Went to return something to Amazon. Was in and out in under 10 minutes. Line was long but workers worked really fast. Place is beautiful and clean. Just be mindful of the area and keep your eyes up at all time.

No one helped with the dog issue. Dirty animals wandering among the fresh ingredients. Whole Foods needs to enforce food safety rules because these animals should stay at home.

I'll never go back to the pizza counter again after I was racially targeted by night staff. Denying to make a white family pizza it was 6:30 this woman told her own manager to make it she was not going to. She gave other customers pizza but when it was my turn she said no. She treated me like it was harlem in the 60s..

The management at Whole Foods, especially at the Harlem store, is very unprofessional and shows little respect for employees. The lack of appreciation and the way staff are treated is extremely unpleasant and disappointing. What is happening there is unacceptable.

The cashier was more courteous compared the RUDE TL this was my last time visiting the Harlem location. Very unhelpful & dismissing Team Appreciation? It's NOT HONORED at this location.

A wonderful employee (believe her name was Erica?) helped me wrap my bouquet today. Thanks so much!! She went above and beyond

Whole Foods has a lot of options to choose from even for vegans. Their products are high quality (lacking mold) and are at an affordable price. The store is clean and well organized. From my experience, security looks professional, and well trained. I definitely like the selection of vegan products offered here; and that's an understatement.

Me and my wife had a great customer service experience with either believe the guy name was Ryan. He is a true asset to the company. He was informative and very approachable. I would hope that Whole Foods would recognize his customer service. He did a great job and I’m hoping that the higher ups see this.

I had a good experience with a worker called Anthony. I would love to get him info if I can. I really like his personality and he treated me so well. Definitely give him a rase.

I know part of it related to Amazon returns. They go above and beyond... Store opens at 8am and Returns at 9am, but no problem, store customer service took care about my return item. Nice.

Worst Whole Foods ever. The Mac and cheese in the hot bar is truly terrifying most days and the tres leches was put out on the floor frozen today with no leche in sight. Not to mention the blatant racial profiling happening. Terrible experience every single time.

I had to return my vitamins & the lady at Customer Service was so understanding. Google said Whole Foods closed at 10. But they closed the vitamin section at 9pm, which I was unaware of. So when I got there, they rushed me & I chose what I could. Ended up returning, but the lady at Customer Service was courteous & had a great personality. We need more people like her in the customer service world. Because most of the other staff there (especially the security guards in the red shirts) have attitudes. The Spanish one especially. They’re not very professional. I wish our people would do better sometimes. It’s upsetting. But five stars because of that one girl! Give her a raise! Lol

I am a private chef and I unfortunately have to shop here because I have a client in the area. The security guards walking around following people is actually pretty creepy and aggressive. As I’m shopping I see the same guy following me in each aisle. There was a point where he wasn’t fully in the aisle, but at the end of it, kind of hiding like Homer Simpson in a bush. You’re not camouflage. What is a guy in a Nike tech suit doing with a facial cream and a quart of milk in his basket for 20 minutes, be so for real ?!!! It makes a shopping experience VERY uncomfortable. Please do better. Hire people to watch cameras instead maybe ?!

Okay, so it is a little ‘different’ from WFs in other parts of town. But overall, a lifesaver for the neighborhood. Yes, there are homeless people hanging around outside all the time, but I think it’s because there’s some kind of rehab clinic nearby. In terms of its general function, though, it serves the purpose well. Sometimes it hasn’t adequately restocked basics, but there are many reasons that are beyond its control. Most of the employees here are helpful, and yes, security is necessary and appreciated. (I’ve read some complaints about security—I’ve never had an issue. If security are watching and doing their job, that’s fine. I’m happy that they’re watching to keep us safe! Thank you, security detail!) Some great employees have dropped everything they’re doing to lead me to what I was looking for, or, they’ll go back to the stock room to check if they have anymore of what I’m looking for. I’ve only seen one customer service rep who made a line of people wait for ten minutes while she chatted with a fellow employee. Everyone was just watching and waiting, and even the other employee was pointing to the queue, but she would not be rushed. But this was a small issue (but a point off because we unfortunately remember the bad things more clearly!)

I spend a lot of money and am a weekly shopper; as I prefer to purchase fresh food; I restock often. Though I enjoy the selection and food, the security guards are AWFUL, they aggressively follow you down every aisle, even while waiting on the check out line. I can tell they are alerted to follow me. It’s harassment, they are immature! I’ve never stolen anything in my life! No one who spends $500+ a month should be harassed by security. The Wholefood team members are great, the security needs to be REPLACED!!! Get a new security company!! Why own Amazon stock to be treated as such!!

The two male fishmongers are always helpful and pleasant and listen to directions and get it right every time. This past Saturday there was a female behind the counter. I stood there waiting for her to finish what she was doing so I could place my order but when she finished, turned around and stared at me. Not sure if she was ready or not but I immediately felt the humongous attitude from behind the counter. I asked for three things. 2 shrimp and scallop cakes and 2 cod cakes, and two flounder filets. Now today when I go to open the the cod cakes I see they are CRAB cakes that costed me $12.20 when the cod cakes are $3.99 apiece. Now it's too late to go back to whole foods with seafood that was handed to me two days ago to let them know it was WRONG and to get my money back. OH AND WHAT I ACTUALLY ORDERED! I don't eat crab & allergic to it so just opening the package made me sick and running for the benedryl. Perhaps management can get her to have less of an attitude like she's going to beat the customers' ass, and focus on customers' needs because I know I won't going back to that fish counter if she's there because she was so nasty, acting like she's doing me a favor. Even saying thank you was met with attitude. I'm annoyed with myself for not checking what she handed me (although that would probably have pissed her off more) and just trusted she would listen and do her job accurately. There are too many other places to get seafood so hopefully the two guys will be there whenever I go or I'm just going to go somewhere else. Trader Joe's is up the street and there are fish places all over Lenox Ave.

Everything runs smoothly. Better than the whole foods near 86st & 3rd avenue with their profiling. Even the one near Lexington ave is great treat you with respect , just as Harlem branch does.

This Whole Foods market is amazing. It has everything you need like a supermarket but it's more like a super-supermarket because everything is truly fresh. Don't worry about workers putting red dye on your meats to appear "fresh". The bakery, meat station, the cooked food, and the cold cut station are always on point. Shout out to the white coats on the floor rotating the fresh fruit and vegetables everyday. I recommend.

2025: Be sure to look out for their occasional 50% Off select items in the store. Unsure what happened to Jeni"s Ice Cream Sandwiches?? Haven't seen any good sales in a while like previous. Prices still a bit high. I do like the fact of the kiosk-likr self registers as this used to take a long time in line. However, this is the only place that has these types of ice cream sandwiches Amazing!

great selections and the prices, I love the store just wished it had less employees all over the place, I guess is due to theft but i feel overwhelm with so many people doing nothing around.

First time at this location. Overall a fairly standard whole foods, with a few notable exceptions: * The hot bars were already being cleaned at 7:45pm (closing time of 9pm), save for one island with still some food left... Couldn't tell if they just simply closed the hot bars earlier than other whole foods or if they ran out of food. It was a Sunday so maybe close earlier than usual? * While I was browsing the hot bar, a woman came up to me asking me to buy her some food. I had never experienced this before in a whole foods, so I froze for a few seconds processing what just happened she quickly moved on after I politely refused. The event bothered me for a little bit, but I decided that it was not a big deal and could happen anywhere. Overall still sufficiently satisfied with the shopping experience, mostly got what I came for, self-check out was quick and painless, etc., so still a 4 ⭐

I really like this Whole Foods. I get all my meat from here (fish, poultry, and meat). Everything is as great quality as you’d expect from a Whole Foods, from the Mediterranean bar to the sushi. Their buffet isn’t as good as some of the other Whole Foods I’ve been to, but it’s going to be hard to compete with all the nearby restaurants anyway.

This whole foods market is one of the busiest in the city. I go often to this market to buy lunch. At times, lines are long so store has self checkouts to ease the process.

Super clean and quite large! The top level has mostly fresh pre-made food options and fruits. There are escalators going down to the main level with normal groceries. They have an escalator for carts to bring them up to the top checkout level. Only reason I give it 4/5 is because the up escalator was broken, leaving to a bunch of people having to walk up the stairs. With one escalator, it’s tough getting back upstairs as you also have elderly taking their time going up the same stairs.

Great customers service. The staff was very helpful but when it came to some of the items like meat and seafood the selection was very limited. I didn't like the checkout line system that they have set up. You actually end up waiting for a long time as suppose making a line behind the cash register. The restroom was clean and the cashier was helpful.

Pros: - Fairly well laid out and easy to navigate - Fairly well-stocked, with the exception of certain sale items - Decent-sized eating area - Downstairs grocery area is fairly quiet and roomy - not cramped and crowded like the WF at 59th Street or Union Square - Good selection of produce, with some unusual items Cons: - Check-out area is awkwardly laid-out, due to a large refrigerated section blocking the traffic. I had some unpleasant encounters with people who were basically trying to get by. Whoever designed this area should rethink it asap. - Smaller than some other Whole Food stores. Bakery was especially small, and I saw few gluten-free items. - Hard to find an employee downstairs if you have questions - Store exit is far from the entrance - to get back to 125th Street you have to walk about 3/4 of a block. Overall, a welcome addition to this neighborhood. I hope it does well and improves as it goes along.

So excited to finally have a Whole Foods close to home. This is just what Harlem needed. It's close to all of the major bus and train lines that run through Harlem. The food was fresh and the store was clean. The store employees were eager to help. There are lots of options, and this store supports and promotes local vendors.

Omg thank you Whole Foods for adding a location to Harlem. The selection is great, lots of workers willing to help, and very clean. I love how many local options there are as well. It's a bus ride from me now so I won't have to always go to the one on 2 Ave or 14th street.
