We moved here about 2 1/2 years ago. We are originally from Queens. I don’t normally post things about things but I feel that our neighbors should know. This Mechanic Richard (owner) from Huntington Auto Repair is very close to my house so we gave him an opportunity to be our new go to Mechanic. I thought he was a very honest man but my husband did not feel the same way. I fought for this place to be our new go to place. We continued to use them against my husband’s wishes. I said, “Let’s give him a chance.” I had my car towed there yesterday Thursday 5/14/26. Richard told my husband that there is all sorts of things wrong with our car and gave us a price of $2,700. My husband was extremely upset and we towed it to our mechanic in Queens. Turns out the work that needed to be done was $750. I informed Richard and as he had told me in the past it’s because the job has to be done right. So basically he’s telling me to my face I’m gonna add this & that to make the price more costly and make you believe that what I’m saying is true. He also claimed that the price we got is because our old mechanic is not doing the job correctly and that we’ll have issues in a couple of months, “GUARANTEED!” The reality is that we will have a 2 year warranty for the Alternator being put in to our car. So after 2 tows & the work I still didn’t pay $2700, cash $2500. I would have paid almost 2,000 over the true price. I’m truly shocked!! I really believed that Richard was an honest man. My HUSBAND was RIGHT about him. Please be cautious when bringing your car to this shop. They will rob you blind🧑🦯 ‼️
Honest people, great pricing, if you’re looking for a shop that won’t rip you off and get the job done right, this is the spot. You see so many mechanics spewing nonsense and upcharging you like crazy, they told the truth and got straight to the point and didn’t rip me off, I’ll tell you this this is my new spot

I called Huntington auto repair to take a car in to get inspected before purchasing it. They were very accommodating and were able to fit me in to their busy schedule. If it wasn’t for their advice I would have purchased this car and lost a lot if money. They were thorough, professional and kind. I would definitely recommend this shop.
Fair pricing for fast, honest, quality work, which makes Richard and his team exceptional. I usually like to do my own repairs, but they took care of my car like it was their own. I highly recommend them!
