WOW I cant believe these guys are still here! I used these guys in the 60s and 70s when I needed parts for my cars. They ALWAYS came through. When I was stationed in Key west I actually bought a Muncie 4 speed to replace a Borg Warner T10 in my 62 Grand Prix. They open the case and showed me all the gears. I stuffed it into my seabag and flew to Key West. 60 pounds and they had to transport it because I was active military. HATS OFF to Brookfield!!!!!!
The Old LADY at the front desk is very RUDE!!! She gets mad at everyone asking a question! She made me wait about 20 min just to give me a copy of my weight. Not sure how management can handle her. Very bad experience.
The woman working the front desk needs to be fired immediately. Completely unprofessional, rude, and has a horrible attitude toward anyone who disturbs her with questions about how to get around the scrap yard/cash out. The way I was spoken to….I’m speechless. I’d rather throw my metal in the trash than deal with her ever again. Worst experience ever.
The guys who took my metals were very polite and helpful. The woman in the office, however, was beyond rude for no good reason. After she pretended she didn't see me at the window for a few minutes, I finally spoke up and asked if I was at the right place to cash in my ticket. She basically told me she couldn't be bothered because she was "too busy". After hanging up her phone call with her friend, she finally took the clearly-taxing 30 seconds to cash me out. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, if you can.
Excellent, friendly and detailed customer service on the phone when I initially called to schedule pick up of a car for scrap. Driver was on time, actually a little early which was great, called to give me a heads up of his arrival. Professional driver, loaded the vehicle quickly and safely. Overall a smooth transaction and I would love to have the pleasure to work with Brookfield again in the future. They completely turned around a bad situation with a lousy car with more issues than what I wanted to deal with
Connected with them through Peddle.com, pickup was quick and easy at the agreed upon time and price. I didn't get my drivers name but he was polite and helpful.
They were towing a van out of my neighbor's when they hit a wire. The wire then whipped into my conversion van smashing the windows. The tow truck driver then just drove away. Luckily a neighbor saw and called the cops. All of a sudden I get a promise to have my window fixed from the owner Mike. So I tell the cops I dont want to press charges for hit and run.Months later and many calls a window guy comes to my house I take day off work. Guy comes with wrong window. I call the owner a few times with no answer back. He has never called me back and now it's to late to press charges. My van is all but destroyed inside from multiple times water getting inside.I would of ordered a new window but has to be someone with an auto business. I have been to hunts point and all over internet and cant find window. This is bull and I feel they scammed me into not calling cops. Thanks guys really nice of you.
This place i thought was like family but i guess not when they told me to bring in a camper for $127 and dump it and they kicked me out but oh well ben weistmans is better and nicer people and better prices
