing they are. i'm so grateful. It's worth the drive, no matter where you live in Virginia or Carolina.
Have used Moyock Automotive for over 25 years. They give great service and great prices. A great local fair family business. Jeff and Dean along with their other family and workers always treat you like important customers and give you the best service.
Had a tire puncture when visiting from out of town. After exhausting all the options with the franchises who were going to have to order the tire at a ridiculous price, I stopped up at Moyock Automotive and within 20 minutes and $25 later they were able to plug the tire and on my way I went. Honest and knowledgeable!!!
Hands down best shop not just in Moyock but that i have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. If you want a honest diagnosis please go here! They will never recommend anything that's not actually needed! I brought my wife's car there and they found out she accidentally put it in 4 low gear and that's the only issue. No charge was given and they politely explained the issue to me. Didn't belittle because I didn't notice that simple issue. I'm so lucky to have this mechanic shop in my home town!

Google should give an option for 1,000 stars because no one deserves it more than Moyock Automotive. One of your tech there saved us 1500 dollars by giving us some outstanding information about a warrantied repair that no one else wanted to tell us about. Thank you again!
Always have great results. Fair and honest. I have one complaint. My grandson picked up my tires for me today, he said everyone was cool except the older guy who i assumed was to load the tires. He said he had a attitude from the get go ,told him wasn't going to load them. My grandson was going to do it anyway. So the issue is with him, no one else there.
The owner was incredibly helpful when our 2018 Nissan started acting up. We live in Hampton and were nervous if we could make it home. We truly appreciate you taking the time with us and explaining everything to us about our car!
I go here for NC inspections once a year.
They're always cool, polite, efficient... I've never waited too long. You just pull in, flash your various lights, honk your horn, pop your hood, and wait about ten minutes while they do the inspection.
I can't speak to their repair services, as I have never used them to repair anything... but I can say confidently: they will get you in and out quickly for a NC safety inspection.
Call ahead and they'll tell you how many people are in line. It's about 20 minutes per car.
Came from Virginia Beach Needed a last minute inspection a tint removal they didn’t even charge me to remove the tint!! Everyone in here is very friendly and they even stayed late to make sure I was able to get my last minute inspection done!
I have taken my van my to Moyock Auto since we moved here 3 years ago. I have always been very happy with their services. Brian is always very helpful and communicates all services done to my car. I will continue to use Moyock Auto for all my car services.
Great place for mechanical repairs. Honest estimates for cost and completion time. They take responsibility for their work. The only problem is because they are good, it is harder to get on their schedule, but you are a priority if there is a hiccup. They are my goto place even though they are not close to my home.
Love this place. They are ALL very nice, honest and respectful. I feel the owner treats me like family every time I go in and is never after my money. I also really appreciate that he is always trying to educate me on properly maintaining my jeep. Highly recommend this place.
It's hard to find honest hard working mechanics you can trust and these guys are 100% that. They will go above and beyond to make sure everything is fixed correctly without overcharging. They also go out of their way to work with your schedule and fit you in when you're in a pinch. 100% recommend them!
I brought my suburban in for a last minute(late) inspection. The tech ( I believe that was also the owner) was able to get me right in and finish the inspection in no time. He was also help and kind and gave me a few pointers from experience about my vehicle that I should watch out for.
Just don’t get your vehicle inspected here. They hit me on tint, I spent $500+ getting the tint legal, then waited over 4 hours just to get the tint looked at again. If there was a line, I would have understood. But I watched several drop offs get done while my 5 minute was passed up over and over again.
Ended up getting it finished somewhere else.
Been going there for a few years. Great people. Honest and they know their stuff. Having another car headed their way Monday. Truly trust them. It's worth going from VA to NC.
Brought vehicle to Moyock Automotive for my annual inspection! Guys were extremely busy with other customers, but were very hospitable! I chose them due to their past reputation and I was not disappointed! Very laid back shop & very impressed with their service!
We were driving from Maryland to the Outer Banks with 2 dogs when our car started to "shake" and the check engine light came on. We pulled over and were given directions to Moyock Automotive to get it checked. When we pulled up the shop was extremely busy but they took the time to diagnose, order parts and repair a spark plug and coil. I cannot possibly say enough good things about Moyock Automotive. The owner Jeff repaired our car himself while we waited with our 2 dogs in the waiting room and had a friendly and engaging conversation with Dan who ordered all of the parts. Later that evening, Dan even called us to make sure everything was running smoothly. We were overwhelmed by the quality, professionalism, efficiency and all around friendliness we received and what turned an unfortunate break down into a genuinely great experience. Moyock Automotive is truly a business that not only cares about its own clients, but is equally caring to two strangers from out of town. Thank you once again to Jeff and his awesome staff.
Truly appreciate the fast work once they got to my car! This business is one I keep coming back to as they take care of the customer and do quality work. Friendly office mgt and you will never see these employees not working when you show up. Busy yet very efficient! Appreciate them very much!
This definitely is the place to take your car for good service. Other auto places would of done their usual, charged me for something I really didn’t need but not this Company. My air conditioner wasn’t working and I thought after the diagnostic check I would have to bring it back to get the problem worked on, instead they fixed it right on the spot by replacing a few things and I was thrilled. Very friendly staff and their price was very reasonable. Go see them if you have a car problem, you’ll be pleased!
Quick service, even when I didn't have an appointment, and all the workers there were very friendly and knowledgeable about any questions I had. If you need service or just a quick run in for something, definitely give them a call.
Jeff and his fantastic crew really helped me out today with a difficult situation with my truck! I was out of town and stuck with a very complex issue and they sat down figured it out and made me a priority. I didn't have an appointment nor have I ever met these fantastic guys before today but thankfully they were there in my time of need, good people exist & these awesome mechanics are at Moyock Automotive!
Love these guys!! Jeff, the owner, is just an all around good guy!! I've been getting my vehicles inspected here for over 15 years. They are very good, honest people & I know I can trust them to help me keep my family safe while we're on the road.
As far as wait time for inspection... The most I've had to wait is about a hour, but usually it's way less!!
If you are looking for a place to have your car worked on this is it. Jeff quickly pit my car up on the lift checked out my problem. The parts I needed were not in stock but by lunch the next day the parts had arrived and my car was back on the road. The guys at Moyock Auto were very helpful and got me back underway quickly.
Jeff and his crew helped me out big time, I really needed my vehicle as it is our only means of transportation. He figured out the problem, worked quickly to find the part, Dean actually worked in the parking lot in the dirt to change out the part. Got me back on the road for a very fair price, all in a day!! So thankful to have an honest, fair group of mechanics in Moyock that we can count on!!! Thank you guys!!
