There’s no team like the one that runs this place! Blessed to see them every Friday. The ladies running the scale/office are simply delightful every interaction. To say they’re appreciated would be an understatement
I have bought new steel for projects from Weitsman in Owego must be 20 years now, it's my go to for about anything in steel.
We just had a 12in x 30ft I beam delivered, placed the order Saturday with a Tuesday delivery date, it arrived Tuesday.
Too far away or I would run a truck part time for them.
Friendly and accommodating staff whether it be drivers, equipment operators, or office personnel. It can be hectic getting to the tipping floor given the amount of trucks and machinery moving around, but everybody is patient, friendly, and courteous. It is a treat getting to frequent such a unique and specialized facility!
Weitsman had an unfortunate mistake with a driver not securing their load correctly. The company was quick to make amends to all the drivers impacted, including myself. Despite my struggles to get documentation of the damage, Upstate stood up and provided complete reimbursement with great service. When I was delayed, they took initiative to follow up with me to resolve it. Overall, great service and integrity!
I have come to know if you take anything Wiseman you do everything in his power to steal it from you cut rate prices weight machines that don’t add up and sometimes out out lying about what kind of Metal you have you’re better off throwing your metal in the trash because you’re not gonna get a fair deal or a fair shake from Adam Weitsman
