The clothing was affordable but the high racks were too high and there isn't a lot of space to walk around with a small stroller. But it's clean and the vibes are nice.

Be mindful retail employees are bias and condescending in a children’s environment

Always find a great deal here. I wish more of the wealthy parents would sell here because I would love some more high end brands to choose from. Such a gem of a place to shop at. The manager is extremely nice! ?

This store appears to have a decent offering of secondhand clothes and toys, however, it is not a good place for selling stuff. I brought brand new customized Converse sneakers in the original box (worth 120 dollars) and other new items that didn't fit my daughter along with games and toys that were in excellent condition yet they paid less than 40 dollars for all of the items combined. Inside of the bag of rejected items were the empty shoe boxes, they didn't even bother disposing them in the store. Overall, a very unpleasant experience.

Different rules every time you go there, they selling strollers with mold on it, or broken toys. Yet you drop things off and it's like. We can't take it is missing pieces or nope there is a stain.

I frequent this shop every the months while in the area for a doctor's appointment. A few years ago when I discovered this shop it was a gem! The clothes were used but top quality. No stains or rips, no heavy wear. I visited 3mths ago and I noticed a big change in the quality and the condition that they are excepting clothing for resale. I figured it was because all the good things were already gobbled up and I had just had bad timing. I returned again yesterday and I was thoroughly disappointed! I will not waste my time at this location again. The racks were full but the clothing choices were slim and they are carrying a lot of Target/ Walmart quality clothing which is fine if they were not heavily worn and or stained! When I shop at a place like this, I'm going on to get quality brand name, gently used items at a discount! Slim to none on the pickings! FYI... i'm not one to buy used shoes but if I were it definitely would not happen here!! The shoes are very worn and dirty! If I had to scrub them before someone could wear them I wouldn't buy them! I hope this is a phase this shop is going through but I won't be making any further visits here! Not worth my time. ***One thing I noticed and I'd like to add is they do carry a lot of baby items... bassinets, strollers, pack n plays, bouncy chairs things of that nature. I've never had a need to purchase those things but if I did in the future I would check them out for those types of things!

This children's thrift store was such a surprise. It is very clean and organized. The staff is friendly and courtesy. There are so many clothes and an amazing section of toys....please stop by and save.

I like that you can show up without an appointment to sell your items. Friendly people working there. I like the b2g1 for books. Don’t sell to any of the locations if you’re looking to recoup money. Items that are originaly say $40 a piece I had found for $3. A brand new item for $64 I purchased for $4. So don’t expect more than a few dollars per item. I mostly go for the books and big toys lol. Wayyyy better than the Paramus location. They are so rude over there!

Went there to sell several babies and toddlers toys and other items. The place was busy but very organized. You log in at the front desk and give the guy your items, and they will text you when your quote is ready. If you are a family member or as we are grandparents with grown children, go there and you will be satisfied

I love this store. They always have so many options for my baby girl. The staff is amazing too. The manager Cristina helped me out when selling some of my daughter old items and she was such a sweetheart.

The staff who work at this location can be very unpleasant. They also come to work dressed in pajamas.. it’s a little difficult to take them serious when they look so unkept. They also close earlier than their hours are stated on here. So if you go in close to their closing time they might not be open or they will start hounding you and telling you they’ll be closing shortly.

The staff was very professional and very friendly Update: it’s a great place to buy used clothes but if you’re going to sell your used clothes don’t expect them to take most of it but it’s still worth trying

I would not advise spending your time to sell things here. They didn’t even accept brand new clothes with the tags on for popular brands like Disney. Or maybe some staff don’t look through the stuff thoroughly. So besides driving there, unloading the stuff, waiting an hour for them to process it, you will still be left having to find a place to get rid of most of it. As others mentioned, they don’t give you much for items either. You’re better off spending your time posting your stuff online to sell or give away. As far as buying items, you will save just a little over buying new items. If you have more time on your hands than money, it may be worth it to you. It’s not easy to bring your kids in a stroller because the aisles are narrow but I have done it and others do too.

Terrible customer service. It was my first time selling to this place. They low ball you. It is better to donate your items to kids in need. I will never sell again. I left the store without the items they didn't take. No one stopped me. They sent me a text after I was already home, saying I didn't take the items they didn't accept. I responded, and they texted back with a rude condescending text. I beg people to please just donate. I learned my lesson and will be contacting the owner. I have no problem coming to get the stuff I left, but I don't deserve to be spoken to rudely, especially since us sellers are what keeps this store open!

Love this store! It takes time to go through all the stuff but I’ve found some great stuff for my daughter. You don’t make a ton of money when you sell but that’s why they’re able to have low prices so I’ll take it! Call before you go sell though because sometimes they stop buying early.

Great place to sell your used kids items: clothing, toys, shoes, books, etc. They have a great selection of used items to purchase too. However, if you're selling stuff beware they won't take everything. When you come in, they'll give you a ticket and you have to wait about 45 minutes for them to look over your items. They'll only take high quality items. I bought a huge bag of clothing and they only accepted about 10 out of the 60 items I brought in. They don't pay much but it's better than goodwill who give you nothing in return.

Came all the way down from Mohegan lake to sell and was turned away. Apparently they "close up early on Sundays". It was 3pm and the hours say they are open until 5pm. Please make that information more available. I thought this was going to be great and help us out with having to buy new stuff constantly. I guess I will take my stuff to the Good Will near me and save myself the trip.

I am a frequent shopper at Once Upon a Child, I honestly feel when they have the sales they really have the sales, I bought uggs when they had their boot sale for 12.00, a pair of Jordan’s that barely look worn for 15.00. The selling I wouldn’t do here I feel they are always overstock & they have a tendency of not returning or low balling said items. Overall feel this is a great place for when they have sales.

I love the things there BUT I’ve came a couple times and the stuff I’ve brought was in such great condition n name brand I got 12$ for three pairs of sneakers plus two pairs of timberland boots 12$??!? I can’t go back anymore at least for the selling

I brought in clothes to sell for the first time including several (lightly used or brand new) expensive name brand bamboo sleepers and sleep sacks and they were unaccounted for after I handed over my bags. When they had my offer ready I went through the clothes that they said that they wanted and I saw that none of the Bamboo or boutique items were in that bag(and the offer was very low) so I just figured that they put it in my other bag with the stuff that they rejected. My baby was screaming at the checkout, so I didn’t have time to check the bag that they rejected. I just trusted that all the other things were there. I had over 30 items mostly brand new or only worn once or twice and they offered me $34. It was fine because I didn’t see any of the boutique items in the pile that they wanted and I just wanted to get rid of the clothes. However upon arriving home and looking in the bag of stuff they rejected, I realized that none of the Bamboo/botique items were there. These well-known brand items were purchased at $30-50 a piece, so we are talking several hundred dollars worth of items missing. It was my mistake in trusting that this was an honest establishment. I would advise you to be very thorough and make sure that all of your items are accounted for if you continue to do business with them. I am very disappointed and I won’t be returning or recommending this store to anyone I know. Unrelated to the aforementioned incident,there is a very low standard for clothing sold here. Many of the clothes have stains and holes in them.

I don’t recommend this place. The prices aren’t any better than a typical sales day at The Children’s Place or Old Navy. Many of the clothes are from these exact stores but at least in the store, the clothes are brand new. The one piece that you do find that is considered name brand is still kinda expensive for being second hand. I think this concept worked great in the beginning when it was brand new. But now that everyone knows about it and tries to sell, they no longer buy with the same frequency because they are so overstocked. My husband and I have taken a few trips to attempt to sell. Mainly barely used baby clothes and some boy clothes that our older kids outgrew. They never buy our things because they are always overstocked. Another things I don’t like is that they don’t give you much money back for what they do take. It’s not worth the gas money in my opinion. I’d rather just wait for a sale at a children’s store.

Oh man! I love this place. I'm big on reuse, recycle, reduce. This is right up my alley. Why spend so much on brand new kids clothes and shoes they will grow right out of? Lots of name brand items and so much variety and unbeatable prices?! YES!

Very neat and clean store with very reasonable prices. I brought 4 pieces in and received “30% of what we would sell it for”. Fair amount for used item. Customers service was stern, quick and to the point, getting customers in and out. Some of the toys should be free based on condition but overall a great variety. There is FREE parking! I’ll be back.

I love this place been going here since my kids were born and now reading all these reviews makes me sick. Some people truly have the nerve to lie about this place, There are certain protocol's the staff have to follow and if they aren't accepting your clothing they will gladly give you a reasonable explanation. the amount they offer can not be negotiated( remember they need to make money too)and if you don't agree with it you can just decline and take your items back which I like ,so people complaining that they rip people off this is false they are not having a gun to your head to make you take the amount they offer but this place has great finds for babies I found a cute two piece Nike set for my daughter super cute. This place dose not discriminate as well because the staff is quite diverse so most of these reviews are nonsense. I've personally seen many customers act rudely to the poor female staff for doing there job and following the guidelines so sorry ladies, I just cant get over how no one talks about how poorly customers treat staff or give them attitude some people got to remember the staff are people too. But overall amazing store !!!!!!!!!

I’ve been meaning to write a review for quite some time, but reading the reviews made me want to write one even more. Let me just say I absolutely love this store. I’ve dealt with all staff during the morning and evening and they are all very friendly and do their best to be quick and accommodating. A lot of people seem to get upset because they aren’t being offered hundreds of dollars for things they would’ve thrown out anyway if Once Upon a Child wasn’t an option. It upsets me to see such negative reviews being publicly posted. If you love the store as much as you claim to, when you have an issue you should give the owner a call instead of posting a negative review, especially with people’s name in it! It’s quite sad that some people’s entitlement causes them to make people lose business or their jobs, especially during a pandemic. Disgusting! Bravo to ALL of the staff that do an amazing job!! I’m sure you aren’t told enough, but keep up the great work!
