This review is solely based on my experience with Joe Carpenzano.
My husband dropped his car off on Thursday, the day before Valentine’s Day, and we were told it would need to be kept overnight. Before I spoke with JC, we weren’t entirely sure why the car needed to stay through the weekend, so of course I called for clarification.
Once I got on the phone with Joseph, he was truly a top-tier, platinum representative for Jeep Cherokee. He went over everything in detail, explaining what needed to be done and answering questions I hadn’t even thought to ask yet. He completely eased my frustration about being without a car for the weekend. His communication was clear, professional, and reassuring, and I’m truly grateful for that.
I will say that a couple of times when I called, I was left on hold longer than I would have liked. Additionally, my husband felt that communication from one of the other representatives could have been better.
That said, Joe left a very positive impression on me. In my opinion, he went above and beyond to explain the situation and make the customer feel comfortable.Feb 17, 2026 -

I am extremely disappointed with Central Ave Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, both the sales and service departments.
On 2/26/25, I purchased my 2022 Dodge Durango after leasing it for three years. The used car manager assured me that everything would be repaired on the vehicle, yet only the tires were replaced. My brakes are still squeaking. Out of frustration trying to deal with the things promised to me when buying the vehicle and informing Marco in service about the squeaking brakes, I did not return to have the brakes addressed.
On 11/11/25, I had an oil change performed on the vehicle. Less than two months later, on 12/31/2025, while driving on the highway, my vehicle started smoking. There was NO oil in the engine and NO antifreeze. We pulled into a nearby Valvoline, and the antifreeze immediately started gushing out. The technician observed that the engine oil was in and mixing with the coolant and brought the vehicle straight to Central Ave’s service department.
Their diagnosis was a failed oil filter housing — which is a known defect on Pentastar 3.6L engines that consumers like myself are unaware of. They replaced the oil filter housing and the radiator all under warranty. My vehicle sat in their shop for 15 days with NO loaner provided until one day before they called to say it was ready. When I finally received a loaner on 1/13/2026, I had to provide a credit card for a $250 hold and the vehicle had no gas. They called the very next day to say my car was ready. I picked it up on 1/16/2026.
Within days, the vehicle started smoking again and I smelled antifreeze. We checked the oil — there was none. We checked the coolant reservoir — oil was again mixed in with the antifreeze. I returned the vehicle to Central Ave. Again, no loaner was available.
A few days later, Rosemary called to say the vehicle was ready and that nothing was wrong. She claimed the technician drove it 20 miles, yet the check-in and check-out mileage were the same. I was told the oil in the coolant reservoir was just “residue” and sent on my way.
On 2/6/26, while driving home from work, the vehicle jerked and the check engine light came on — something that had NEVER been an issue before these repairs. I immediately contacted the dealership and brought the vehicle back on 2/11/26. Rosemary had an attitude because I had left a negative review. She specifically referenced that I gave “her” and not the dealership a zero. I was told to wait for Service Manager Jack. I sat for nearly 3 hours, and no manager ever came to speak to me. I was later told Jack was not even there.
They diagnosed the issue as a thermostat and stated they would charge me a “goodwill price.” They refused to acknowledge that this issue could be related to the prior oil filter housing and radiator repairs — repairs that were covered under warranty. The check engine light was never a problem until AFTER those repairs.
Service notes show they flushed the coolant four times to remove oil contamination, yet oil remains in the system. Instead of accepting responsibility, they are attempting to charge me out of pocket for additional repairs tied to the same cooling system they worked on and saying it is not covered under warranty.
The customer service has been unacceptable. Rosemary was dismissive, condescending, and completely unconcerned about the ongoing issues with my vehicle. I left feeling frustrated and unheard. Today i ended up taking my vehicle to another Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership for a second opinion.
Between purchasing what now feels like a lemon with a known engine defect, having an oil change less than two months before a catastrophic oil/coolant failure, and experiencing repeated service failures, I am only 10 months into my financial obligation and already dealing with major engine-related repairs and poor treatment.
I would not recommend Central Ave Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram based on my experience.

Have never had an issue in the past but my most recent experience with service was horrible. Was contacted about a recall and asked if I wanted to make an appt via text. I did and brought my car in a few days later and dropped it using the key drop since it was before they opened. I received no calls during the day regarding my car. At the end of the day when I called to pick up my car, I was told my assigned service rep was gone. He had not communicated with me at all. The woman who answered the phone had a major attitude, and told me my car wasn't ready. And that it had a coolant leak that my service rep had spoken to us about ( we never received any calls). After a long back and forth I was told my car was not ready. I called back again shortly after hoping to speak to a service manager (also gone for the day at 3PM) and spoke to a very nice woman this time, who was very apologetic but was told the recall takes at least two days to fix (no-one ever mentioned that). When I asked to take my car since it was unlikely being worked on while service was closed I was advised against it. Annoyed, I left my car there. About 15 minuted after hanging up around 4:15, I received a call from a third person letting me know my car was ready. Service closes at 4:30, making it difficult to get there in time. They assured me they would stay open so that I could get my car. Thankfully, they did. The last of communication was irritating and a huge turn off. I won't be using Central Ave for service again and will go back to another local dealership for service.

I've been a customer at Central Ave. Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram for almost 10 years and Rosemary Aviles has been the kindest most professional service advisor that I've ever dealt with. Extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and a real people person. If you ever need to have your vehicle serviced she's the right woman for the job. Absolutely amazing!

I purchased my vehicle in 2024 and have been coming here for service ever since. My service manager, Rosemary, has been excellent. She stays in constant communication, keeps me updated on the status of my vehicle, and clearly explains what services are available and which are not. The pricing has been fair, the service team is efficient and quick, and the overall experience has been outstanding.
I would recommend this dealership to anyone. I wouldn’t go anywhere else—every time I leave, my vehicle feels like it’s brand new. They are extremely accommodating, and Rosemary truly is an angel.Feb 03, 2026 -

Their service was efficient but expensive. Because my car was over 10 years old, I figured I'd go to the experts first to see the full diagnostic of what I need done. The repairs for the car that they quoted was way more than the car was worth. They also failed at letting me know I would have to keep my car there until the next day as something occurred with the mechanic or part they put in. Couldn't get me a loner vehicle but they did note they would reimburse my Uber expenses. Point to be made.. only come here for your oil change and any other work should be done with the street mechanics.

We helped our son purchase his first car at Jeep this past weekend and Jimmy at Central Ave Chrysler made it the best and easiest experience ever. Buying a car can be so stressful but Jimmy took all the stress out of it. My son is so happy with his purchase he got the color and the car he wanted and they worked with with him on the price to where he can afford it. My whole family have jeeps and we wouldn't buy them anywhere else.

they deserve less than1 star. maybe -10. Some people should be dismissed in this dealership. Sales people should be fired and management as well. They screwed my credit rating by not doing their job. But the Attorney General is just as bad for not pursuing the case. I will never do business with this place again. they screwed up and never an apology they would just hang up on me. Service department is amazing. it’s amazing you don't see this post or the other bad reviews. I believe Central Avenue Jeep should be investigated. If they did it to me they had to have done it to others and they probably don’t know what to do and they get screwed!!!

My experience at Central Avenue Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had at any dealership.
From the moment I walked in, I was met with rude, dismissive, and unprofessional behavior. There was no greeting, no courtesy, and no effort to make a customer feel welcome.
Rosemary, the service advisor, spoke to me with an extremely condescending attitude, as if she were doing me a personal favor by even acknowledging me. She avoided eye contact the entire time she spoke, rushed through the interaction, and showed zero interest in listening or helping. Her tone and body language were disrespectful and unprofessional. Someone with this attitude should not be placed in a service advisor role where customer interaction is the primary responsibility.
When I checked in, I was handled by Umar Khan, whose attitude was just as bad. He immediately spoke to me in a rude and impatient tone. He asked if I had ever been there before, and when I said no, he demanded my driver’s license and made me take it out. After I complied, he didn’t even look at it. There was no explanation given as to why it was needed. This felt unnecessary, dismissive, and borderline disrespectful—especially considering I was only there for a basic vehicle inspection.
There was no professionalism, no clear communication, and no respect shown throughout the entire process. Simple customer service basics—eye contact, polite tone, explanation of procedures—were completely missing.
I drive a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and this was my first and absolutely last time ever visiting this location. If this is how new customers are treated, I can only imagine how returning customers are handled.
This dealership clearly has serious issues with staff attitude, customer training, and management oversight. I would strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere unless they enjoy being spoken to rudely and treated like an inconvenience.Jan 05, 2026 -

My recent visit for service and a mirror replacement on my Ram was one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I have had with any service department. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that my scheduled appointment meant nothing, and the level of communication and professionalism I expected simply was not there.
I arrived with a confirmed appointment, something that should guarantee at least a reasonable wait time and some kind of acknowledgement or update from staff. Instead, I was left sitting in the waiting area for over three hours with absolutely no communication. Not a single person approached me to explain the delay, apologize, or even give me a general idea of what was happening with my vehicle. It genuinely felt like my time, my presence, and my appointment were completely irrelevant to the team working that day.
If the shop was running behind, that would have been understandable—delays happen. But the issue was not the delay itself. It was the complete lack of communication and courtesy. A simple call, text, or quick explanation when I checked in would have made all the difference. Instead, I sat there, watching the time tick by, with no idea if the wait would be another 10 minutes or another three hours.
What made this situation far more stressful was the fact that I had my two-year-old child with me. Anyone who has ever had to wait somewhere with a toddler knows how important it is to plan around their needs. If someone had simply told me, “It’s going to take about three hours,” I would have immediately taken my child home and come back later. Instead, I was stuck trying to manage a toddler in a waiting room for hours with no updates, no time estimate, and no consideration from the staff.
The lack of communication was disappointing on its own, but things got even worse when the mirror finally got installed. The part that was put on my vehicle did not even look new. A new replacement mirror should be clean, clear, and free of smudges, fingerprints, or marks of any kind. Instead, the mirror they installed had visible smudges and imperfections—so much so that my broken mirror looked cleaner than the “new” one they provided. After sitting for hours past my appointment time, the least I expected was a new part that actually looked new.
Seeing a supposedly new mirror in that condition made me question the dealership’s quality control, their handling of parts, and their attention to detail. If something as simple and visible as a mirror arrives looking used or mishandled, it raises concerns about what else might be overlooked.
By the time they actually began working on my vehicle, the entire purpose of having an appointment was completely defeated. The installation itself may have been done correctly in the end, but the overall experience was already ruined by the lack of communication, the extended wait, and the condition of the replacement part.
Customer service is not just about completing the job. It’s about communication, respect, and professionalism. None of those things were present during my visit. I was left feeling ignored, undervalued, and extremely frustrated. No customer—especially one who made an appointment and arrived on time—should have to sit for hours without even a basic update.
I left the dealership feeling deeply disappointed and dissatisfied. My time was not respected, my concerns were not addressed, and the replacement mirror did not reflect the quality I expected from a professional service department. This experience was simply unacceptable, and I expect far better in terms of communication, organization, and attention to detail.

The entire process of leasing my truck was smooth and quick. My salesman, Leif Johansson, was genuinely honest in answering every question. If you’ve ever bought a car, you know some salespeople can say one thing and mean another—but that was not the case here. I truly appreciated the honesty and respect I was shown. I had a very bad and deceptive experience with Toyota Universe.
I agreed with salesperson Carlos Rodriguez on a total price of $35,000 for my car, but later the dealership increased the price to $45,000 without my consent — and then added financing interest based on the $45,000 instead of the original $35,000.
The final cost became over $56,000, which is an unauthorized increase of more than $21,000.
It has been three weeks and I still haven’t received the car’s paperwork or title.
No one from the dealership — including Finance Manager Remy Braddock — is answering my calls or helping me resolve this issue.
This is unfair, deceptive, and potentially fraudulent, violating U.S. consumer protection laws.
I strongly advise others to be very careful dealing with Toyota Universe.

I’ll be honest if I could give this place zero stars I would but it’s not possible.
My friend leases a Jeep and has two open recalls on it that she has been trying to have fixed for the last three months however, Jeep has not been responsive to letting her know when the parts would be in in order to fix the recall notice. Her inspection was up and the two places we brought it to said that the recalls on the car wouldn’t allow it to pass inspection so we called the service department and waited on hold for over 10 minutes two different times just to make an appointment yet there are 6 people working in the office (not sure why the wait time is so high) :/ After waiting an obnoxious amount of time we were able to make the appointment for today. After dropping the car off at 7:30 in the morning and telling them I was her ride and we would need the car by the end of the school day (which was mentioned the day we made the apt on the phone) and to have someone call us when it was ready - SHOCKER NO PHONE CALL WAS EVER MADE telling her the car was done. Thankfully we didn’t hold our breath all day waiting for a phone call back which never came!
After witnessing her experience I will never go to this place for a car nor would I recommend this dealership to anyone I know or care about bc once they have your money they DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS.
She wrote a letter to the owner about the poor phone etiquette and professionalism which once again was not answered NOT A SHOCKER.
I hope this review helps anyone that has been led into thinking they will value your business! The way to keeping a customer is making them happy!

If I could, I would give more than 5 stars!! The easiest and most pleasant purchase ever. Guy, Jimmy and the whole team were exceptional to work with. Responsive service, they guided me to the right car for me. I highly recommend them for your next vehicle. I should mention that I love my new car too!! I didn’t realize the 3 row Grand Cherokee is exactly what I needed. A really nice move if you are leaving a minivan but still need the room. My kids are happy too. Thanks guys!!

I brought my car in to be serviced. After about a week in the shop they called me saying a loaner had just been returned and I could pick it up if I wanted to. After two days of driving the loaner they provided, I went to put something in the drivers side door cup holder, and saw a small plastic bag filled with a pink powder substance (resembling drugs). I immediately called Jaira (the employee who gave me the loaner) and reported it to her, along with sending a photo. She said "omg that's crazy" and said she would tell her manager the next day. Two days later I picked my car up and requested to speak with a manager, Jaira said there was no manager available. Andrew (a manager) then asked what was going on. He had nothing to say. They told me my car was ready, and when I got in, I saw they left a box full of random car parts in my back seat. Andrew called me after leaving, and told me he was going to call me on Monday with an offer before I decided to report the dealership to corporate. I never got a call on Monday, so I found another managers contact information on Google named Johnathan. I emailed him regarding what happened. He called me and his first response was "Did you return the box of parts?" As if that was the main issue at hand, not the fact that they provided a loaner car that had a bag of drugs in it. He went on to tell me that I had no proof there was drugs in the bag because I didn't test it. This place is a joke and has no regard for customers or the services they are providing. I didn't want to get anything out of them but for them to actually take the situation serious and take accountability for their negligence. Not a single person there cared about the fact that they not only exposed me to an illegal substance, but also could have put me in legal jeopardy. If you want to risk getting charged with possession of drugs that you didn't even know you were possessing, this is the dealership for you.
Side note, they also put completely wrong information on my service records documents, and when I went to get it fixed, they refused to fix THEIR screw up, so thanks to them I have service records on my car with incorrect information listed. They put my personal address as 380 Saw Mill River Road, Elmsford, which is the address of Tasca Jeep.

I Just bought my first Jeep compass from Chrysler Central Avenue Yonkers and I couldn’t be happier!. Jimmie was my salesman and he was incredible—knowledgeable, patient, and truly listened to what I needed. They were awesome. They treated me just like I was their family. They threw in lots of deals with my Jeep. The best car dealership I have ever dealt with! I have been leasing for 15 years and I never had such an easy worry free experience in my life! Nico was amazing! He delivered on everything he promised and answered any questions we had with such knowledge and patience. Even when it came down to the finances part, Nosh was awesome and made us feel so comfortable and not pressured into anything else we didn’t want.
