Best little spot to get some Spanish food , the lady in the back / side of store makes really good food .

A place to avoid, if you are not one of their regular or if you are not bringing meat, don't bother, ridiculous hours waisted to off load 4 pallets.

11/2025 Would give minus 10 stars IF YOU ARE A TRUCKING CARRIER, AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAUGE , Check-IN 8am CHECK OUT 7pm 12 hour stageing for 20 pallets of frozen pork Gen pro logistic do not pay detention or layover .

I came from NJ turnpike if it says 12’6 just ignore it , keep going take Exit 32.. and If you have followed the google map and went on metropolitan ave - you will see a yellow overhead saying no trucks.. you are on the WRONG side. TRUCK ENTRANCE is on GRAND ST, bridge says 13’4 just ignore it, go though it and take a right turn right away. Once you entered Park your truck on the side, take your paperwork There’s guard wearing safety vest he can guide or produce docks are all the way in back. In and out 1 hour..

Very reasonable price But don't use their restrooms Trash all over in the bathrooms.

I took exit 18 off 495, GPS took me around a few corners but easily managed in a 53ft, Security lead me to Receiving, you can fit under the bridge on Grand with a 13'6" trailer.

First come first serve ….truck driver don’t worry about low bridges 13-4 you can go thru and take turn right

Horrible place only because they do not respect OTR drivers time/ waste driver's clock down all day long for nothing. I arrived at 7am like told to by the broker and there were 12 to 14 other trucks all told to arrive at the same time FCFS. They left my trailer load until very last at the end of the day/ from since being there first thing in the morning. If...you arrive the evening previous you cannot sleep inside the gated/locked property...outside on the street nearby....risking getting ticketed/ booted/ or towed. $250 lumper fee( payable before they begin) for 13 pallets. They gave me a door at about 1115 or 1130. But...then once I got into the door, they still did not BEGIN unloading until another 2 hrs later 130pm. Once they finally decided to get around to beginning they took about 1hr time to offload the product off. The dock is kind of tight to back in to, and so the security guard will help guide you if necessary...so that part is helpful. Since...you are going to be there ALL....freaking....DAY, the cafe inside the Western Beef grocery store is very reasonable prices for NYC. I didn't eat in there, but it seemed inexpensive for such an expensive neighborhood or city. What a terrible waste of time all day so OO do not come here to deliver ok. They will absolutely mess up your next pickup you might have had planned so do not schedule your next load yet, because this slow unloading receiver will very likely screw that plan up for you.

Good parking but every time I buy chicken there it expires after a day. I had these chicken legs in my fridge for 1 day and it went bad. But that’s my fault this is the third time it happen and I should have know better then to buy chicken from here

Hi my fellow truck drivers Western Beef Open Gate around 04:30 AM then you can park truck inside if you here early all nearby streets you will find parking. There are two sides inside one for meat second for produce people come by 06:00 AM you can check in then. Yard dog have attitude he will not help (typical New Yorker attitude) do not book next load until you have paperwork in hand. Receiving Docks are all the way back by Their Grocery store inside. Entrance is from Grand Street. Bridge is ok for 13 ‘6 even though it says 12’5 I’ll attach photos from inside warehouse just have patience friends you will be fine.

Truckers: use I-278 to exit 32- metropolitan ave to grand st. ENTRANCE IS VIA GRAND AVE- check photo uploaded. I arrived at 0800 for my appt at 0800, it’s 848 and still movement in my trailer, so far so good. When you enter via grand Ave, YOU MAY TAKE THE BRIDGE THAT SAYS 13’4” just before it but stay very close to your right, it is a very tight lane. AS SOON as you go over the bridge, immediately make a Right into the Lot (you will see an old Western Beef sign) this is the entrance for trucks. Once you enter, follow the yellow path (in my picture) to the beige guard shack, a man in a safety vest will approach you.

Very congested. Cars, trailers Semi-trucks, small trucks, people walking and all lanes of delivery. If you see a yellow overhead ( no truck clearance), you entered at the wrong side. Semi-trailer can fit /drive thru. Drive to guard shack and get instructions where to park. My appt was 10am. Big Store and has a small eatery. Dine in or to go. Prices was fair and cooked food was fresh.

Very well organized, good prices!! clean supermarket. The only thing is that their staff at the register needs to be more professional.

I went to western beef many times to do shopping. The supermarket is very clean in and out, The environment is very cleaned. The staff are polite and helpful to their costumers. Its a very stocked supermarket anything that you need it there for you.

I've been coming to this supermarket since I was a little girl. They have great quality of food for a fraction of the price in my area. I travel from L.I. to get a great deal.

I am very disturbed and appalled at the WESTERN BEEF on Webster Avenue. This morning11/19/2024 at 8 am I walked in to make a simple purchase and was accused of stealing an apple when I actually purchased a dishwashing liquid and 2 boxes of shells and cheese not to mention a bag. The manager YESENIA, had the audacity to say that she saw me stealing when in fact what she saw was me walk into the produce section. Furthermore, if I was claimed to have been watched why wasn't the camera checked? It took her to check the produce number on the apple to realize that the apple was not stolen from there. Not only did she embarrass me, she didn't even apologize for the mistake of accusing me. At some point the discrepancy became my purse needing to be checked. Can you believe the attendant at the door didn't speak English to even tell me that because I had a big purse it was to be checked at the door. I asked YESENIA why wasn't that first noted at the door? she tells him in Spanish because he doesn't speak English. DO BETTER!!! IT ISNT MY FAULT YOU DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH. I made them refund my entire purchase...The fact that i got got accused of stealing an apple and she was being WRONG AND STRONG!!

Produce receiving staff is lazy. Appointment 6 am checked in 5 am it’s 9 am still not get call for door . Avoid this place to deliver. Super junk place in Brooklyn,NY , they don’t deserve even 1 star ?????pos

This place is a hidden gem for those who don't have a membership at Costco or BJ's but still want to buy items in bulk. You can get your basic items here for less than at other supermarkets in the area. Don't walk, run to this place!

Western beef has a lot of good bargains and a lot of items, especially for Spanish people. But the number one thing that they do great is make fresh hot bread every morning. I think twice a day, nice hot toasty fresh Italian bread;

Like home My Father used to shop he's gone like family hope they stay.

March 28, 2024. Shopping Carts r still dirtier than ever. I don’t use them. If they had clean carts they may get customers to purchase more. I would. But I only get the bread n occasionally flowers. Shame shame. Today 1 yr 8 months later……NO CHANGE! OMG. PLEASE clean your Shopping carts. They are disgusting and filthy. If it wasn’t for that wonderful bread you bake, I wouldn’t go to Western beef. Western Beef. ... It is renovation time. For 40 years I have shop here and it looks worse everyday. today, January 12, 2020... HAD to change the rating to a 1... This Supermarket is in dire need a a make over. This place is dirty, their carts need to be replaced. they are filthy n dirty. The only great thing is their Italian bread.... the best in the area. Humm wonder how those ovens must look like..

Nice place to deliver to if you know what you are doing

It's organized and clean but the staff is definitely racist to people of color. On several occasions I would purchase something either after or before someone of Hispanic culture and they would ask them if they needed bags but wouldn't ask me They would also help put items in bags nut not me. They would be super polite to them but not me ...on several different occasions almost like every other day because I work in the lot next door so I come here often

Had a variety of things I needed. Plenty of parking reasonable prices.

Western Beef is one of those supermarkets that offer good deals. The best about these large supermarkets is they all offer you many choices and options to choose from in brands. With these businesses/stores you can't go wrong when you do your shopping experience. They have a large parking lot for your vehicle and we all know that's a plus for any business.

If u come to drop off, be prepared for the stupidest guards ever! Dnt have nothing better to do than act like they own the place. Power trip when ur jst securtiy... Smh never again!!

They have improved the location with more quality products and cleaned the store up.
