This place was great until the new manager took over. Can't take the cart outside unless you are white - I have a knee issue that she saw, but nope. A white person was fine to take it to his car. Can't return items that you didn't even use. The manager is super rude and her being Hispanic makes it even worse. If you can go to the other Harbor Freight in Nassau County.

I love this store! Without sacrificing the quality too much the prices are excellent in reference to places like Home Depot and Lowe's. The service and courteous approach by their employees are second to none. It's a shame they don't have a location close to me!

It’s amazing how being brown influences whether you can leave the store with a shopping cart or not. The cashiers both said that we are not allowed to leave the store with the shopping cart, but the sign says that is posted on the door says we can. I imagine if we were of different ethnicity we would’ve been able to. I really hate being discriminated against.

Harbor Freight. It's the place for all Diy and professionals. For finding tools at reasonable prices.

Best place to go and get hard to find tools

Purchased over $400 in merchandise and after paying i was told I can not take the cart out to my car .... I had to pull up in front of a very busy store and strip and make an extra trip for what to accommodate a made up policy ? I have back issues and the stuff I purchased was heavy and iam supposed to make a extra trip so their employees dont have to chase carts down at the end of a shift. I was told by a manager simply "Because that's their store policy" Yet there is a clear legible sign on the exit that states .Clearly, you may take the carts out to your car but please return them . When I brought that sign to her attention I was scolded with a huge attitude "why is it a problem for you no other customers complain" Well maybe other customers dont have lower back pain that gets worse the more I walk especially in the cold but God forbid this manager had the decency to even ask or offer to help and I was told again nasty "go get your car " So of course my merchandise was paid for and the sign said VERY CLEARLY YOU MAY TAKE THE CART TO YOUR CAR so I took the cart to my car and still was nice wnough to bring it back into the store as they do not have a cart rack outside to serve that very purpose. Apparently she is setting the tone for the rest of the employees to actually create problems for customers instead of solving them ....Simply completly unprofessional Sorry I had no attitude with the cashier or the manger at all i simply asked a question and had to be spoke to like a child by someoen in a management postition..there is no other side to this story this is exactly what happend

LOVE THIS PLACE..... I go every weekend. Sales are great and the weekend specials are crazy good. Remember to get the TWO YEAR, ITC membership. Its only $45 and with all the free stuff and special sales.... it pays for itself in less than a year. Even if u dont go often, its still only $2/month for 2 years. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Some of the staff members on the floor were not very knowledgeable. The one who was assisting the cashiers by the name of Jay was very knowledgeable and helpful. Also was the manager Cecilia.

I went in for a 3 ton floor jack that was on sale. I couldn't find it so I asked an employee. He went in the back and found one. After I paid he put it in my car. What a nice guy.

Great store, selection & prices. 5mins and I was done. Gets no better than that!

Found the item I wanted on sale with a special coupon. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, my only complaint is that only two cashiers handling a long line of customers looking to checkout.

At the checkout, we were served by the manager and another person. When we asked for help with a return, both displayed a rude attitude, telling us they didn't have the patience to help us, and didn't resolve the issue. We decided to go to the Amityville store, where we received friendly service and were able to resolve the issue without difficulty.

I love this Harbor Freight. It's always clean and stocked. The employees don't bother you but when you need help, they're available. And as you should know, awesome price

I want to give a shout out to this store. In a world where you go to a store and there's no one to help you this store is amazing. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and the management is very very organized. I've had many instances where someone l has dropped everything they've been doing and have walked me to a product. Just want to recognize this store for the awesome place that it is. I'm always looking forward to going to buy tools because I get polite and helpful people who are there ready to help.

I bought a drain snake online for $99.99, went to return it instore and they rang me up for return at $79.99. I did not get my full return with the correct tax amount included. The manager refused to give correct amount with tax included into my credit card because she said that I did not check my invoice for the correct amount, and that that online and the store price are different. Meanwhile right around the corner of the cashier, the same drain snake was listed in their store for $99.99!!! You cant blame a customer for a mistake when its your computer system at fault. Customer service here is 0/10 and they will 100% put the blame on you. do not come here, they will try to charge you a 15% restocking fee.. Just go to home depot. in order for me to get the 20$ return, I was told to buy more than a 50$ purchase and then get the 20$ credit on the purchase. Will absolutely not be coming back and will never recommend any of my friends to come here.

Worse ever customer service, some of the products have opened destroy boxes taped on, and they wouldn't take a return I was bringing. It is infuriating, and I know they try to do their job but don't tell me you don't sell it with damage boxes to customers. Anyway I always end up going to Home Depot ?

I'm all over the place when I shop no matter what Harbor Freight I go into the people are very good they're very helpful very thoughtful good people from Suffolk,Nassau,to the city. I wish I was working and they were around then It would have made my life a lot easier. Can't have everything but now I'm glad they are thanks Andrew

This was my first time in the store. It felt like being in a candy store. I explored just to see what they offer. I think the prices are great. The staff was very helpful. And I saw a few things I would like to go back for. HF will be seeing me more often in the future.

I was absolutely shocked by the disturbing ? prices ? . The presentation OUTSIDE WAS A DISPLEASURE to gaze upon The prices, in my opinion, are too high. The staff is extremely nice they are the only reason I purchased this day. The store is neat ?.

A great deal and valuable tool was added to my toolset now ❤️ Harbor freight sells the best drywall sander 9 ‘’ was really worth it, also big thanks to Lisa/Liz she was very helpful and I love her big smile and attitude and vibe are perfect and I was actually in a long line asking for vacuum bucket kit if they have she goes” we carry it want me to grab it for you, you can just stay in the line” I couldn’t thank her enough…. A real and authentic customer service that’s the role-model also big thanks to WARREN at the cashier caught him right before catching his lunch break ????????

Greg you are the man! I went to the Brooklyn branch and was denied the sale of the US General four drawer tool box because I was driving a car. However I went to Hempstead and Greg the supervisor HAPPILY sold me the toolbox and helped me load it into the car. Great service and EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE BY GREG.

October 26th during the COVID pandemic this is the line. Mind you, this is just the line, not inclusive of those shopping and staff. I arrived at the store at 10:05. I had the item I wanted to buy within 3 minutes. I stop on that line and was checked out at 10:28. One cashier. Once she had a question for management, it all stopped several times. I personally asked the manager to open another line after not moving for 15 minutes. I worked retail. It is not an easy job. Especially dealing with the public. We can expect lines in businesses, but management must respond better during COVID. I should have to ask twice for the line to keep moving. If the manager is helping a customer, let the line that is reaching the back of the store keep moving.

The Harbor Freight in the Bronx is about half the story the story is. I'm aware that they're the same company, but this one is huge in comparison. So with that being is a given they have a lot more to offer.???

The Manager of the store was awesome. Actually all the employees are very helpful and respectful. Even with long lines they go out of there way to help you out without any attitude. I bought the bench press from them

I don't like the harbor freight brand, Pittsburgh But this ICON brand, looks like it has been made really good, it's cheap on price but all the tools looks really well made

Today I shop here for some big item and small item, some item is on the top of the shelf that I cannot reach, I asked for help and they just ignore me! then give me a hard time! Because I have multiple item and I cannot carry out all at once, so I separate to pay them in 3 times and I using 20% off coupon, and second time they so upset that I come again to shop for another big item at the same day, they try to kicking me out the last one and say you cannot using coupon, I know I would not using coupon but it's in your book why I cannot use? Discrimination?WTF! I never ever have a shopping experience worse like this everybody yelling at you are they crazy! This is my favorite store but now why they do things like that to me?? Is so difficult to give a bad Common like this!
