My old phone was damaged so I couldn't transfer my files to my new phone. I took it to uBreakifix and technician Jason was able to restore my old info back to my new phone. Also, Just want to thank store manager Mark who facilitated getting my phone fixed on time. I can definitely say I was not disappointed!!

The fix was to replace the battery in my iPhone 8. It was no surprise that they had to order it. The time needed for the shipment was pretty long, but this probably was not your fault. However, when it finally did show up, no one called me…I called you a few days later and learned it was there. This system makes no sense—do you really want customers to call daily (over a period of weeks) in order to know when to come in? The actual work went well, and an agent gave me some very useful tips regarding charging and conservation of the battery…excellent service.

Be aware, independently of what time you book your appointment in the website, they will not honor the same day service that their own booking system agreed to. On top of that, overpriced.

Update: Got a refund for the device payments sans initial $37 after being in possession of the device for 7 weeks, and they WIPED all the data that was left on my device for no apparent reason. Manager wouldn’t come speak to me themselves, and gave the device back with a dead battery also. This has been a journey. Fully. I made an appointment initially for the StuyTown store for June 9th to get my game console repaired. The morning of, I received a text message from someone letting me know they were unable to repair my device there, and had rescheduled my appointment to this store. I came here to drop off my device and paid my diagnostic fee, and told it would either be one part needed or another. I was told it was a WiFi chip issue, and it would cost a specific amount on the phone the same day. I authorized the work, and then waited for a phone call to let me know when it would be finish. In the interim, I received an email asking for my feedback and hadn’t received a call yet. One week later, on June 16th, I received a phone call again saying my device was there and needed repair and they needed payment before proceeding, which I was not informed of in the initial conversation the week prior on the phone. As I was in transit for the following 2 weeks, and I did not feel comfortable paying over the phone, I had to wait until I was home. The manager (I assume) said they would give me a screen protector on them for the inconvenience and apologize for someone else’s alleged failure on policy. I returned to the store on July 1st or 2nd and made the difference in payment, and was told the part would take 2 further days to arrive. Myself knowing it was 4th of July on Friday, there would likely be a delay. He ordered me a privacy screen for my phone, as I would not need a screen protector for the console. Following the weekend and a work week, I had received no notification. I called the store Saturday morning July 12th. The manager, again confused, said the part was meant to arrive on the 8th and never arrived and said again my device would be ready by Monday latest. I once again never received a notification, and this past Thursday July 17th received a phone call again saying my issue was still not resolved, and I would require MORE money for a different part that would effectively wipe my device. As there was data on the device that was not transferable due to this lack of ability to use WiFi, I was at loss of this and per NYC city law, I would like the removed part returned to me, which brought hesitation to the same manager I had been interacting with from the 16th of June. I authorized the work again and was told the part was in house and the device would be ready by Friday latest, and I would receive a phone call by the end of that day to confirm - which of course I didn’t receive. This whole entire situation has been odd, as this same person made commentary that it was somehow my fault someone had created a different order after my initial drop off, and makes me feel as though this is a grab for some kind of commission or money for the store to demonstrate growth or meet goals, and I feel had. I will be contacting corporate in addition to either have my device fully replaced, returned to me in the condition I dropped it off in and a full refund, or filing a report with the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs, as at this point, the unprofessional nature of this manager’s actions had left a very sour taste in my mouth. I’m also reading someone else is having a similar experience as I am - which also reads as something strange happening here.

I am very thankful I found this place. They do make miracles happen! I was told by samsung to come here to see if they can fix my phone. My phone hasn't been charging with the wire & it keeps popping out that there is moisture or foreign material in it or something. The phone was never dropped in water and I have tried charging it with different wires and cleaned it with the computer air duster thing with no luck. I was only able to charge the phone via wireless dock. The person in the store was so nice and in 10 minutes he came out and told me the phone can charge now. He was so nice & told me to try it at home & if it doesnt work to come back on Monday. I went home to test it out & it works! I am very thankful for their service! Thank you so much. It works now with the charger! I highly recommend them for any issue with your phone. They are authorized providers for samsung and google. They even fix apple products and Microsoft.

I brought my device in around the 6/14 and was told that they would order parts and notify me once it’s time to repair. I hadn’t heard from anyone in about a week so I came in again to follow up. I tried to pay for the parts for them to move forward but the system was done so they said they would just move forward without me paying and contact me. Another week goes by still no communication so I tried to call, no answer multiple times . Eventually I go in and they said the parts had not arrived yet and that they would contact me when they did. Another week has gone by and no one contacts me or answers when I call so I again went to the store. I was told that they were not done yet and that I should come back in another week . I informed him that it’s Almost a month and I have a trip coming and should I expect my device in August?? He says it would be ready in a few days. So a few days later I get an email asking how was my service. I was confused because I had no contact and no device . I called immediately and after being on hold they stated that my device was unrepairable.. so in July 10 I went in to pick up my device. It literally took almost 10 minutes to find it and then he brings out items that aren’t even mine?? Now I’m convinced that this place is unprofessional and I was foolish to trust them with my device. I can’t even feel confident they didn’t strip my device for parts for someone else. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

Really quick and incredible service - my iPhone 13 got water and mineral damage and they fixed it with a new screen in 30 mins. My main concern was salvaging data on my phone that was not backed up, and other places had quotes of $400-575 for data recovery and upwards of 2 weeks time!! While this cost me $217 including tax for a 3rd party screen (or could've paid $300+ for an apple screen). So I was relieved since was worried about losing my precious photos. I'm pleased, although I do wonder if it could've cost around $150 elsewhere for cleanup, labor, and fixing the screen. Granted I don't know how the screen will perform and if my phone will continue to work, since I just got this service today. I did notice some flickering on the phone that made me wonder about the robustness, but phone is working splendidly and I'm grateful I have my photos and phone back. They were also really great at answering my questions about the process!

I recently used U Break I Fix It to reset and repair my phone, and while the process took a couple of weeks, I was ultimately satisfied with their efficient service. The staff at their Chelsea location were particularly friendly and helpful throughout the repair. Despite the wait, they successfully resolved the issue, and my phone is now working perfectly. I appreciate their thoroughness and the positive experience with their Chelsea team.

They have the worst customer service. Ryan the employee at the register has a bad attitude. I came in to get my portal fixed. I was told a certain price for shipping and to be fixed and it would be fixed by Monday. They had no receipt paper so I had no way to document my purchase. After waiting three days wo no response I called them. I was told the person whose job to diagnose electronics wasn’t even aware I dropped it off mind you I spoke with said person about dropping off my portal. During the phone call I express I felt like they were not being honest with me. I was then rushed into completing a refund via phone. I decided to just send my bf to the store for the refund since I had my doubts about their service. My bf had the card on Apple Pay (it was his card I paid with). But was told we couldn’t get a refund because we didn’t have the card. Even though I paid via Apple Pay and I was already offered a refund through the phone. I have yet to get my refund for $54 and I my Portale is still broken.

I recently had my iPhone 15 max repaired and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service! From the moment I walked in, the staff was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed the issue and gave me a clear estimate of the cost and repair time. If I'm being honest I was expecting some bad news because about a quarter sized whole was on my back screen! The repair was done efficiently, and my phone now works perfectly—just like new! I also appreciate that they used high-quality parts and offered a warranty for extra peace of mind. Their pricing was fair, and the turnaround time was even faster than expected.
